Really nice and polite staff 👍, I loved the food 😋 , there was very good entertainment,  right next to the beach, lovely hotel, very clean 😀, lovely cats (very cute 😍.) Though I do think that the cups and straws should be paper instead of plastic . 😊 

Definitely going again next year !!!

A Lovely family holiday ❤️

After reading some of the reviews on here we were really expecting the worst but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would agree that it isn’t a 5*, more so a 3/4*. But for the price we were really pleased.

We had 2 rooms in the main building, both were spacious and clean. The maid visited everyday, and replaced towels. 

We found the food to be really good, bbq meat / fish on the roof, salad bar was fantastic. Snack bar was good for a quick lunch by the beach / pool. One negative was the fact that ice creams were only available for 1 hour a day. 

Drinks were ok - again for the price, we didn’t expect anything too much. Schweppes tonic with the gin was a welcome surprise. The flimsy plastic cups were the biggest negative here, but you could drink out of a glass in the lobby / terrace.

Staff were always friendly, particularly the guys in the pool bar / staff in the restaurant. Remembering drinks orders / making special mocktails for our child.

Pool was great, huge - a bit cold, but again, October it was expected. Slides were brilliant fun for all the family. 

Beach was lovely and the sea was clear and still, also warmer than the pool. I would recommend beach shoes as it is pebbled to get in. Small amount of litter caused by the hotels - which we made an effort to pick up a few times, if everyone did the same there would be no litter! 

Meridia will definitely be an option for next years autumn holiday.

Pleasantly surprised

We have just got back today, from a week's stay at the Meridia with our two boys (12 and 15) The pool was a huge highlight for us all and such a wonderful atmosphere around the pool. I can still hear the beat of the music, and the earworm song 'Clap Snap' will remain a firm favourite pool side activity. Great amenities on site, although we must admit with us enjoying the pool so much that we didn't experience the Sauna. The  reception staff were helpful, and the restaurant staff was always efficient with lots of choice of food, for all diets. My boys loved the array of dessert available, and my husband and I were very happy with the choice of all-inclusive drinks. Yes, they were local brands, but there were lots of choice, from cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer. At the lobby bar, they also did their own version of Baileys, which was very nice, especially with the iced coffee they serve there. 

One issue we did find was that on arrival, we found our room was only made up for three beds. When we enquired, they said the sofa was the fourth bed. My son tried sleeping on this the first night, and it was ridiculous. At nearly 6 feet tall, he was hanging half off of it. However, the following day, we mentioned this to the reception, and they brought up a fold up bed for him to sleep on for the remainder of the stay. 

One shout out has to go to one of the restaurant staff (apologies I never got his name) However he was an older gentleman) who after our first visit, always remembered us and would bring our drinks order over to us that he remembered. Wonderful service from him, he made our dinner times great. 

All in all, it was a great week, great fun and beach just on the doorstep, quite literally the private beach. We only visited the beach once as my boys were not keen on the pebble beach, but I loved having a swim and it being so close to the hotel. There are two markets/outlets easily within walking distance, too. Evening entertainment was good, the entertainers were great, and the pool and slides sealed the deal for us. 

Memorable and fun

Animators were very bad , very rude to people and also walking around drunk etc. I'm not suggesting this company to people , they're randomly charged money from us and told bad things about our families.  I feel very bad after visiting this place with those people .

I am a really positive person and so not fussy so I chose to go with the majority ignore the bad reviews and book .
The staff on arrival were rude, no welcome with a smile here. I asked was there any food as it was 2am and had been travelling with the family but nothing was available. Found out later that food that consists of left over bread and soup is available 11 to 2 if you want someting late at night to eat. I have never been offered a soup kitchen on a so called 5 * holiday.

I had to change rooms as te room I was given was full of mould, no bedside table, lamps etc and just 2 small wardrobes with 4 coat hangers for a family of 4. The beds are rock hard and you get a thin blanket , no duvet so in winter sun was cold at night. The manager changed us to a slighty better room that was at least painted and had more space. Asked for extra blankets and you literally get a dog blanket.

The food was not great. Aimed I think more towards the Russian taste. Im not a fussy eater but lived on bread, salad and grilled meat . Eveyone I knew had some sort of tummy issue and although I cant prove it am sure it was the snack bar food that was not covered and left open in the 30 degree heat. Ice cream available only for 2 hours and then at the end of the holiday was told no more as its the end of the season as was the slush machine. I said we are paying guests and is nt the end of the season for us. 

The staff in general were miserable and I put it down to the fact that they are treated badly from the Russian guests who were honestly so miserabe, bad mannered and rude. 

The pool area is nice with lots of sunloungers. The beach is ok although fullof litter from the hotels. The drinks are ok and on offer till 2pm. Some of the entertainment is also ok. Luckily we made some lovely friends from the Uk and Germany so did all have a laugh and made the most of out time together. The kids played and we got to sit in the 30 degree sun , so not all bad.

Just be warned this is more like a 3 star hotel and listen to the negative reviews. If you go with low expectations you cant be dissapointed.
