Wind of Lara Hotel and Spa

Oh my goodness what an amazing holiday and hotel! A huge thank you to all the staff at Wind of Lara for working so hard! Everything was absolutely pristine and staff were so friendly and knowledgeable!

A huge shoutout to Azad on the pool bar, Ahmet on the terrace bar and Sahin who cooked me a beautiful pasta every night! These guys really made our holiday extra special but a special thanks to everyone that served or spoke to us!

The drinks were brilliant and served quickly, the food was great with lots of variety. I’m vegan so there wasn’t much for me but the restaurant manager was so helpful and made sure I ate something every night. Sahin quickly learnt what I could and couldn’t eat and would make me a lovely big bowl of delicious pasta whilst having a chat with me on Google translate!

The pool was great - sometimes a little tricky to get sunbeds but people moved around a lot so it wasn’t awful. We were out at 9am each morning and got sunbeds easily. The ones on the left-hand side of the pool had sun until the very end of the day if that’s your thing! Loved playing darts each day as well and Dart Man was fab!

The shop was great and again the shop owner lovely and helpful. Reasonable prices as well. Reception was brilliant and again everyone working behind the desk was super smiley.

The evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss but once you got a few drinks down you it was a laugh! We loved the terrace bar and the stunning cocktails Ahmet made for us. It was great (and dangerous!) that the lobby bar was open until 2am as we definitely made use of that!

The pool bar and snacks were excellent - Azad was so kind and kept some oat milk I brought with me in the bar fridge so I could have my iced coffees each day which I really appreciated it. He honestly brightened my day up every time I saw his lovely smile!

We had multiple sessions in the spa which was amazing value! Our lovely masseuses were incredible and so sweet! 3 x hour long massages, 3 x face masks with tea and a Haram for £130!

The room was beautiful and clean with a lovely big shower. We had a double bed and a slightly bigger single bed and the fridge was topped up each day with beer, juice and water.

All in all we had the most incredible time and I can’t wait to come back! Thank you for the most amazing holiday! Lots of love, Kitty & Chloe! Xx

Unfortunately, our experience at the Wind of Lara Hotel & Spa did not meet our expectations of a 4-star hotel.

The positives: There was a good variety of food available throughout the day, with plenty of choice. The waiting staff were fantastic — attentive, friendly and hardworking throughout our stay. The bartenders at the hotel, pool bar and beach bar were also excellent and provided great service.

However, there were several major issues:

The cleanliness of our room was disappointing, particularly the bathroom, which was filthy and simply not acceptable for a 4-star hotel. We raised a complaint about the cleanliness, but this was still a significant disappointment.

The check-in process was extremely poor. The member of staff who appeared to be in charge of check-in provided us with virtually no information about the hotel. We were not even given our all-inclusive wristbands until we specifically asked for them. When we asked, his response was simply, “I am busy.” This is not the level of customer service I would expect when arriving at a hotel.

To make matters worse, our room was not ready when we arrived. We were given a family room temporarily and told to return the following morning to be given our allocated room. We went down three separate times, and on each occasion we were told that the room still wasn’t ready. This made the start of our holiday unnecessarily stressful and frustrating.

Another issue was the bedding. What kind of hotel room doesn’t have a proper duvet? The bedding provided was not what we would expect from a 4-star hotel.

Overall, while the food was good and the waiting and bar staff were genuinely fantastic, the cleanliness, check-in experience, room readiness and basic room standards really let the hotel down.

Sadly, based on our experience, this did not feel like the standard I would expect from a 4-star hotel, and I would not rush to return.

Everyone was friendly managers are great but got moved t I know the hotel on the first night. They said they were overbooked came back. The next morning wasn’t very happy almost lost one day, but managers were very kind and helpful and trying to make things right for me but still I’ve started off with a bad vibe. They only had poached egg and porridge for one day after that it was the same breakfast same lunch same evening meal every night not much changes couldn’t speak English difficult to understand them at times nice Lovely clean, but I don’t think I will come here again the guy in the spa Chasin you to book by force once they get your money then they don’t talk to you, book out of hotel it’s cheaper
