Delphin Imperial

We arrived at Delphin and was immediately looked after and it has not stopped we are very happy with the service Irmak has really looked after us on the skate team Kezia and Aubrey were amazing with us today !!!!! Our Hotel is amazing !!!

Beautiful experience Kezia, Violeta, Venera, Aubrey, Ilhan very good person, guest relations really helpful. And the staff services, foods options also incredible. We will comeback and we really appreciate it! Thankyou to make the best our holiday time.

We are currently on the second day of our stay at the Delfin Imperial, so this is still a first impression and we will see how our experience develops over the coming days.

We have been travelling to Turkey for more than 20 years, usually staying in the Belek area and often returning to hotels we particularly enjoyed. Over the years, however, we unfortunately noticed a gradual decline in standards – services that once existed disappeared, and the overall level of quality was no longer quite what we remembered. This year, we therefore decided to try a different area and chose the Delfin Imperial.

Unfortunately, our first impression is that we are experiencing something similar here. The hotel offers an enormous amount, but for us personally, quantity does not always translate into quality.

Food is probably our biggest disappointment so far. We have tried several of the smaller food outlets along the walkway, the pizza and pasta bar, as well as the main restaurant. There is certainly no shortage of choice, but surprisingly few dishes have impressed us in terms of flavour. Much of what we have tried has been rather bland and could benefit from considerably more seasoning and character. We would personally prefer fewer food outlets and restaurants with a stronger focus on genuinely excellent food.

Our room is spacious, modern and nicely renovated. The bathroom, however, feels noticeably older and does not seem to have received the same refurbishment. The washbasin is unusually low, the tiles look dated, and the shower and fittings show signs of wear, discolouration and limescale. For a hotel of this category, we would expect a more consistent standard throughout the room.

One aspect that deserves particular praise is the staff. Everyone we have encountered so far in the restaurants, at the bars and at Guest Relations has been extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The size and overall concept of the resort are ultimately a matter of personal preference. For us, the Delfin Imperial is almost too large. With the countless pools, food stands and different areas, it sometimes feels more like a very elaborate holiday theme park than a refined luxury resort. We personally prefer a slightly calmer atmosphere with fewer, but higher-quality restaurants and facilities.

We feel similarly about the interior design. There are many impressive individual elements, but we miss a clear and cohesive design concept. In one corridor, for example, beautiful oversized photographs of an icon such as Marilyn Monroe are displayed alongside rather unusual contemporary mermaid imagery. There are many different styles throughout the hotel, and a more consistent approach could make the overall atmosphere feel considerably more sophisticated.

The huge chandelier in the lobby, however, is genuinely spectacular and one of the hotel’s most impressive features.

Of course, we are only at the beginning of our stay and are keeping an open mind. We sincerely hope that our impression will become more positive over the next few days. At this stage, however, while we can appreciate the enormous range of facilities and the friendliness of the staff, the Delfin Imperial does not quite offer the level of quality, refinement and attention to detail that we personally associate with a luxury Turkish resort – and that we remember from our holidays in Turkey in previous years.
