The hotel is located in the northern side of Tenerife Island, in a quiet urbanisation just 2 km from the centre of Puerto de la Cruz and the artificial lake Martianez, very close to the Botanical Garden. The airport is about 25 minutes’ drive away. In the property, guests will find a swimming pool with slides, pool sunbeds and playground for younger guests making the perfect option for families with children as well as couples enjoying their honeymoon. The buffet restaurant offers delicious food along with a wonderful atmosphere. To rest and relax, there is the magnificent spa and wellness area. The bright and comfortable rooms are equipped with all the amenities visitors need to have a pleasant and comfortable stay.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Paid little? Acceptable. Paid lot..not good. Desperately needs FULL reverb. Selected refers is happening which highlights what's still wrong. Room furniture, ceiling fan, floor replaced. Bathroom shower and screen replaced. Mirror, toilet, floor, all damaged. Shower in very narrow bath. Danger of slip. Wear pool shoes in shower. Wardrobe doors battered. Tiles and wood throughout damaged and broken, especially around pool. Evening entertainment...joke. pool activities..very noisy. Food...plenty of it. Always options. However, never hot. Warm at best. Sep... Sun loungers available. Very religious..don't go. Seems to be selected destination for LGBTQ. Not problem... Unless you have very strick views. Tenis, mini golf, table tenis, boules, kids area..give it a miss ... Seems to be there to tick off 4 star status. Done forget cash. €20 euro each pool towel and €1 for refundable poolside cup. Overall.. acceptable for us we paid little. I read reviews. If full price.. give it a miss. Check insider for specific tips.
We arrived at around 12am and checked into our twin room, as soon as we got in the two wheels of one bed came off from the front, we went to reception and they were very accommodating, they gave us a replacement family room - this was lovely. All the rooms look exactly how they look in the picture. We then upgraded to a suite as was only €10 a night - this again was lovely. When we turned the air con on in the suite room the ceiling started dripping a little for the whole time the air con was on so we put a towel down, the suite came with 4 bathroom towels, two dressing gowns and two pool towels with a terrace having access straight to the pool and private sunbeds, best bit you could just walk straight out! The room had a few marks on the walls here and there and one of the shower hook things was broken off so we had to keep fixing but no biggie. The restaurant was also directly above all suites so you could continuously hear the chairs moving and scraping on the ceiling. There was entertainment both during the day such as water polo and water acrobatics, and also during the night such as games night. Also a range of activities in the hotel ( not sure if an extra charge ) such as mini golf and archery. The spa in the hotel was £15 per person (€36 for the two of us) and was definitely worth it, had loads of mini pools both warm and cold and was a way to relax. We had a half board booking and you can change from dinner to lunch when you please you just need to ask reception. The food had all the usual pizza and pasta as well other choices and there were a wide range of desserts. The drinks at the bar were priced €5-10 per drink depending on what one, however during breakfast dinner and lunch the drinks are a self serve so completely free! There is also a strip of shops just a hill down from the hotel and also another one called Lagos Martianez, taxis down to these places were £5-15 per trip depending on traffic, and all taxis had a card machine - drivers were also very nice! A couple said that they had things taken out of their room by a member of staff, it didn't happen to us but happened to some others and I think it was in some previous reviews so watch out for that. Loro parque is also about a 10 min drive away and it is a must if you like animals, the shows were incredible and they had loads of different animals.
We were pleased to receive a room with a view to the sea from the balcony, very quiet and spacious. I have arranged with Diego to have a birthday package placed in our room as a surprise for my husband 🤍 it was a beautiful surprise and a great memory! We were given snacks when we checked in late at night and enjoyed the pool and the meals, the good was delicious and the drinks made our stay special. I would like to thank the staff and recommend this hotel ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was dreading this hotel after stupidly booking then reading the reviews.
Some of the reviews are completely valid. Some completely just moan.
Firstly this All inclusive was £1000 cheaper than any other 4* for the week we went. So I kind of knew there was going to be some sacrifices we would have to endure.
First room we were given when arrived at 11pm was ok on first impression, a few hours later when I realised it was directly above the pool bar, next to the lobby bar and pool tables, coupled with the fact the a/c didn’t work and I awoke at 2am to a cockroach on the wall. I politely told reception at 2am that tomorrow I would be moving room first thing.
To their credit in the morning I was told I could move at 8:30am. The new room on the 4th floor was fine ac worked and we never saw another roach in the room.
Rooms are dated and I guess 10 years ago when it opened the rooms were nice and warranted a 4* rating.
Now the drinks. The lobby in the evening provides glasses at no charge. They do take a euro deposit at the pool bar, this is to save cups being left all around the pool which would cause wasps and flys to be all over and them having to pay staff to collect them. The cups are always changed for clean ones every time and we didn’t have an issue with this.
Now the downside is EVERYTHING is done as cheaply as possible. The spirits are the cheapest they could get, the food is the cheapest they could cook, yes there was burgers and hotdogs and chips (sometimes still frozen) but the other stuff was cheap even the veg was sprouts and the next day cauliflower, the 3rd day would be a veg pie featuring said sprouts and cauliflower. The breakfast was the best, because we stuck to boiled eggs and fresh bread.
The pool is good, it’s 2.3 meters deep at one end so kids enjoyed jumping in all day. The slide was naff. The doors open for sunbeds at 9am and if you want 4 together then reserve them, if you only need 2 then there were empty ones available all day. Pool closes at 7pm but that is just when the life guard goes home. People stayed in it till well gone 8pm.
Entertainment was ok from what we saw but not really for us.
Just think 3* Spain which is what it’s priced at and you won’t be too disappointed.
We won’t be back after being 5* in Tunisia the year before. We are done with Europe. It just can’t compete for value
Amazing staff and lovely reception amazing food and chefs and shows for kids and adults are amazing great WiFi the rooms were very good nothing bad to say about this place
