The hotel is located in the northern side of Tenerife Island, in a quiet urbanisation just 2 km from the centre of Puerto de la Cruz and the artificial lake Martianez, very close to the Botanical Garden. The airport is about 25 minutes’ drive away. In the property, guests will find a swimming pool with slides, pool sunbeds and playground for younger guests making the perfect option for families with children as well as couples enjoying their honeymoon. The buffet restaurant offers delicious food along with a wonderful atmosphere. To rest and relax, there is the magnificent spa and wellness area. The bright and comfortable rooms are equipped with all the amenities visitors need to have a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Disappointing, not enough sun lounges and in need of maintenance around the grounds.
Unfortunately this hotel didn’t fulfill our requirements. By 9am every morning the small amount of sunbeds around the pool had been hogged. Leaving us with no option but to walk the 2 miles down the hill into the town to either go to the rocky beach or we did however find a lovely seawater pool which was €7 per person, including lots of sunbeds and reasonable priced cocktails and food. However, not really the point when you pay for an all-inclusive holiday and you can’t use the facilities at all, I personally wouldn’t bother paying for all inclusive because you wont use it.
The grounds were very tired and in need of some major maintenance work , the tennis court looked like it hadn’t been used since World War I. Plus a €10 deposit per beach towel, if you would like a fresh one it’s 1 euro to change and €1 deposit for a cup, How ridiculous!
The restaurant was something else altogether by the time you’ve got to the front of the queue to get the fresh food cooked on the grill the 3 people in front of you had taken four or five pieces of meat each and a whole plate of pizza meaning there’s was often nothing left! Hard to see what was on offer as long queues over the food counters in the morning. The icing on the cake was the last day at breakfast my husband saw a cockroach walking into the kitchen which he notified a member of staff about. Totally put me off having my breakfast that morning!
Rooms are basic but clean, however the towels were not changed the whole week, causing me to end up with cold sores from dirty towels. The photos online are also deceiving as it gives the illusion there are a few rooms with the jungle theme and bunkbeds for children which is one of the reasons I’ve booked this for my daughter‘s 12th birthday. However on checking we were told there was actually only one of these rooms available and it was constantly fully booked.
Overall not a great holiday for my husband‘s 50th birthday and my daughter‘s 12th birthday. Don’t expect much and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Entertainment team
The entertainment team are nothing short of incredible. They went above and beyond during our stay and made our holiday! Cami, Bence and Walter are the best thing about the hotel

we have loved the entertainment team here so much all of them are brilliant and so fun and caring especially camy and bense they’ve been so supportive and nice to us i couldn’t of asked for better treatment from these staff.
Blue sea hotel & spa
I went with family of 10 .. 3 adults an 7 kids aged 5 to 16 … theirs not much for teenagers the town is down a slope an walking is definitely not for faint hearted.. the hotel it self is clean. The pool is standard but beautiful views the staff entertainment daily varies so it’s keeps them entertained can’t fault the staff they work hard the spa treatments were amazing. The bar opens up an their is a large que but the staff do work hard it’s beautiful hotel maybe for people who want relax as bar closes at 11pm an most of the town but it does offer amazing outdoor activities.. views are spectacular it’s definitely not for people who want party .. the food is ok the restaurant balcony has spectacular views .. the only complaint I had was booking Loro park when your in group of 10 an bus seats were not cheap to find out their was no bus service weekends an they switch staff an English is terrible.. to find out if you walk into town theirs free bus … so watch out for that con … apart from that very clean rooms stunning hotel staff are very helpful/ cleaners amazing ladies can’t fault them … but I wouldn’t take heels ladies lol round hotel fine but not for town .. the black beaches definitely impressed me different to white gold sand beaches we normally go for but kids had fun an food was cheap enough in town but it’s steps an hills .. taxi are cheap but when pay for enclusive you really don’t want be paying 15 euro daily on taxi .. the evening entertainment is for kids below 5 an under.. but they do try extremely hard the best night is their lion king that’s definitely family entertainment.. de la Cruz is definitely for people who like hiking and exploring…
All inclusive disaster
My mates and I don't usually leave reviews so i hope this reaches the right person. Cons: The food is probably the worst tasting food. They have a range of selection to eat but the taste of the food turned our all inclusive to a bed and breakfast. I understand this isn't the most priced out hotel but the food was honestly terrible. If we didn't eat out - we ate mainly the food that couldn't go wrong - chips, hotdogs, bread and salad etc. This being the fact, the food that was decent enough ran out quick and which lead to the wait for that to be replaced making it hard to really even have anything else. Facilities that we could use was essentially stripped away before we flew so all we could use was the pool and gym, everything else was only during the time of the hotel games in the afternoon. Lifts system was iffy, had to go to the floor above to get the lift sometimes Tvs never allows anything like netflix etc even though this is available to be done on the TV. I'm a tech so i had a HDMi to hand but that was a downside for the boys not in my room. Cup system!! I have never been to a hotel where you have to pay to get a cup and then if that cup is missing / taken out your room during a clean you'd have to pay again. for a place where i have paid for this i should essentially have a wristband that gives me the access to this. Also after 11 , all you can get is water. everything is turned off , which forces you to venture out the hotel, in an area that closes at 10:30/11, or go to the over priced vending machines. I couldn't even refill my cup to take out without having one of the paid for cups which was insane. They have a good beer on tap but if you want good alcohol, you have to pay. the cocktails aren't great its basically syrup drowned in a low quality alcohol. this leads to my other point of there only being one bar, during certain times you're waiting nearly 10 minutes for a refill.
Other than that to end on a positive , the staff was great and accommodating. The cooling in the rooms were good, the pool was good and there was always a sunbed available somewhere. Rooms were cleaned around the same time daily.
If you're looking for a good place to stay this is a good hotel but i wouldn't recommend for the cons listed.
