Located on Antalya's Lara Beach, some 15km from the city centre and 12km from the airport, this is a modern, large and spacious hotel built as the name suggests with a nautical theme and cruise concept, consisting of 589 rooms on 9 levels with an annexe family room building. The large, marble floored lobby with glass-sided lifts and potted palms offers an impressive welcome. There are four pools, a spa and fitness centre, lots of sports on offer, a kids club and a water park with slides and a playground with a fun galleon to play in.
Not really one for reviews but felt I’d share thoughts having stayed here and next door at Lara Barut Resort in previous years.
Personally for me, this is not 5 start and 4 at best. The resort is becoming dated in most areas. Whilst clean most of the time, the sheer volume of people makes this incredibly hard to maintain.
The beach cabanas are great, we had these 2 days and offer what should feel like to stay in a 5 star hotel, however this is a paid privilege. Sun beds are not an issue.
The à la carte offering is good, however a rip off if you have a young family as it’s the same food as the buffet (for kids) so you are literally paying again for what should be 5 star. The service is very good.
The drinks offering is ok and not very varied unless you sit in the lobby bar.
When compared the Lara Barut next door, where the a La carte is inclusive and 5 star - this really does reiterate the old motto, you get what you pay for. Yes there was a price difference between the hotels and on reflection, the additional cost would have been worth it.
Very good Staff very good hotel entertainment really amazing
Hotel was very nice. Food delicious beach clean. I liked hotel. Especially entertaiment team was amazing. Show live music and team perfect
Great staff great location great entertainment
The hotel is very impressive and clean throughout. Pools are very good and my kids loved the huge kids club.
As a British family we really struggled with the food - buffet was the same every day, we were fed up by day two, no themed nights, like they are trying to force you to fee paying restaurants. The food is definitely not a 5 star more a 3
Kids loved it with the pools and kids club but we couldn’t wait to get on the plane
