Special Thanks to Mehmet Ayhan.
On the whole a good resort although some negative points mostly around dining.
Yes they have 6 restaurants you can eat at, 4 that you have to pay extra for and often closed due to lack of bookings !
The included restaurant is basically luke warm fast food served to you.
The main buffet is an absolute cattle market, you can not get a table it’s a scrum to find one, party of 11 family members unable to eat together due to lack of tables, even splitting up which we did most visits, once you find a table you have to clear it and go find your own cutlery !! Then the full battle to actually getting near the food displays ! Have to say the staff work really hard but unfortunately not enough staff to cover the number of guests and tables.
When speaking to guest services I was told it’s like this because it’s August and high season ! They did ask us to eat at 6:30 each evening as we would probably get a table, who wants to be time restricted on holiday, not us ! They did then offer us the included restaurant for 3 nights ! No thank you not enough on menu, food like warm and again restricted times, staff very pleasant and working to hard.
Bars have long queues. High season yet not enough staff to serve the guests.
Food was okay, lots of choice just not a 4 star dinning experience, we go away as a family to dine together not a chance if you stay here in August.
Jemal was lovely staff member in restaurant and did everything she could in the morning and lunch,
Mehmet who keeps pool area clean is great he works so hard covering a large area but always friendly and helpful.
Water park most areas good but toddler splash area needs sorting out, old and tired. Food at water park was basic but readily available and okay. Again queuing nightmare.
Beach is a trek from hotel and not good for small children or weak swimmers. Shingle entrance so lots of movement and deep very quickly, I enjoyed swim in the sea but unfortunately grandchildren not able to safely nor elderly mum.
I have to say the staff at the hotel work so hard but they can only do so much. Management you need to get more staff. Hotel group stop being so greedy, make it an all inclusive experience, open up the other restaurants to your guests who have already paid a good price to stay at your resort and this would then ease the pressure on staff and give guests the experience they deserve.
Jet 2 rep said same thing. Well it’s August so it’s full to capacity and what you have to expect! Will I return NO sadly not
Long but honest!!! We had a good family holiday with lots of positives but a few negatives unfortunately. It's not a 5 star that it's advertised as. The Al a carte isn't a choice of restaurants included in your stay they are chargeable which we wasn’t aware. We also were unable to get booked into the Al a carte that was included which was a shame. The water park is great fun and where all the entertainment and activities are hosted. The hotel was kind enough to swap our room from an economy room which has no balcony to a standard room facing the pool with a balcony free of charge. Only thing I would say about the room which was a little disappointing was that there wasn’t a single bed for my son it was a fold up camping style bed which I didn’t expect from a hotel of this type. We did have to get up early to secure sunbeds over at the water park as the first day we arrived and there wasn’t any so had to secure some at the beach but we wanted to visit the water park. The shuttle bus visits regularly to take you to and from but not early in the morning so walked over to put towels over at wet and wild. I found that the entertainment could be better for the older children as my son is 10 and found kids club too young for him. He would have liked pool activities but there was non they only do this for the adults. Thursday is Aperol party this is by far the best entertainment. The main restaurant we found far too busy and hectic yes it’s high season but we found ourselves walking around most evenings between 15-20mins looking for a table to sit at inside restaurant. We found the food much better at lunch times in the bistro lounge pizzas and pasta and wraps & the garden bar jacket potatoes and fish and chips by far the best for food. I want to give a big mention to Berk if that’s how I spell his name from the entertainment he goes above and beyond to chat to you and make you feel welcome always played with my son around the pool as he knew that’s alls he wanted to do. Very lovely man makes that entertainment team!
Fantastic hotel, great food. Entertainment team is brilliant, so many activities for children my son loves it. Kids club amazing team so friendly and fun!!!! My son is 10 and can’t wait to go back just for the entertainment team!!!!
We had a great 10 days at Aska Lara. We were in one room which had a huge double, a single and a single sofa type bed. We were delighted to have a pool facing balcony as this was unexpected. The food was excellent and there was a lot of choice. We split our time between the two pool areas (mostly at the water park). Pools were great and we didn’t struggle to get a sunbed although if you want one right on the edge of the pool, you need to reserve it around 7:30/8am. We liked the location and never waited longer than 2 minutes to get the bus to the waterpark. Overall a fantastic holiday - the staff were excellent, working so hard to entertain, cater, serve the guests at peak time. Nothing was too much trouble.
