Rixos Sungate

4th time going to Rixos Sungate and never disappointed. Lovely staff, friendly service, complimentary alacart meal and all round beautiful holiday as always. We can’t wait to book again

Never Again. We have just returned from this hotel, and we will never come back. Our room was outdated and had a persistent moldy, damp smell that made our stay uncomfortable. Finding a sunbed was almost impossible because they were "reserved" all day. We had to argue with the staff for 2–3 hours before they finally managed to find us a place. The staff were generally unfriendly and often unavailable when assistance was needed. Another major disappointment was the bars. Only the Lotus Bar offered the full range of drinks included in the all-inclusive package. The other bars served only limited options, such as coffee only or just beer and wine, which was very misleading. The most serious issue, however, was that some of our belongings disappeared from our room, including a hoodie and a jacket. Despite all our efforts and repeated discussions with the hotel staff, the items were never found—not in Lost & Found, nor anywhere else in the hotel. We left extremely disappointed with the way this situation was handled. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this hotel.
