Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Wonderful hotel and staff. We had a wonderful relaxed week. The choice of food was absolutely amazing. I am coeliac and the gluten free options were excellent. The staff were great and very attentive. The cocktails were class as were the bar staff. You could get a bed by the pool no matter what time you arrived . The evening entertainment was very professional. Favourite act was B&B. We will definitely be back.
From our 1st steps into the Bahia Principe hotel the level of professionalism & cleanliness was outstanding … Rooms , pool , Restaurants Fantastic All Staff were so friendly & helpful . Would highly recommend & will Definitely love to come back ☀️
I went here solo for a rest and recuperation 4 day trip and it was exactly that! The hotel was immaculate in all areas! The room was comfortable and clean! The pools were great! As a CrossFit girl, the gym was amazing! The staff were so nice and helpful! The food was good! The bars were great! Couldn’t fault it! I guess if you’re looking for a “beach” holiday or a holiday packed with things to do then it’s not the right place but that’s due to location not the hotel! I would definitely go back! ☀️
We loved our stay at the newly refurbished Bahia Principe Escape. The rooms were modern and spacious, the food selection was excellent along with a good choice of drinks in the all inclusive package. The drinks table service at meals was great, and top ups offered throughout the meal. It truly was a relaxing stay! The staff were so friendly and helpful, assisting me with my spanish which was much appreciated. The animation team provided a good selection of activities (thank you Erika and Kevin). A big thank you to all the staff for making it such a great week, I would highly recommend this hotel. The only thing that I missed was some proper orange juice at breakfast.
Just returned from a 10 night stay at Bahia Principle Escape.
Excellent refurbed hotel, everything is clean and nicely designed. Service was excellent across all areas of accommodation, and staff all friendly and helpful - even ones walking into work. We were walking to bus stop to meet an excursion bus, and a gentleman who worked for the hotel, was so polite and friendly - it just showed the level of customer service they have.
A special mention to the bar team, who worked hard and always super friendly. Also, the entertainment team, who deserve so much credit - seen some teams over the years, but the whole team was excellent! No 'over pressure' should want to just relax by pool, however, you always knew what was going on.
We stayed in a junior suite room, which was lovely. Clean, spacious and just what we were looking for. Balcony looking out over pools to the sea just behind, with stunning sun sets.
Cleaning team provided a great level of daily service too. Nice addition with the chilled water machine to save on use of glass/plastic bottles. Fill up yourself and place in your mini fridge. Nespresso coffee machine in room, with some nice coffee pod options, together with some complimentary drinks in fridge. Air Con worked perfect as well, and remained on. No extra charge for air con or use of in room safe. Also had an iron and ironing board in room, which is handy - some hotels charge for an ironing service.
Food & Drink A wide selection each day across Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Meats, sea food, vegetables, salads etc all fresh and well presented - regularly maintained to ensure availability. Also, the fresh egg fried rice & pasta sections being made as you watch, was super tasty and a nice additions.
We also tried the Gofio restaurant a few times for lunch, rather than going to main buffet. Highly recommend. Most items are no extra cost for all inclusive. Fresh and good quality food with table service. Always available to top up drinks etc. We also went here for an evening meal (Canarian Restaurant) - again the food and service was excellent.
During the day, the main pool bar serves all drinks inc, various cocktails, spirits and beer. All branded and most within the all inclusive. If you select a a drink not in the all inclusive, the staff will double check you are happy to proceed prior to serving. Nice selection of cocktails too. The pool bar did noticeably get busier in our second week when guest numbers increased. I did feel for the staff as they were working non-stop all day in various areas of hotel - but never dropped levels of service. More staff to help share load?
Whilst talking about pool... main pool is split into two, with the entertainment in the first pool during morning (only 30mins or so), and the pool at the back is larger and deeper for swimming. No real issue with getting a sun bed, however you will need to get down by 8am if you want to get one in the first pool (closest to bar). Plenty of sun beds though - you will never not get one.
Location It is a remote location away from main towns, which is exactly what we were looking for. There is alot of derelict areas leading down to the hotel from main roads, however, no rooms have a view that way - they all point towards the sea, so once away from that area, you do not even think about it.
You can get a mini bus each day to La Players De Americas (£4 euros each), which leaves at 10am and returns at 1:45pm - I believe there might be a 4pm return, however never looked into it. Worth visiting for shopping, walking to the beach to watch surfers, or stopping for some food/drink etc.
Couple of comments Excursion booth never manned, so had to ask Reception about booking tickets to Loro Parque (highly recommend). The reception guy spoke to someone on the phone who immediately sent a WhatsApp to book tickets for next day - worked perfectly. Would be good to have someone there for guests to book trips.
Another comment, which I was unsure to write, however I decided to add. There is one chef in the main buffet restaurant, who was grumpy and not friendly for the full 10 days which we stayed. Although this did not bother us, however, it could detract from the service levels provided from all other staff.
To sum up - we had a fantastic stay and we will be back. The holiday was exactly what we needed, to relax and chill within lovely surroundings. We also look forward to seeing the sister resort just down the road once completed next year.
