L oceanica Beach Hotel

I’ve stayed at this hotel 6th time, and there is a reason I keep coming back.

From my very first stay, I have always felt genuinely welcome here. There is something special about arriving at a hotel and immediately feeling that people are truly happy to have you there. When I return and the staff remember and recognize me, it makes the experience even more personal. The staff are incredibly warm, friendly and attentive. You never feel like just another room number or another tourist who will disappear in a few days.

A special mention goes to the animation team. They bring so much energy and life to the hotel and make it very easy to relax, have fun and meet people. At the same time, there is never any pressure : you can participate as much or as little as you want.

I travelled alone, and this is also something very important for me to mention: I felt completely safe and comfortable throughout my entire stay. As a woman travelling alone, that feeling is priceless. I could simply relax and enjoy my holiday without worrying about anything.

I stayed in Annex building (I always choose to stay here, as it is more silent) it is 1min walking from Main building. Rooms here are fully renovated, nice and clean.

Hotel has three pools (count In both buildings), own beach with plenty of sunbeds, SPA zone and bars.

An experience never to be repeated: I spent 7 days at your hotel and was left disappointed. The organization was non-existent; the beach bar didn't open until 10:00 AM—absurd, considering the crowds of people waiting in the middle of August. Instead of the bar welcoming the guests, the guests were left waiting for it to open. The cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired; the bathroom sink wasn't cleaned a single time during my seven-day stay. I have traveled to many resorts in Turkey, but nowhere else have I seen a system where you have to leave a deposit to get pool towels and only get it back upon returning the cards.

Disappointed. Not what I expected from a 5-star hotel

We recently stayed at L’Oceanica Beach Resort in Çamyuva, Kemer for 6 nights. We paid around UAH 100,000 for two people, so we expected a level of service corresponding to a 5-star hotel. Unfortunately, the reality was quite disappointing.

The room was very small and the renovation looked quite dated. It felt like it had not been renovated for many years. There was also no proper place to dry wet swimsuits or clothes, which is quite surprising for a beach hotel.

We were travelling with my mother and had two rooms. The air conditioning in her room was extremely noisy. We reported the problem several times, but unfortunately nothing was done during our stay.

The safe in our room was not working either. Only after our third request did they finally bring us another one. What was especially strange was that the technician repeatedly asked how important the safe was to us. For a hotel presented as 5-star, this level of service was disappointing.

The food was another major disappointment. There was a lot of food, but the selection felt repetitive and many dishes seemed like mixtures of different ingredients rather than properly prepared meals. Most importantly, we simply did not find the food tasty. Even the salmon was extremely dry and overcooked. We expected much better quality from a 5-star hotel.

Our holiday had already started badly because our flight was delayed for an entire day, which meant we had to spend an additional night in Chisinau at our own expense. Therefore, we especially hoped for good service and a pleasant experience once we arrived at the hotel.

Unfortunately, the situation on our departure day was the most disappointing. Our transfer to the airport was scheduled for 11:00 PM, while check-out was at 12:00 PM. We repeatedly asked whether it would be possible, even for an additional fee, to keep at least one room until the evening, as there were three of us and we had many hours before our transfer.

We completely understand that the hotel may be fully booked and that a late check-out cannot always be guaranteed. However, we expected at least a polite conversation or an attempt to offer an alternative solution.

Instead, the manager barely wanted to speak to us and simply responded rudely: “There are no rooms available.” That was it. There was no attempt to explain the situation or offer any alternative. This attitude left one of the worst impressions of our entire stay.

I was also surprised by the way the hotel is presented as a 5-star, beachfront property. Personally, I find it difficult to see how the advertised 5-star level corresponds to the actual condition of the rooms and the service we experienced.

As for the “first-line” location, the beach is not directly accessible from the hotel in the way I would normally expect from a beachfront resort. You have to cross a road and then walk through the grounds of another hotel to reach the beach.

I understand that everyone has different expectations. However, when you pay around UAH 100,000 for 6 nights for two people and specifically choose a hotel because it is advertised as 5-star, you expect a corresponding level of service, comfortable and well-maintained rooms, good-quality food and, above all, respectful treatment from the staff.

Unfortunately, L’Oceanica Beach Resort did not meet our expectations.
