Being just a couple of minutes’ away from the beach, this amazing hotel located in Playa de las Americas, Tenerife, is perfect for a romantic trip. The airport is just about 15 minutes away by car from the complex. The outdoor pool area is simply the best place, there guests can relax and unwind under the shadow of an umbrella, enjoy the sun by sunbathing or having a refreshing swim in the pool. The roof top pool will be another level of relaxation, rest on sun lounger while sipping from a margarita or swimming in the infinity pool while admiring the view of the Atlantic Ocean. The restaurant will receive them with open arms and delight them with delicious food and tasty beverages. After a full day of fun and entertainment, the rooms decorated with bright colours, equipped with all the essential amenities and cosy beds are perfect to have a good night sleep and have an unforgettable holiday.
This was my second time staying here, and I continue to love the hotel, particularly because of its location. This time, we opted for a pool-view room and the half-board option.
Unfortunately, the half-board experience was disappointing. During our seven-night stay, we were never once asked for our room number to see whether we had dinner included. I even overheard other guests say that they could have dinner at the hotel, which left me wondering what we were paying extra for as half-board guests if other guests could seemingly use the same service without paying for it.
We also had an uncomfortable experience at the pool bar. We ordered drinks at around 5:45 pm, and the member of staff serving us appeared visibly annoyed, looking at me as though to say, “Really?” because the bar was due to close at 6 pm. We completely understood that the bar was closing soon, but the attitude made us feel unwelcome.
Overall, I still really like the hotel and its location.
My husband and I stayed at the Tigotan Hotel for 7 nights at the beginning of September in a Deluxe Double Room on a Bed & Breakfast basis. The hotel's location is perfect—an ideal spot close to both the beach and the Golden Mile.
Positives: The entire hotel was spotlessly clean and very well-maintained throughout our stay. The energy around the pool was amazing. The music kept the vibe lively, and the pool party was out of this world—easily the highlight of our trip. (We didn't go up to the rooftop area, so I can't comment on that space). The food at breakfast was good, though it felt identical every day (though to be fair, I am not a big breakfast person).
Negatives: We chose this specific hotel for our honeymoon, and it was explicitly stated on our booking, so it was disappointing that there was zero acknowledgement or gesture. Seeing other reviews mention birthday champagne left in rooms made us wonder why marriages aren't celebrated .
The hotel has a 30-minute sunbed reservation rule. Our towels were removed while we ate breakfast, yet a couple directly in front of us who reserved theirs before us (and used two extra beds just to hold their bags and books) were completely ignored. The policy makes sense, but enforcing it selectively felt unfair.
Guests frequently sat on the main entrance steps leading into the pool, which was frustrating when trying to get in and out of the water comfortably.
But........... Despite the service hiccups with the sunbed policy and the missed personal touch for our honeymoon, the vibe, cleanliness, location, and pool party made for a great trip. Would I return? Yes, I think I would.
We have spent 6 days here and sadly leave tomorrow. This is our first time to an adults only hotel and we would definitely come back. Breakfast is top notch with plenty of choice for everyone. Reception team are also wonderful and go out of their way to help you. The animation team of Fran, Luca and Jente were amazing and really encouraged everyone to try out the different activities on offer. The foam party in the pool was really great and we enjoyed every minute of it. All staff are friendly and always smiling..our cleaning lady could be heard singing as she is doing her rounds. All in all a lovely stay and we will be back in the future
Stayed here for 10 nights at the end of August int to start of September. My first stay here - recommended by my sister who has stayed numerous times previously.The Location of this hotel is excellent 35 minutes in the taxi from Tenerife Sud airport. Close to everything , short walk to the beach and the golden mile and the madness of the strip.There is a lovely atmosphere in the hotel most of the guests were friendly. The staff who were always busy but also always made time to say hello and were really friendly. Ive never seen such happy staff in other properties , each and everyone of them is a credit to the hotel.
I booked a room (222) overlooking the pool, the room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The noise levels were quite low considering I could look directly at the entertainment and the pool which was directly below me.The entertainment itself was varied and worth staying in the hotel for. There was entertainment by the pool at the bar inside the hotel and up on the roof top bar ( Cafe Del Mar) even the daytime entertainment was good( loved the foam party) Had an enjoyable breakfast every morning. The restaurant had a booking system for evening meals which worked out quite well We ate there on eight of the ten nights2. The food was varied and I did manage to try a few dishes I had never tasted before - some I will never eat again!. The ambience and atmosphere on the rooftop Cafe Del Mar was really nice--as were the fabulous cocktails .If your a baileys drinker I recommend the FBI! The roof top infinity pool is also worth a visit. We had an evening flight home and were able to get a late checkout from the apartment. Towel rental is available for around the pool for €20 and you can change your towel as often as you want. The pool area did get very full but there was no issues with getting sunbeds probably because of the time of year, but i would think maybe in peak season there would not be enough to go around
It as my birthday during the stay and to my surprise there was a birthday card and a bottle of Champagne left in the room, another nice touch .Would I go back 1000% and plan on doing so in 2027
Just come back from a 6 night stay with my friend, hotel is in a good location, rooms lovely and clean, when we arrived we had no lighting in our room, but this was fixed with 10 minutes of us being in the room, i would say the lighting was quite poor in the room, nice size rooms, shower worked ok, pool good size and the temperature was nice, wasnt impressed the food the selection i thought was poor, the manager came to speak to us one evening and we mentioned it to him, he said the food was on a rota, but the same food was there 3 nights on the run, on our second to last day, there were a group of lads around the pool who where getting loader the more alcohol the had, and saying not nice things about people when they were getting out the pool, they were very rowdy, roof top bar was nice and had good entertainment
