We’ve been here many times and keep thinking about trying somewhere different for a change, but why would you when everything here is so,so good the food,drinks ,staff, surroundings, Weather,each year it just gets better and better. We were here for two weeks in May and have already booked for March /April to celebrate a special birthday with our whole family, really can’t wait.
Returned after an amazing stay last year
We returned to AKRA Sorgun this year after having such an amazing stay last year, and once again, the hotel did not disappoint.
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and looked after. The hotel is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the service from the staff really is what makes this place special.
A huge thank you to Efe and Ibrahim, who were fantastic throughout our stay. And, of course, the one and only Atilla — always a pleasure to see you and once again you made our holiday even more enjoyable.
A special mention also has to go to the wonderful Bahar in the dinner restaurant. Her service, friendliness and attention to detail were exceptional, and she always greeted us with a smile. People like Bahar really do make you feel at home.
If I had one criticism this year, it would be the entertainment in the main lobby bar. Compared with last year, the atmosphere felt quite flat. This is absolutely no reflection on the musicians themselves — they were talented and did a great job — but the overall entertainment just didn’t have the same upbeat, lively vibe that we experienced last year. Hopefully this is something the hotel might look at for next season, as the lobby bar was one of the highlights of our previous stay.
That aside, we had another fantastic holiday at AKRA Sorgun. It’s always a gamble returning to a hotel after having such a brilliant experience the first time, but AKRA Sorgun once again delivered.

This was our 2nd holiday at Akra Sorgun and it was amazing 🤩. Our room was spotless with the most wonderful view of the pool and the sea. The food was delicious and beautifully presented every night, the choice of a la carte restaurants was excellent. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. Akra Sorgun is a very well run 5* Hotel. There were a lot of people there that return year after year. Faultless! Thank you for a truly wonderful holiday.
We returned for our 10th trip to this amazing hotel. From the moment we walked through the doors to the moment that we left, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. It was so lovely to see so many familiar faces from previous years. We celebrated our daughters 30th birthday at the Italian and they didn’t disappoint. The chef Honer and all the staff cooked us an amazing meal and Emin made sure that we had everything that we needed to make her birthday a special one. We had one of her friends fly out as a surprise and would like to thank Taner for helping us with this .
We spent most of our days around the adult pool and was looked after by legend Gabriel, such an asset to the hotel always smiling and bringing us drinks in the heat of the day . Our room was cleaned by the lovely lady Emine each day and always greeted us with a smile and hello.
Food and drink are amazing at this hotel, so much choice and the staff are always there to help with any requests we had, especially Rose and Hussein in the buffet. The Hotel is spotless and the gardens are immaculate. We did miss the entertainment by Victor in the lobby bar later into the evening, but did enjoy the outside bar entertainment even though we could do with more fans as it gets so hot and humid in the evenings. We have known Ahmet (Cavo) in the outside bar for many years, he keeps the bar working so well and he always greeted us with a smile and remembers our drinks order, with great support from Enis and Hakan in the lobby bar.
We recommend the bag shop in the Hotel, over the years we have bought many bags, and they are such good quality. We also visited the Spa, it is run by different people this year and I have to say all the treatments that we had were very good, especially the Turkish bath.
Every year that we return we wonder if it will be as good as last year and I can honestly say that it just gets better. The staff really do make this hotel very special.
