Hotel is great, pool bar/restaurant and Ocean breeze bar are fab but the evening restaurant is one to be missed. The tapas is terrible for 19.99 euros per person. We asked for a discount as the paella was cold. We were eventually offered a 2.5% discount off the bill after a confrontational exchange but we deserved more as Veronica (I believe as that was the name on the receipt but it was the girl with the facial piercing and blue eyes) was rude and gave poor service. She doesn't appear to be suited to a hospitality role. The other waitress was apologetic. Veronica stated as we had said we were happy with food when she checked about 2 minutes after food had been delivered to the table (but the paella had not been tasted at that point) nothing could be done. No discount could be given. She also advised us that there is nowhere to leave a review to warn others of this poor service but here I am on trip advisor doing exactly that. We told the other waitress that the paella was cold & she advised she would talk to the chef. Would recommend the hotel for a lovely clean inexpensive get away but would not recommend the restaurant. This experience has tarnished our stay a little especially as my Spanish speaking friend could hear Veronica speaking about us unkindly when she returned to her colleague. Not professional. We still have a few days left of our stay but we will definitely not be visiting the Santa Barbara restaurant again.
Location only ten minutes away from the airport by car .. family rooms are amazing best value for money absolutely... The staff are amazing and very helpful....This is the second time we have stayed here and going to come back very soon been to quite a few hotels on this island and I will always say this is the best one
Been come to the Santa Barbara for about sixteen years now, obviously we go to quite a number of other places as well, but this is my go to "Happy Place". Had two weeks here in September (26) and had a gorgeous room, with all the amenities and spotlessly clean, view over the marina and ocean. The way they organise the sun beds is fantastic and it is such a shame that other hotels can't adopt a similar system, you book the day before and there is no argument or issues, in point of fact it helped us to meet an absolutely great bunch of people/friends so lots of conversations and company for Happy Hour, or Lucky Hour as one of our group called it. The place is spotless, the pool is kept clean and clear with NO eye irritation and the staff are incredibly helpful and polite, looking forward to the next visit now. One request I would make to the hotel is that please figure out a means to allow people to go out onto the promenade outside the hotel as it would be nice to be able to get down to the sea in the day and not have to walk all the way up the inclines on the way back from dinner in the evening.
Have just spent 10 nights at Santa Barbara. It was a very last minute trip so we didn’t know if accommodation would be available.
My e mail was answered within 30 minutes by Gustavo who found us a wonderful apartment with a sea view and got us a great price. On arrival we were checked in by my namesake Jennifer, super friendly and welcoming after a long travel day. We had a few questions that Isabel answered for us, and she was very helpful organising a new booking for next year.
The WhatsApp is a really useful way to get in touch with reception. They answer straight away.
We had a wonderful holiday. Our apartment was great it had everything we needed.
Everyone was very nice, the place can get confusing getting around- loved having a kitchen and a store right in the resort- loved being able to walk along the water- golfed one day, Golf course is not at the resort,a little misleading but beautiful course
