Amazing hotel with a fantastic animation team! Every day was full of fun activities, games, and great energy. The animators were friendly, professional, and always made guests feel included. The evening shows were entertaining and well organized. Thanks to the animation team, our holiday was unforgettable. Highly recommended!

So, here we are on day three of our ten-day all-inclusive stay, and somehow the circus is still in full swing. After my initial review about being charged an extra €540 for the room, along with the wonderfully warm welcome from the reception staff, we were invited for a chat with the guest relations manager. This mainly involved being quizzed on how often we travel and being gently spoken to as though I might not fully understand what customer service is supposed to look like. Fortunately, I do. We travel three or four times a year to different parts of the world, and this is the first time I have encountered staff who seem quite so indifferent, and at times openly rude. Today, for example, a member of the bar staff was walking around the pool. My husband called him over. He served the person next to us, then completely ignored my husband and carried on walking. Apparently, acknowledging guests is now an optional extra. The restaurant is much the same. Trying to get anyone's attention feels like applying for planning permission. Staff walk past repeatedly while dirty plates pile up on the table, presumably as part of the hotel's unique dining experience. Yet, Food Court staff is good. Our room is supposedly one of the best the hotel offers, which is reassuring, because the air conditioning barely works and the minibar hasn't been restocked since we upgraded. This is despite leaving a $5 tip on the bed every day. To be fair, the bed is made and the towels are changed, so at least the basics have made a guest appearance. What really confirmed that it isn't just us is that we got chatting to guests staying a few doors down. We genuinely thought we'd just been unlucky, but they'd had a very similar experience with the customer service. The rooms we've upgraded to are also supposed to come with a welcome basket containing chocolates and a bottle of champagne. Unsurprisingly, ours never appeared. The couple we spoke to did receive theirs, but the champagne was several years out of date. When they complained, they were apparently told that if they wanted another bottle, they'd have to pay for it. Because nothing says "luxury resort" quite like charging guests to replace expired champagne. At that point, it became pretty clear that poor customer service isn't the exception here, it's the standard. In recent years, I've holidayed in Marmaris, Alanya, Side and Istanbul, and I've never experienced such a consistently poor level of customer care as I have at Dosinia Luxury Resort. At this point, the only thing running smoothly is the disappointment.
