Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, which was a great start to our holiday.

The food was a real highlight. We had food at the poolside bar several times and it was always fresh and very tasty. We also ate at the rooftop bar, Café del Mar, and really enjoyed the food there too.

A special mention has to go to the entertainment team, Fran and Karolina, who were fantastic throughout our stay. They were always friendly, approachable and had a smile on their faces. They made a real effort to get everyone involved in the activities, and Fran’s energy and sense of humour had us absolutely belly laughing! They genuinely helped make our holiday more enjoyable and are a real credit to the hotel.

The Friday foam party was absolutely brilliant and was definitely one of the highlights of our stay.

The location is also excellent, with a supermarket directly across the road and many pubs, restaurants and the beach all within walking distance. The Golden Mile is also easily accessible on foot.

Areas for improvement

The biggest issue for us was the lack of sun loungers around the pool. You really need to be down at the pool before 10am to have any chance of getting a lounger, and if you wanted a Bali bed, you needed to be there around 6:30am. This was not an issue for us getting up early because the Bali Beds are so worth it and even better that you do not need to pay extra for them, its 1st come 1st basis is extremely fair. However, If you fancy a lie in or are heading out early to venture to the markets or other excursions there was no hope of getting any sort of lounger in the afternoon.

For the first five mornings, we got up at 6:30am to secure a Bali bed. However, on our final two mornings, the pool entrance doors were closed. When we asked reception why they were closed, we were told that the doors weren't opened until 7am. We explained that we had been using the entrance at 6:15am every morning for the previous five days, but unfortunately we were made to feel as though we were lying about this, which was very disappointing.

What made the situation even more frustrating was seeing other guests using the fire exits to get out and secure Bali beds, while those of us who had got up early and were waiting for the main entrance to open were left standing around.

We really feel the hotel needs to look at the number of sun loungers and Bali beds available.

The pool area could also benefit from having the music turned up slightly. When there weren't any activities taking place, the atmosphere could feel quite quiet and lacked a little bit of the holiday atmosphere you would expect around the pool.

We also spoke to several other guests who mentioned having issues with cockroaches. Thankfully, we personally did not experience this, so we can only comment on what other guests told us, but as it seemed to be a recurring complaint, we feel it is worth mentioning.

Overall

Despite the issues mentioned above, we had a really enjoyable holiday and there were definitely more positives than negatives. The food was great, the entertainment team were brilliant, and the activities and foam party really added to the experience.

Fran and Karolina deserve a special mention for making us laugh and encouraging us to get involved — they genuinely helped make our stay memorable.

With some improvements to the pool area, particularly the availability of sun loungers and Bali beds, and a little more atmosphere around the pool, we think this hotel could be even better

Honest review

Good location Needs to tile the floors in the hallways as current floor really dirty and gross Good selection for breakfast - happy the crossiants stopped getting glazed half way through Bed comfortable enough If staying book a pool view as if now you won’t really sit out on your balcony Entertainment team - the 2 girls really put in a good effort Pool games good crack Pool bar good - but charges too much for kobberberg could get away charging 5/6 not 7.50 No issues with sun loungers as long as down for around 9 - or after half 2 Was breakfast only so can’t comment on half board etc Cleaners were brilliant - room cleaned every day fresh towels etc Hotel needs to sound proof the sewer pipe system as really is disturbing in general but especially when trying to sleep/chill out.

Overall dead on would come again but book a pool view and request a high floor.

I’m going to write this review in parts so it’s easier!!

Location: the location of the hotel is really good; for the young people it’s very close to the golden Mile and the bars and clubs and for the older generations, it’s close to some shops and nice sit down bars. Very accessible to get a taxi and/or bus from the hotel. When we were there we travelled around using the bus and there’s a bus stop just outside the hotel so that was a plus. The hotel being close to the clubbing part of Tenerife is no problem as it’s a 10 minute walk so if you’re out late don’t worry about being haggled by drunk people. You’re able to see the sea from the rooftop cafe and pool which is really nice

Atmosphere: The atmosphere of the hotel is really nice, you really feel like you’re on holiday. The staff make it better, no complaints there. The other tourists at the hotel were normal no complaints or exceptional things to say. Will say the young people stick to other young people and the older people stick to other older people so there is a ‘divide’ but nothing too bad. I’ve seen some reviews about some of the young people being loud at night? I didn’t experience this problem while I was there so it could just be down to how people perceive “loud” as. But overall the atmosphere is very nice.

Rooms: Were okay, nothing to write home about, the room can be abit dim in the evenings and night so if you’re getting ready I’d probably do it in the bathroom. The fridge wasn’t stocked, tv worked but could only access Netflix on it. The bathroom is really nice and spacious.

Value: very good value for money.

Cleanliness: Very clean hotel, even the public bathrooms around the hotel was clean. The rooms were clean upon arrival. When the room was cleaned by the cleaners I don’t know if we’re supposed to get new bedsheets everytime but we weren’t. So for example if we had to quickly get out of bed because we had an excursion to go to and we didn’t make our bed and there’s a stain on it, we’d come back to the room being tidy but with the same bedsheets. Again, I don’t know if you’re supposed to get new bedsheets everytime like you get new towels.

Noise levels: wasn’t noisy at all for me or my friends however as said earlier it might have just been the floor I was on.

Service: lovely staff throughout, my flight was at night but we had to check out at the normal time of 11 and needed to charge my phone, i asked the staff at the Cafe del mar to charge it for me behind the bar and they were happy to do so, i also felt safe with my phone being behind the bar which shows how comfortable I was with the services and people.

Amenities: Very good, didn’t partake in any of the pool activities as we were always busy outside of the hotel but when I did see the activities going on it did look fun. We really wanted to use the spa but didn’t have no time. The pools were really good. I’m not someone who uses the nudist section of the rooftop but that was a nice amenity for people who do use it, I will say though I do think there needs to be more privacy, maybe the shield should be taller and I think the shield is abit short.

Food: breakfast was really good and tasty, dinner was not good in my opinion we stayed for 5 nights, 3 of the nights we ate out and the other 2 we stayed in, the first night we stayed in I had the dinner and didn’t like it so the 2nd night I just decided to have the dessert and call it a day.
