- Swandor Topkapi Palace Hotel

Located in Lara Beach, Swandor Topkapi Palace is a perfect starting point from which to explore Antalya. Offering a variety of facilities and services, the property provides all you need for a good night's sleep. Service-minded staff will welcome and guide you at Swandor Topkapi Palace. Designed for comfort, selected guestrooms offer closet, towels, carpeting, clothes rack, slippers to ensure a restful night. The property offers various recreational opportunities. Friendly staff, great facilities, and close proximity to all that Antalya has to offer are three great reasons you should stay at Swandor Topkapi Palace.
Excellent hotel overall but like everywhere there are pro's and con's. Many of the reviews which I read are subjective and in my opinion this hotel is 5* and a safe option for any family holiday.
Pro's: Excellent and modern hotel, modern and clean rooms, amazing and excellent quality food and variety which really is first class. The hotel layout is well designed with multiple pools and no shortage of sun-beds (note some Con's), close to the beach with a great pier with additional sub-beds, bar and sea swimming options, excellent kids clubs, many bars and options for drinks, mainly quality alcohol (note some Con's). Most staff are friendly and approachable (note some Con's). There is a quality massage spa onsite where you can have a massage and Turkish Hammam which are amazing. Various good options for evening entertainment. Onsite water slides which are good enough for most children and young people although a limited number of water slide floaters mean that they are in demand.
Con's: The hotel is excellent however is disconnected from any shops and is not in any walking distance of a town or community, so if you are staying in the hotel only this is fine. Alternatively there are many taxis and a bus stop directly outside the hotel. Direct transfer from the airport to the hotel will save you time because this hotel is almost at the end of Lara Beach and there are many hotels between this hotel and the airport. The beer is watered down. The onsite shop is minimum 3 - 5 times the price of anything in the UK. The sun-beds which are directly facing the pool are claimed at 6am with no control of towel placement. This hotel attracts classes of people from all over the world. Unfortunately we experienced thieves who we believe were children from other families who (knowingly to their parents) stole 2 x children's floaters and a volleyball. One floater was never recovered. These thieves knew what they were doing and had no conscious so my advice is do not leave any belongings by the pool. Some of the staff particularly those on the exit of the restaurant close to the shop did not seem happy, did not make any eye contact and did not smile which was slightly awkward. Some staff in the reception area did not seem to understand English very well however granted it is not their first language. Some staff would benefit from customer service training given the hotel rating and the level it wishes to operate, all staff need to operate at this level. The football field is not lit at night even though many kids and teenagers want to play football. The pool tables in the Irish bar are hogged by children who play game after game after game. In reality these are minor Con's however for some people these issues could influence their mood.
Overall the hotel is excellent and we would return. Thank you Topkapi/Swandor.
We recently stayed at Swandor Hotels & Resorts Topkapı Palace as a family of four, and we had an incredible experience overall!
The Vibe & Grounds: The Ottoman-inspired architecture is impressive, and the resort grounds are spacious, well-maintained, and easy to navigate.
For Families: The hotel is fantastic for kids and parents alike. Between the multi-pool complex, the waterpark slides, and the beach right on site, there was always something to keep everyone entertained.
Food & Drinks: The food selection was great with plenty of variety throughout the day. Even with four different tastes in the family, everyone found plenty of delicious options at every meal.
Friendly staff, endless activities, and great energy. We’d definitely recommend Swandor to any family looking for a memorable holiday in Antalya!
Special thanks to Brke for his support
We arrived from France at Swandor Topkapi Palace two days ago.
Overall, most of the staff have been kind and welcoming. The rooms are clean, and the food appears fresh and hygienic. However, compared with other hotels we have stayed at in the Antalya area, the food selection is less varied.
The children’s buffet was particularly disappointing. It only offered around four choices, mostly boiled potatoes and a few puréed dishes prepared by the restaurant. In other resorts, there are usually more options, including sealed baby food, fruit compotes, milk, and juices from well-known brands. As parents, we appreciate being able to check the ingredients and expiration dates ourselves, especially for an 11-month-old baby.
Another issue was the elevators. They are very old, extremely slow, and sometimes seem to get stuck or take an unusually long time to arrive. We are staying on the third floor with an 11-month-old baby, so we always have a stroller with us, and using the stairs is not a practical option. On several occasions, we had to wait 15 minutes or even longer just to get an elevator, which became very frustrating.
Unfortunately, our biggest disappointment was the medical service.
Our 11-month-old son was playing with his 10-year-old brother when he fell off the bed. I immediately checked him for signs of a concussion, following the recommendations we use in France: I checked his pupils, looked for any fluid coming from his ears or nose, and made sure he had not lost consciousness or shown any other concerning symptoms. Even though he seemed fine, I decided to take him to the hotel’s medical office for reassurance.
The experience was honestly shocking. When we arrived, the doctor wasn’t even there. The nurse did not call him until after I agreed to pay $120 for the consultation. My son’s health comes first, so I agreed without hesitation.
About 15 minutes later, the doctor arrived from outside, sweating, and without even washing or sanitizing his hands before examining my baby. He briefly looked at his eyes and said everything seemed normal. I was the one who had to ask him to examine my son’s head, ears, and back more carefully.
Despite telling us that everything appeared normal, he immediately recommended an X-ray. When I asked why it was necessary if his examination was normal, he could not give a convincing explanation. I know that after a minor head injury, the recommended approach is careful observation over the following 48 hours unless there are warning signs. It honestly felt as though the X-ray was being suggested simply to generate additional charges rather than because it was medically necessary.
When I declined the X-ray, instead of simply respecting my decision, I was asked to sign a document stating that the doctor would not be held responsible. While I understand the need for medical consent forms, combined with everything that had happened before, it left us with the impression that the priority was protecting the clinic and generating additional income rather than providing reassuring and professional medical care.
This experience did not inspire confidence at all. The medical service felt unprofessional and more focused on making money than on providing proper patient care. I sincerely hope the hotel reviews the quality and professionalism of the medical service it offers, because families deserve much better when it comes to their children’s health.
This was a family holiday 2 adults and 2 teenage boys aged 17. July 2026 Rooms : we had duplex two bedrooms upstairs and downstairs . This was the best accommodation to separate teenagers in own space . Down side is only one balcony for the main bedroom but didn’t bother us. View from our room was not great but not hotel fault it’s listed as garden view and it was that hot we didn’t sit on balcony so no issues for us Food : no issues with choice and amount available . We enjoyed it but it’s busy ( it’s a big hotel so expect people ! ) We were not poorly the hygiene looked good .. again it’s hot country and you will see flies like you do in England 🤭 Beach and pier : this is great and was a big part of our holiday Entertainment : lots of choice if that’s your thing you will enjoy the variety day and night something for everyone Height of season it’s so hot sitting outside - not much entertainment inside air conditioning but we can’t complain about the sun ☀️ This is a large hotel so be aware of this It’s a fab set up There are glasses for your drinks around pool areas which was hazardous . We did see the hotel staff telling families to not put drinks around the pool side on floor . Again it’s lovely to drink from glasses but children carrying these is risky ! The bar staff and entertainment team work really hard and will look after you . Thankyou to all the ladies and gents making lovely cocktails and drinks for us 👌 The cleaners kept our room lovely and filled up the fridges . This hotel was the first I noticed a lot of rude guests .. maybe because of the size it was more noticeable We had a good holiday though and you wouldn’t be disappointed if you booked and there is a lot to like about this hotel Antalya was great.. it’s full of swanky hotels so if you like that and Fake designer clothing you will enjoy . There is nothing round the hotel but the bus is easy and cheap to use The onsite shop is daylight robbery so please be prepared with what you need to take !
We had an amazing time at topkapi palace hotel it’s our third year here. We are especially leaving this review for the lovely workers at Safir restaurant. Mr Yasin, Miss Jasmine and Mr Yunus provided impeccable service as well as the most friendly atmosphere and conversation. We have enjoyed it every year we have come here and they made this year especially special for us. The hotel is a beachfront hotel easily accessible all sun beds are included, towels too. Very hospitable hotel amazing staff and service. They also have a nurse on-site and a doctor on call.
