What a great holiday in this lovely hotel in Side. The hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The rooms are excellent as are the facilities. Food was outstanding. I wouldn't say it is a small hotel but in comparison to some of the mega resorts along Lara beach it was definitely more compact. It did show itself when we had rainy days (unfortunately quite a few) and it was hard to escape and find a quiet spot. A great hotel for the family. Lots of kids here which are well catered for by the animation team. The entertainment was first class for the most part, but for me the head animation guy (didn't catch his name) made it for me. Very professional and very very funny. Had his routine down to a fine art. All the animation team were great and from all parts of Russia and surrounding countries. Super friendly and genuinely lovely people who work very hard. Special mention to Angel who ran the water aerobics. A beauty from Kazakhstan. I enjoyed her class most days (weather permitting) We would definitely come back here next year. Missing it already and we haven't even left yet. That day is tomorrow 🙏🏻
I'm a bit late writing this review but primarily I wanted to add it so that a couple of staff members could get the recognition they deserve, and I'll leave that til the end.
We stayed as a family of four, 2 adults, 19yr old, 10yr old. The room was fine for this - I was concerned that that L shaped sofa beds would be too small but they were fine. We were on the quiet side of the hotel and the room was great with large balcony but you definitely heard the road. It wasn't intrusive but it was there.
Pool areas are great, in our 12 night stay we only used the quiet pool once, favouring the lovely side as both boys liked the water polo.
Pool entertainment was excellent as was the Friday foam party where the hotel outs a LOT of effort in - we've been to a few foam parties at hotels and this was easily the best.
Other daytime activities were ok but if I use archery as the example, the equipment was lacking. 3 arrows to share between guests and only 1 had all flights. But the entertainment staff tried really hard.
Food was excellent but the a la carte booking process is a pain, having to WhatsApp at 9am on the dot.
Lunch food in Olea and the beach restaurant were great, excellent service.
Buffet restaurant excellent, great quality, enough choice and superb waiting staff.
Bars: hmmmm. I think they were understaffed. This led to a lack of enthusiasm a lot of the time. Also some advertised spirits aren't available, they're Aldi style dupes - specifically Martini Rosso and Campari, meaning a proper Negroni, as advertised, isn't available. In fairness it was still a decent effort but it's annoying.
Bottles and cans of beer and pop were welcomed, as was the alcohol free beers for a change of pace and nice iced coffees on tap.
Evening entertainment was pretty good but you need to be in the lounge for 8pm to get a table, in the peak holiday times at least.
TV in bars and rooms have Bein Sport so you can watch F1 if it matters. It did to me :)
Overall it's a nice hotel, not the standard of nearby Akra Sorgun but it's also cheaper, and close enough. Like an Aldi dupe, ha!
Shout out and special thanks to entertainment team members Vlad and DJ Romeo - top guys who my eldest got on really well with and we all wish you the very best for the future.
My partner and I had a fantastic time at the Hotel. The food, all the staff at food and beverage were very polite and professional.
My biggest gratitude goes to Christiana who helped me find my 2 expensive bags I purchased at Side which was left in one of the yellow taxis, with the help of the security colleagues across the road they were able to locate the driver who returned the bags.
What a team you are!

We spent a fabulous 10 days at Barut Goia and absolutely loved it!
Hotel and rooms: clean, welcoming and comfortable. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed. Minibar was restocked daily with soft drinks, water and beers. We had a balcony overlooking the pool on the ‘louder’ side, with a stunning view.
Food: we ate at the main restaurant every day and it was so good we didn’t even bother going to the al a carte. Great variety and good quality. I especially loved the baklava. There were all the usual options if you have fussy eaters - pizza, chips, burgers, pasta etc, plus lots of different options if you wanted something more adventurous. The salad bar was amazing. Everything was kept restocked well. Tea, coffee and juice were available to help yourself, or you could ask your waiter/waitress. Special thanks to our lovely waitress Anastasia. The pool bar was handy for drinks and snacks through the day. Try the fresh waffles with chocolate sauce 😋
Drinks: wine was lovely. I tried most of the cocktails and although some of them were a bit on the weak side, several of them were absolutely delicious (pornstar martini and margarita were especially good). The mocktails were really good too and a particular hit with our 13yo.
Pools: there are two main pools - one on the quieter side of the hotel (which we didn’t use at all) and one on the louder side. Both lovely and clean. The slides were a big hit with our kids. Music is played from 10-5 every day and there are lots of activities like water polo and aqua aerobics. Don’t miss the foam party on a Friday! Really good fun.
Staff: everyone we met was polite and friendly.
Entertainment: we felt this was where Goia really shines. The animation team were absolutely brilliant - fun, encouraging but never pushy. They have lots going on during the day that you can join in if you want (such as darts, Zumba and archery), and at night there is a kids mini disco at 8.15 (huge hit with our 9yo) then a different show each night at 9.15. We saw all sorts from African dance to a circus show to a magician - all great quality. ‘Mr Showtime’ who leads the team is fantastic and full of energy! After the show there is live music outside at the pool bar. This goes on until 11.30 and we could hear it in our rooms. It didn’t bother us at all but if you’re an early/light sleeper maybe ask for a room on the quieter side.
Kids club: huge shout out to Yami, Yasemin and Begi from the kids club who were amazing and genuinely made the holiday for our 9yo. They not only ran the club during the day, they would run the disco in the evening and then sit with the kids at the front and get them involved while the show was going on. Absolute gems!
We had an amazing time at Barut Goia and would highly recommend it!
Stayed here at Barut Goia for 7 nights in October. We had a brilliant holiday. Hotel is spotless and constantly cleaning. Rooms are beautiful and modern. Staff really friendly. Checkin was quick and reception staff really professional also Christina from guest relations really professional and helpful. Food and all drinks really good quality. We will be back next year. Would also like to mention Ramazan who was so attentive and always wanting to please guests. He made the holiday special for us however all staff were pleasant and attentive throughout the week
