Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The location of this hotel is about 30min walk to the Harbour and the Old Town - or a 10 euro taxi ride each way. Theres not a huge amount to do in walking distance, you have a shuttle bus to the beach (courtesy bus provided by the hotel) which runs every 5-10 mins. Right outside the hotel there are a few shops, restaurants, pharmacy etc so you do have the essentials on your doorstep - be aware all the cashpoints outside the hotel charge for use (quite high!) so change money before you go - you'll find the yellow cabs only take cash!
The rooms are fine - spacious enough for 2 adults. Theres a TV but as with alot of Turkish hotels, the only english speaking channel is the news. Theres a kettle in the room and a fridge, but if you love your english cuppa take your own teabags as breakfast tea is sparse.
The cleaners are overworked (not their fault) and cleaning is basic - often the fridge and tea / coffee weren't topped up and if you'd left anything on the bed it can be just thrown onto a chair.
Noise levels weren't bad - we were at the back of the hotel, so away from the noise of the entertainment and bars.
The atmosphere was "different". We've not had a hotel where the staff were so miserable before!! No interaction in the restaurants even when you tried to make an effort with them. They'd chat amongst themselves but didn't seem to interact with guests - which takes me on to the food. Really not good. We've stayed in may AI hotels and always accept its a hard task to feed so many people and try to keep everyone happy - but this really was a let down. We've never decided to eat out instead before, but we did on this holiday. The breakfast offered stale pastries, watered down juice and stale cereal then the usual array of meats and cheeses but they always looked like they're been out in the warmth for a few hours. We did lunch at the pool snack bar and it was similar - but at least you could always have chips! Waffles and churros later in the day, churros were often well overdone and seemed to have been reheated - not pleasant. Evening meal was very hit and miss depending on the theme - best tip is to eat from the grill as its fresh all the time - but very limited in options. The "house wine" is disgusting - and I'm no wine snob! It was like vinegar. Puddings were often also stale and looked like they were put out night after night until they were gone!
Drinks. Pay for the juice bar drinks - they were amazing as are the couple who run it. Otherwise put up with awful cocktails that are VERY hit and miss from staff who never smile and just chuck it in the glass. Evening drinks are no better and sometimes you got way too much alcohol other time barely any. It worked out a bit better when we just ordered normal mixers (G&T, rum and coke etc) but I love my holiday cocktails so was disappointed.
Theres the usual praying for a sunbed with some being left all day with towels on and nobody there, but we did manage to get some each time we went to the pool. The 16+ pool I found miserable - tucked away with alot of road noise and very small pool. But it does have bali beds.
Overall we found the hotel "ok" and the facilities are all there - but just not of the same standard we've had at other Turkish hotels and the staff were just predominantly miserable, apart from one lad who clearly took pride in his work and cleaned the table when you sat down and was all over clearing away glasses and bringing us drinks all night with a smile - he was excellent! Felt bad I never got his name for a shout out, but I did find him and give him a good tip.
We wouldn't stay here again, or recommend it to others as theres much better out there.
Bibi is amazing, i love this hotel and stuff
Bibi and yhlas is my Brother and Sister and they are the Best animator in this world. For sure I'll be back next year again to hotel arnor deluxe and i hope i met bibi and yhlas one more Time and i hope we spent so many time
The hotel has approximately 300 rooms over 3 floors. Room was clean with a strange layout. The sink is in the bedroom while there are separate rooms for the toilet and another for the shower. The shower power was fantastic.
External hotel. grounds and pool - too small and tight for the number of guests.
Location - poor with no public transport available. few local amenities. To visit Side town/village cost between 10 and 15 euro each way To visit Manavgat large town/city for market cost between 18 and 25 euro each way by taxi.
The hotel provided a bus service to their allocated beach about 1 mile from the hotel. The facilities at the beach was very good . food cooked to order and fresh. the staff on the beach were lovely.
Food at the hotel - terrible. during our 10 day holiday we found nothing pleasant to eat and all foods were cold. on advising guest relations the food warmers were turned up but food remained cold. The range and quality of of foods was poor. chips and burgers were available at breakfast dinner and tea. customer service advised the chef said English only want burgers. in the 10 days any guests we spoke to complained about the food.
staff- there were some lovely staff.
Entertainment - was very poor customers were very disappointed especially as the hotel is quite far out from other bars and restaurants. Entertainment staff need training. There is no effort to help customers mix. Even soft music in the internal bar areas would encourage visitors to to mix.
I would not return to this hotel or area in Turkey
Unfortunately, I don't recommend this hotel. It was definitely too crowded; finding a spot by the pool was next to impossible. The slides were very dangerous; my son went down twice and scraped his entire back. There were very long lines for the buffet in the restaurant, and the staff argued and shouted at guests. Ice cream was only available between 3:30 and 4:30 PM. Many of the staff didn't speak English, which I consider a major drawback in a 5-star hotel. The worst thing, however, was the spa, with a very rude manager and pushy staff. Positives: the shuttle bus to the beach, a large selection of dishes in the restaurant, and the cleaning staff.
