This amazing hotel is located in Antalya, Turkey. The Antalya Airport is conveniently located just about 15 minutes away from the complex. For the ones who are looking for a place where to have fun, comfort, relaxation and where to eat delicious food, this property is simply the best option. Guests won’t have enough time to experience everything the property has to offer. The outdoor swimming pools and the surroundings are perfect to have fun in the water slides and enjoy the sun sunbathing in a sunlounger while sipping from a cocktail. The wide variety of food options is ideal for all types of visitors. The spa will spoil travellers and make them feel relaxed and calm. There are venues to host business meetings and conferences with the necessary facilities to make each event a success. The rooms are elegantly decorated and well-equipped with all the essential amenities and comfortable beds to make guests have the best and most memorable experience.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials. After a day at the private beach, you can enjoy other recreational amenities including a nightclub and an indoor pool. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and babysitting (surcharge).
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the food is wonderful as well. The waiters are all very kind and friendly, especially Guney, who works as a waiter on the terrace. He is extremely friendly, kind, and professional. We have never had such a kind and professional waiter in our lives. He truly made our experience even more special.

We had a fantastic holiday. Couldn’t fault a thing. Food was excellent, never a problem getting a sunbed and the staff were excellent.

We had a very pleasant stay at Royal Holiday Palace Lara and were very satisfied with our holiday. It is a huge, well-organized hotel and is especially suitable for families.
The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, and housekeeping is done every day. The minibar is also refilled daily, which is a nice touch. The outdoor areas are beautiful, with large and clean pools, plenty of sunbeds and many places to sit, eat and enjoy a drink. We could easily find sunbeds around 9:30 in the morning, both by the pool and on the beach.
The food was very good, tasty and varied, and we really enjoyed the quality of the drinks and snacks available throughout the day. The ultra all-inclusive package really delivers and offers excellent value.
The staff are one of the hotel's biggest strengths. The restaurant and bar staff were attentive, friendly, efficient and always smiling. The service was truly 5-star.
The pools and water slides are excellent, and there are plenty of facilities to enjoy a relaxing and entertaining holiday. If you are mainly looking for nightlife and late-night entertainment, the hotel may feel a little quieter, but for a family holiday it is an excellent choice.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay at Royal Holiday Palace Lara. Clean and spacious rooms, delicious food, great pools, beautiful outdoor areas and wonderful staff. We would definitely recommend this hotel!
Great service, nice facilities Food was okay
Completely mis-sold – nowhere near a five-star family hotel
We stayed at Royal Holiday Palace for 16 nights from 21 August to 6 September as a family of four and paid over £6,600. In our experience, the descriptions being used by travel companies do not accurately reflect the reality of this hotel. We feel our holiday was completely mis-sold.
We are independent travel agents and emailed the hotel before our arrival, explaining that we would be reviewing the property and taking photographs and videos during our stay. The hotel therefore knew in advance that we would be assessing the facilities and sharing our honest experience.
We have travelled to Turkey regularly for approximately 25 years and have stayed at numerous resorts, so we understand the standard normally associated with a Turkish five-star hotel.
Royal Holiday Palace is advertised as a five-star, all-inclusive, family-friendly resort with numerous à la carte restaurants, extensive children’s facilities and a varied entertainment programme. What we actually experienced was completely different.
None of the advertised à la carte restaurants opened during our entire 16-night stay. We were happy to pay the additional charges but were told that a restaurant required at least 10 paid bookings before it would open. Even then, the hotel could apparently combine the bookings and decide which restaurant guests received.
This was during late August—one of the main peak periods of the summer season. If none of these restaurants could open during a 16-night stay in peak season, it raises a serious question about when guests can realistically expect them to be available at all. These important conditions were not made clear when we booked.
This left the buffet as the only genuine inclusive evening dining option. The food was extremely repetitive, the queues were substantial and food already on our plates was frequently cold by the time we had collected everything. Despite paying for all-inclusive, we spent a considerable amount on outside meals and taxis.
The children’s provision was equally disappointing. The kids’ club is advertised for children aged four to 12 but appeared designed mainly for babies and nursery-aged children, including tiny furniture that was unsuitable for older children.
The only conventional play area containing slides was exposed to direct sunlight without adequate shade. The equipment became too hot to use during the day. When it finally cooled down in the evening, the kids’ club—and therefore the play area—was closed.
Our nine-year-old son was prevented from joining numerous advertised activities because staff said they were restricted to guests aged 15 and over. This included pool games, swimming races, a pool balance activity, bocce and even karaoke. Unlike the darts restriction, these age limits were not clearly displayed on the programmes or advertisements.
There was no football area, organised football or communal television showing sport. Our son was bored for much of the holiday and described it as the worst holiday he had ever experienced.
Entertainment for children aged approximately seven to 14 was virtually nonexistent. The regular children’s entertainment was a 30-minute mini-disco aimed mainly at very young children. The hotel was extremely quiet during the day, yet loud music from a neighbouring hotel disturbed us when we returned to our room at night.
The evening fairground was also extremely limited, with several rides regularly unavailable. The chargeable arcade became one of the only alternatives for our children, creating even more expense.
The room was acceptable and the pool bar was reasonable during the day, but these were among the very few positives.
Travel companies need to investigate the descriptions they are publishing. Important information about restaurant availability, charges, minimum booking numbers, age restrictions and the true level of children’s provision was either missing or did not reflect what was actually available during our stay.
Had the hotel been accurately described, we would never have booked it or spent more than £6,600 expecting a luxury five-star family holiday.
In our honest professional opinion, this was an average three-star experience at best and a complete mis-sell of what was advertised. Families—particularly those with children aged seven to 14—should research extremely carefully before booking.
We would not return and cannot recommend Royal Holiday Palace.
