Situated in a magnificent frontline position in Puerto de Santiago on the west coast of Tenerife, the modern hotel boasts spectacular views over the impressive cliffs of Los Gigantes, the Atlantic Ocean and the island of La Gomera. Restaurants and bars are just a few steps away. The international airport Tenerife South is at a distance of approximately 45 km from the hotel. The rooms have a stylish design and most of them enjoy fantastic views of the sea and the cliffs. The hotel offers outdoor pools, a mini-club, a gym and various sports facilities. Guests can get pampered in the excellent spa area with hydro massage pools or sip on a cocktail while taking in the remarkable atmosphere of the surroundings.
Just come back from a week away at this fabulous hotel, what can I say stylish spotlessly clean hotel, alway seemed to see someone somewhere cleaning. Nice size room, good shower, great views over the sea and cliffs, comfy bed, very good wifi. We went all inclusive with Jet 2, food of a very good quality. Breakfasts great, large choice of fruits, pastries meats and cheeses, freshly made omlettes to your coice, plus loads of other items, Lunch again varied choice every day that we went there, always fresh fish being cooked, pasta, pizza etc, first day there had Tuna cannelloni which was fab. Dinner again always a good choice plenty of meats and fish to choose from, each day was a different themed country night Monday was American, weds was Canarian etc and they did dishes from these countrys. Drinks served to your table, white wine ( could have been colder) red wine, beer etc all of a good drinkable quality. Staff cleaned away plates well but sometimes when busy not quite efficient. Could also get some amazing food from the Breeze bar, we had some great garlic prawns, Greek meatballs, fabulous chiken club sandwiches, Dont even get me started on the Ribeye steak absolutley incredible ( have spent a lot of money on some and nowhere near as good as theres). Drinks again at the breeze bar all high quality named brands, Jamesons, Smirnoff, Bombay saphire, Bacardi etc, Cruz Campo on tap, great range of cocktails available all day, table service or you could go to the bar, opem till midnight every day Very nice Pool area with plenty of sunbeds, but as usual best to get up early if you want to guarantee one even though signs say not to. Entertainment team worked very hard, but not pushy think most people enjoyed them. Staff generally through out the hotel, hard working, very pleasent and usually smiling, got this impression from moment arrived at reception till the moment we left. Overall cant find a great deal to complain about, occasionally table service a bit slow ( when they where busy) no small tables for inbetween sunbeds or on the balcony ( sure theres a reason for this) but really nothing major Hotel is situated in a hilly area so if have trouble walking to say the marina which was about 35 mins away be aware the way back can be steep ( This is nothing to do with the hotel just thought I would point it out) This is classed as a 4 star hotel, but for me have been in 5 star hotels not as good as this, so I would class this at least 4 star plus, Would love to come back, but always think theres plenty other places not been yet, but would definately look into the Barcelo range again
Would definitely return. Immaculate hotel and staff were brilliant. Only flaw was that we would have liked some background music after the nighttime entertainment finished at 10:45pm until the all inclusive service finished at midnight or around the pool during the day. Very relaxing and chilled stay. Very impressed with the all inclusive offerings.
We had a lovely stay at Barceló Santiago with my partner. The staff was really freaking & nice. Atmosphere of the hotel was like a big family. Really enjoyed our stay!
My husband and I stayed her for a week for our anniversary. It couldn't have been better. The highlights for us were definitely the food and the pools. The restaurant buffet offered a wide variety of dishes for all tastes. The seafood selection was particularly delicious. The restaurant staff were so kind and helpful.
The hotel has 3pools which are a perfect depth for swimming or bobbing about. The entertainment strictly took place in one pool so the others were still able to be enjoyed if you didn't want to participate in any activities.
Our room was a Seaview room and it was incredible. The amenities were standard but the bed was an absolute dream, it was like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. The cleaning staff maintained the hotel very well and took pride in their job.

Our 3rd visit to this hotel which usually meets our expectations but on this occasion we have noticed that the clientele is getting younger. Our experience of an adults only hotel is people of a similar age to us, mid 40s to 70s not 18 years old & younger. The rooms are perfect, the staff excellent , special mentions go to the Breeze Bar staff; Fernando, Noel, Tino , Josè Ramon & Alicia. We love eating in the Breeze Bar but don’t like people wearing skimpy swimwear in the bar or queuing to get a drink. Surely for a 4 star hotel there should be a dress code after a certain time even though it’s a pool bar, the description of the Breeze Bar does say Gastro Bar.
