The hotel is located in the city centre, 1.5 km to Cleopatra beach, 130 km from Antalya airport, 50 km away from the Gazipasa airport . It offers the airport transfer service to their guests, who would like to have that.
The hotel provides free shuttle service to Cleopatra beach every day .
High technology metro internet access service is available in the hotels. Internet access in the lobby, restaurant and around the pools is free of charge. Guests can receive this service by paying 40 TL per week in the rooms.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel is in a good location and has great facilities on site. Most of the staff are friendly enough. We had an issue with our room as the sink was broken, this was quickly resolved.
There is only entertainment 3 days a week which is disappointing for a 4 star hotel in their busy season.
The food was very repetitive and wasnt great, quite a few people we spoke too werent impressed either. We ate out quite a few nights for this reason.
There are an awful lot of cats running about the hotel and pool area where people eat which is very unhygienic.
I would strongly encourage guests to shop around before purchasing excursions from the hotel rep. We were charged €95 each for paragliding which is only €65 if you pay directly at the beach.
Overall it was a pleasant enough experience.
Lovely girly holiday. Great staff, especially reception staff are very helpful. Special thanks to Hussain.
Very good food, nice walks around the town, but wifi only paid (all or none) and a long bus ride from the airport.
Our experience at Villa Sunflower Hotel was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived on 9 August. We were two adults and two children, and unfortunately, what followed was seven nights of poor service, rude staff and an experience that felt nothing like a 4-star hotel.
We arrived at around 1:00am and were immediately met with a very negative attitude from the staff checking us in. We had booked two rooms and simply asked if they could be on the same floor, even if they weren't next to each other. We were told bluntly that the rooms would be on different floors and that this was the only option. There was absolutely no attempt to accommodate a very reasonable request.
The attitude of the staff throughout our stay was one of the biggest problems. Almost every request was met with a "NO". At 1am, we asked for coffee and were told that we would have to order it from outside. There were no basic tea or coffee facilities, milk or sachets in the rooms. My husband even had to refer to the hotel's own policy when requesting water, just to get water provided at 1am.
There is also no food available after 10pm, which is extremely inconvenient, especially when travelling with children.
The hotel claims to be 4-star, but in our opinion it is nowhere near that standard. We have travelled extensively and would personally rate this as a 2-star hotel at best.
The entertainment was practically non-existent. It finishes at around 8:30pm and is only available on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was poor, and there was very little sense of hospitality or warmth. The television is only in the local language and apart from BBC nothing else is in English!
Access to parts of the hotel was also inconvenient. We had to cross the road or use a tunnel that had a very unpleasant fishy smell. The sunbeds were packed so closely together that it was difficult to walk between them comfortably.
The staff's communication was another issue. Many staff members had very limited English, which made simple requests unnecessarily difficult. For a hotel claiming to be 4-star and operating in the hospitality industry, this was very disappointing.
The food was average and repetitive. We were served the same chips and grilled fish regularly, and there was very little variety. Even the ice cream was only available for one hour, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.
We didn't even make use of lunch because the constant noise around the hotel affected our ability to rest properly overnight.
What made matters worse was our experience when we asked to speak to the manager. We were told that the manager would be back the following morning, which left us feeling that we were simply being dismissed rather than having our concerns taken seriously.
Sadly, we did not enjoy our stay at all. From the rude attitude we experienced from the first night, to the poor service, limited entertainment, repetitive food, noise and lack of basic hospitality, this hotel fell far short of what we expected from a property advertised as 4-star.
Please save your money and consider booking elsewhere. Based on our experience, there are much better options available.
Villa Sunflower Hotel was, without doubt, one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had.
Sink was cracked and wobbled. Tap made a squeaky sound. We asked for a 4 bed room but they gave us one double bed and two couches. £10 wifi when it doesn’t work. Cleaners only came once in the whole week. Old fashioned technology. One AC for two rooms. Food was questionable. Only good thing was location, hotel is maximum 30 mins away from major places.
