This sublime beach hotel enjoys an idyllic location on the promenade of Puerto de la Cruz. The hotel is situated just a short distance from a selection of lively bars, cafes, restaurants and delightful shops. Playa Martiánez bay is just a few metres away from the hotel offering guests the perfect setting in which to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing break. Tenerife North Airport is a mere 25 kms away. Set amidst sprawling gardens, this charming hotel blends effortlessly with its natural surroundings, providing guests with a serene retreat close to the heart of the entertainment. The hotel features a host of attractive facilities and services, designed with guests' leisure and recreational needs and desires in mind. The hotel also provides a restaurant where guests can enjoy the sumptuous delights that the menu has to offer.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have stayed at H10 hotels before and have always had an excellent experience, however, this one was disappointing. We booked 2 rooms and were given 2 at opposite ends of the hotel. The first room should have had a pool view but we had a better view of the toilets and staff smoking area than the pool. The air conditioning throughout the hotel was poor but particularly in one of the bedrooms. When I enquired about it I was told it was because it was a family sized room so we would not feel it as much! The evening entertainment was awful. Very old fashioned and outdated. One band was an old man with 2 much younger women wearing very racy clothing. Another was a dance act where the women wore leotards and used a chair to gyrate around. Not family friendly at all and very few people watched or sat in the lounge area. I found some of the restaurant staff to be very unpleasant, particularly one older gentleman. They kept trying to sit 5 of us at a table for 4 and squeezing an extra place. This was difficult as we are 3 adults and 2 teenagers so not small children. On the third occasion I asked if we could sit at a larger table and he was very rude in his response and said that they were expecting to be busy. However, at the time we were there the restaurant was not that busy and was absolutely not full. Another morning at breakfast the same man came and told us to hurry up as they needed the table. I did not see him treat any other guests in this way. We would go out of our way to try and avoid this man which added anxiety to meal times. On the positive side the location was good and the room sizes were also good. The cleaning staff were very friendly and efficient. Raul from the entertainment team was excellent. The daytime activities were a good variety.

We had a really lovely stay at H10 Tenerife Playa. The hotel is in an amazing location, right by the seafront, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Our room was gorgeous, comfortable and well maintained, and overall we really enjoyed our holiday.
Unfortunately, we did have one very upsetting experience which I feel other guests should be aware of.
During our stay, €50 was taken from my daughter’s purse while it was in our room. What made the situation even more disappointing was the way it was handled by the hotel. We didn’t feel that our concerns were taken particularly seriously unless we were prepared to involve the police. As this happened just before our last day of our holiday, we simply didn’t want to spend the remainder of our holiday dealing with police involvement, so we were left feeling very disappointed and frustrated.
I would strongly recommend that anyone staying here uses the room safe and makes sure that cash and other valuables are securely locked away. Even if you wouldn't normally think it necessary, it’s simply not worth the risk.
It’s a real shame that we had this experience because the hotel itself is beautiful, exceptionally clean and in a fantastic location. We would have had nothing but positive things to say about our stay otherwise. Unfortunately, having money taken from our room and then feeling that the matter wasn't taken seriously has definitely affected our overall impression.
Hotel is ok nice. Location is good. Food is nice. 10% of staff is nice but 90% rude. And as for the table service all includes wot aloud of crap. We waited 30- 45 minutesto be served that's if they come to you. Not much room around the pool for Sunbeds, no ball games or anything not ideal for kids, evening entertainment is shocking, We turned up at 1am checked in nice and fast. Went up to room bed was unsafe to sleep in. So we got move to a never room for one night so we could sleep. They cheged bed next morning all fine. But as for checking out what a nightmare. We leave on Monday at 6pm. Got to be out of room by 12pm. And bands get cut off. So now we are not all includes. What we ment to do for 6hrs.
This was an extended-family-Christmas vacation for 3 generations of the family which could have been brilliant but for the attitudes of some of the staff.
The location is great right by the lido and beach ( not used much in December) but be prepared for a lenghty transfer. Alarm bells first started to ring at check in, front desk staff seemed to have been trained by Chinese border security but without any actual system of dealing with people in order.. took absolutely ages.... not so much if you were Spanish though strangely. Next was the restaurant, every time we announced that we were a party of 11 ( which we did at least twice a day) you'd swear we had just made the most outrageous demand they had ever heard of... its not like they hadn't known that a party off 11 had booked with them for Christmas ! 4 of our party were vegetarian, who were very much not happy at all with the selection available, but for us meat-eaters there was nothing to complain about ( once seated) , Christmas dinner was excellent if you like seafood in particular ( we were spread over two tables though)
Bar service was a lottery, some waiters were great others took great pains to avoid eye contact whenever possible.
That said, the entertainment guys were great, the town itself is a short walk away, shops nearby etc.
Won't be in a hurry to go back
