Being just a couple of minutes’ away from the beach, this amazing hotel located in Playa de las Americas, Tenerife, is perfect for a romantic trip. The airport is just about 15 minutes away by car from the complex. The outdoor pool area is simply the best place, there guests can relax and unwind under the shadow of an umbrella, enjoy the sun by sunbathing or having a refreshing swim in the pool. The roof top pool will be another level of relaxation, rest on sun lounger while sipping from a margarita or swimming in the infinity pool while admiring the view of the Atlantic Ocean. The restaurant will receive them with open arms and delight them with delicious food and tasty beverages. After a full day of fun and entertainment, the rooms decorated with bright colours, equipped with all the essential amenities and cosy beds are perfect to have a good night sleep and have an unforgettable holiday.
Just returned home from our 4th stay at the Tigotan, another great stay but I do have to agree with some of the comments regarding looking after return customers - we were given room 345 which was right above the bar and quite noisy and we weren’t offered an upgrade like the last time we stayed here, however that being said the staff are all friendly, the entertainment remains excellent, as does the food. We again had no issues finding a sunbed, the only downside for us was that we booked the roof top and half the pool was shut with building work going on which was a shame as no one notified us and we still had to pay which I felt was a bit unfair given that some facilities weren’t working. Despite this we still had an enjoyable stay and would definitely return!!
Had a lovely stay here the 26th sep cant thank the staff enough we had originally booked another hotel but when we arrived at it the hotel was horrendous we went to tigotan to see if they could help as we stayed there last year and they did went above & beyond for us hotel is spotless staff are lovely will definitely be back thank u so much for helping us
We had a fantastic stay at Tigotan for 9 nights, I would definitely recommend this hotel! The location was great, only a 5 minute walk to the main strip, and the other restaurants that are located near by were excellent. Entertainment was brilliant, we spent a lot of time on the rooftop terrace where the cocktails were delicious, every night there was something to look forward to - DJ’s, performers by the pool and singers, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming (especially Damien & Rafael!) The rooms were also great, we decided to pay a little extra to have a pool view room, however our room was located on the ground floor facing the Exclusive lounge, which was a slight disappointment at first as we couldn’t see the pool, but as the days went on it was a perfect little spot. The facilities were also great, the shower was very nice and our room was cleaned to a great standard. We did highlight some problems with the air conditioning not working and our balcony door not closing properly, but the reception & maintenance team worked on it straight away! The pool area was great, only issue would be that there are limited comfy sunbeds, I realised that each day the same couples would get up extremely early to reserve the best beds, one morning the sun hadn’t even come up and people were reserving the best ones - maybe there should be an opening time where people can start reserving beds, as I’m sure they won’t be sunbathing at 7am with no sun! The pool party on Friday and activities such as aqua aerobics and pool side games were so much fun and all the entertainment staff were fantastic. We only had breakfast and the occasional lunch on the rooftop terrace and poolside bar, but there were loads to choose from and it was all delicious! Overall a wonderful holiday, thank you so much Tigotan! We will be back!! :)
I don’t know how this hotel has 4 stars. We found it to be very disappointing and certainly not worth the price for the standard of the hotel. The reception and bar area look pleasant on arrival but once you start walking towards your room and see the filth of the carpets, walls and the dingy lighting in the hallways you’ll be shocked. The elevators are in poor condition and we were warned by other guests on arrival not to use one in particular as it keeps breaking down.
We had a pool view room which was fairly basic but would have been fine, however the bed was horrendous!! The mattress in our room had broken springs from people sitting on the both sides of the bed over a long time so was extremely uncomfortable and made it very difficult to sleep. It was severely sagging and made you feel like you were going to roll off the bed. The pillows were also very disappointing. We asked for either a new room or a new mattress the next morning. They flipped the mattress over and fitted a topper which made zero difference. Shocking experience and another awful nights sleep. We only stayed for 2 nights so it wasn’t worth the hassle of arguing with the receptionist over the bed issue any further.
The pool area was fine but most of the padded sunbeds were ripped, likely due to age. The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was edible but nothing to get excited about.
My parents have stayed here previously and they couldn’t believe how dirty the hotel has become. Avoid avoid avoid.
We stayed here during the end of June and absolutely loved our stay. We stayed for 10 days and could have stayed for longer!! We will be returning next summer too. The rooms are modern and spacious and the mini bar was refilled daily. The room was also always cleaned to a good standard. We never had an evening meal so can’t rate that however the food at the snack bar was lovely. As were the drinks and service. The breakfast had plenty options but we did prefer to eat out trying different bars. There is also a rooftop cafe and the food there is lovely. The poolside area was spacious and we never struggled for a sunbed. Sometimes was 10/11am before we got downstairs and always managed to find a couple of free beds. The pool was a perfect temperature, nice and refreshingly cool so you are comfortable in the water. There is also a rooftop pool which does come at an extra cost but it is absolutely worth it for the view!!!! We stayed in only one night for the entertainment but it was good and a lovely environment. The daytime entertainment was okay. On three days it was shows/water activities which people engaged in and that was good but the other days were just games during the day. The location is also perfect, walking distance to the strip and the gold mile. It is absolutely central to everything and plenty bars/shops, restaurants on the doorstep too. The location is the main reason we booked this hotel and it did not let us down. Unfortunately, when we were there, the hotel next door had construction which was noisy and started 8am everyday.. however we were prewarned of this but I would recommend paying for a pool view room to avoid this as it still looked like they had a lot of work to do. Overall lovely hotel, perfect location and we will be back :))
