Delphin Be Grand Resort

This was our second trip to this hotel having also stayed the year before. We returned because of having such a good experience last year and the fact it has a large number of slides which our 9 and 12 year old love. It was another brilliant experience again this year. Our kids particular enjoyed it due to the activities run by Billy and Sasha such as darts, pool games and football as well as the evening teenage club. They were great with the kids and made the holiday so much more fun for them. We would definitely visit again.

Second visit to this hotel. This time could only afford land view which was fine however I was told all hotel rooms have a sunny balcony throughout the day, something I had requested prior to my visit, however our room 3113 never got sun at any point. Last visit we stayed in a side sea view which did get the sun. Room was big, clean but needed some TLC in parts. It had fully stocked fridge, toiletries, dressing gown, slippers and clean towels all replaced daily. It was an adapted room and the bathroom was constantly full of water after a shower. I would ask next time for a non adapted room.

Food and drink available all day and night and an improvement for me this visit was the addition of freshly made cocktails however the pornstar martini was not consistent in taste and in some bars was undrinkable. Roller skating waiters and staff driving past with drinks and ice creams was great.

Loved the food throughout the day. Lots of choice, pizza, pasta, donner, baked potatoes, fruit, rice, hot dogs the list is endless and really good. Found the main restaurant in the morning and evening too much so tended not to use it. It was far too chaotic and we had to sit outside most nights which was not pleasant as far too warm so we would leave without eating.

Managed to book into the Mexican ala carte which we really enjoyed. However the booking of the ala carte was horrendous and definitely an improvement that is needed. You currently queue before 9am for 4 kiosks behind reception and you can book for same night and next night. I queued once from 8am found others pushing in front of me and jumping the queue which caused some heated arguments between guests. It was very uncomfortable and an experience I decided not to repeat. When I got to the kiosk I was told Mexican was fully booked for the night and wasn't open the next night so it was all for nothing. I went to guest relations to ask was there anything I could do and they said use the app after midnight which I did and I booked in straight away. Wish I had known this sooner.

Water park was amazing and great fun. Pier and beach bar lovely. Staff were all lovely and helpful.

I enjoyed my time at this hotel. I felt very safe, it is very clean and welcoming. My reason for 4 stars was that due to the main restaurant and booking of ala cartes I didn't really get the full use of the facilities I had paid for and the holiday was not cheap.
