Arum Barut Collection

We have almost completed a fantastic 14-night stay at the Arum Barut Collection hotel, and from beginning to end, the whole experience has been exceptional! Every aspect of the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we honestly could not fault it.

The staff were absolutely outstanding — friendly, professional, welcoming and always willing to go the extra mile. The ladies working on guest relations were incredible - nothing was too much trouble. The staffs attention to detail and genuine care made us feel valued throughout our entire stay.

Our room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and impeccably clean, with the housekeeping staff maintaining an excellent standard every single day. The entire hotel, including the public areas, pools and grounds, was exceptionally well maintained.

The food was superb, with an excellent choice and consistently high standards. However, the à la carte restaurants deserve a very special mention. The quality of the food, presentation, service and overall dining experience was genuinely 5-star. Each meal felt special, with beautifully prepared dishes, excellent service and wonderful attention to detail. The à la carte experience was one of the highlights of our stay. Special thanks to Hasan Öz who ran the Akasya International restaurant, who made our wedding anniversary unforgettable..and the beef medallions were delicious!

The drinks and bar service were equally impressive, with friendly staff and excellent service throughout. All branded drinks were available. Huge thanks to Umut, Ali Kemal, Serkan and the bar team, who all worked so hard in the heat of the day, and would make any drink / cocktail on request.

The atmosphere across the hotel was relaxed, welcoming and enjoyable.

The pools, facilities and grounds were fantastic and always kept to an exceptionally high standard. There was plenty of space to relax, and everything was clean, comfortable and beautifully presented.

The entertainment and activities were also excellent, with a great variety throughout our stay. The entertainment team worked incredibly hard and helped create a lively but welcoming atmosphere. Shout out to Tuğce, Tolga and Stefa who were amazing with our 2 sons and played so many games with them...and my husband!

Overall, this was a truly 5-star experience. The combination of exceptional staff, beautiful surroundings, outstanding food, superb à la carte restaurants, excellent facilities and first-class service made this a holiday we will remember for a long time.

This is a lovely hotel with fantastic staff! I couldn't give it 4.8 stars on the app, and it's definitely worth more than a 4, so I've gone with a 5.

First of all, a big shout-out to Umet, Ali, and Furkan at the pool bar. They were friendly, funny, and exceptionally good at their jobs. We never waited more than a few minutes to be served. The drinks offering is also a step above many similar hotels, with bottled beers and premium spirits all included.

Sunbeds could be reserved, but you weren't allowed to leave them unattended until 7:30am. The pool attendant would remove any belongings without hesitation, which was actually great as it stopped people reserving beds the night before and not returning until midday.

The pool area was pleasant and never felt overcrowded. The water was occasionally a little cloudy, but regular checks were carried out by staff throughout our stay. The poolside toilets were also spotless and very well maintained.

The daytime entertainment was varied, with a full programme of activities on offer. The animation team struck the perfect balance, encouraging participation without being overly pushy. There were also special events, including foam parties and inflatable obstacle courses.

The beach was clean and tidy, with plenty of sunbeds available. The large pier was a great feature, whether you wanted to spend the day jumping into the sea or simply relax at the end with a drink from the bar.

Evening entertainment was equally varied, and if the main show wasn't your thing, there was live music at the pool bar. The food was good, well cooked, and nicely presented. My only criticism would be that the menu appeared to run on a one-week rotation, so it could feel a little repetitive. This was less of an issue if you managed to book the included à la carte restaurants early. Having these included was a nice touch, especially as many similar hotels charge extra.

We stayed in a suite (Room 2042) as a family of four, and it was spacious, modern, comfortable, and cleaned daily by a lovely housekeeper. The room included tea and coffee-making facilities, along with a minibar that was replenished every day. A few extra cups and glasses would have been useful.

The front-of-house staff were always friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful with any requests.

Finally, a couple of negatives, although neither would put us off returning to this lovely hotel. Personally, I dislike single-use plastic cups and don't think any hotel advertising itself as five-star should still be using them, both from a sustainability and overall quality perspective. We also experienced a few issues with shower water pressure and temperature during our stay. But that’s about it.

Overall, this is a genuinely lovely family hotel. Is it a true five-star experience? Not quite. But it's certainly a solid 4.8-star hotel, and we would happily return. We'd also definitely consider trying one of the other Barut hotels in the future.

This is our 4th visit to this amazing hotel and we still think it’s fantastic. Even though we have not been for 3 years, the staff have welcomed us back like old friends. Every single member of staff is absolutely brilliant, extremely friendly and very professional. The 2 girls serving at the pool bar during the evening are absolutely amazing (Safiye & Teslime) always working so hard making sure that everyone has drinks, after a couple of days we didn’t even need to ask for drinks, they just arrived when our glasses were nearly empty. Brilliant service, thank you. Buffet food is adequate and à la carte restaurants are always lovely with amazing staff. Entertainment team are great, very friendly and engaging (Olga, Angela, Assel, Irina, Sefa, Alisa and Tolga) all brilliant. We didn’t get to know anyone from kids club but are sure they are equally fantastic. The evening entertainment at the amphitheatre was good quality, very often dance acts and although they are very talented the acts can get a little repetitive. Our favourite was the Michael Jackson dance act. The live singers at the pool bar can be a bit hit and miss, but are generally pretty good, although the play list is very similar for each group. Our personal favourite was Finches International who are brilliant, we would have liked to see them more often as we did during our previous visit. The entertainment team are no longer present at the pool bar in the evening, which is fair enough as they work so hard during the day, but sometimes when the evening was a bit flat a member of the entertainment team could have helped bring some energy to the evening. There is also a lovely beach bar and a 24hr lobby bar. The patisserie was nice for an afternoon coffee, there is also a big screen in the patisserie which sometimes shows football matches. There is occasionally an afternoon karaoke session in the pool bar. Reception staff and guest relations are also very friendly. There are some lovely bars and restaurants in the town of Side which is a short taxi ride for 10euros or a lovely 45minute beachside walk. Rooms are modern and cleaned to a high standard with friendly cleaners. I’m a bit of a security freak and would have preferred to see the balcony door locked on every occasion. A couple of times it was left wide open, which besides the security issue it also allowed all the hot humid air into our room. There are no sunbed wars, there are plenty to go around by the pools, on the beach and the pier. Sunbeds cannot be reserved before 7.30am. Although this is a family hotel, we thought it would be a nice idea to have an adults only bar / restaurant area for when we fancied a bit of peace and tranquility of an evening. Although every single member of staff is fantastic special mentions must go out to Ahmet and Hasan in Akasya à la carte. Arif in Petunya à la carte. Mehmet in buffet breakfast and Bonsai lunch. Gazi in lobby bar, buffet and pool bar. Mustafa in pool bar. Bayrem on reception and Irina in guest relations. We would love to return if we can stretch our budget next year as prices look fairly expensive for us.

Antalya airport is a nightmare. We book private transfers and VIP lounge ( which is an absolute rip off ) with security fast track to avoid some of the carnage and stress, but we still found the experience stressful.
