Dip into one of the 2 outdoor swimming pools or enjoy other recreational amenities including outdoor tennis courts and a steam room. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, an arcade/games room and a vending machine.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Visited in August with my partner, his son and my mother in law. Son is 8 years old and adored the kids club but unfortunately the timings with it took a massive wedge out of our days- 11 til 12, 3 til 4 and I think 8 til 9. It meant we couldn't really leave the hotel which is great if you love sitting by a pool and watching activites but Tenerife has so much more to offer.
Rooms are fairly dated and probably hasn't had a refurb since the late 80's early 90's- there was air con. We were in the block that backs on to Veronica's and trust me when I say that goes on until 4am EVERY SINGLE DAY and I could tell you what music was playing it was that loud.
Food was bang average and on plastic plates. Think chips, meats, dry hamburgers, plain pasta and most fried foods. Only in the main dining area were you allowed any sort of glass so wine out of plastic reusable cup, cocktails out of reusable plastic cups and beer out of reusable plastic cups. The plastic cup situation was dire. So even on all inclusive you can only have a drink out of a reusable plastic cup and if you forgot the cup you then had to pay another euro to get another cup and then you were given a chip at the end to transfer it for another drink, which is great until the end of the holiday you have loads of these stupid little chips and get cut off (quite literally your band gets cut off) on the last day.
The cleaners I have to say are incredible as are the entertainment staff hence the 3 stars rather than 2. The entertainment team the kids absolutely adore them and they are lots of fun. Some of the bar staff are lovely some are always with a miserable face not overly consistent.
The pool doesnt open until 10am which isn't ideal when you have children as they eat and then immediately want to be doing something. We put down towels and quickly had breakfast and our towels were already removed this was at 10am which again is fine but if the kids club rules your day then you probably won't have anywhere to sit and wait around all day.
All in all- a fairly average stay. I wish I had researched a little better.
The hotel is one of the worst 4 star hotels I have been in. I got a room, the room was very dated. The air condition did not cool and was defininately in need of a filter replacement and cleaning. The interior was very dated and worn. I asked for another room and then we were shown another room that was even worse, it had a chair from 1970s that was falling apart and save to sit on, the door into the room had a hole in it like someone had punched it. I was offered the third room that was the same as the first room very dated and the aircon not working properly. I do not recommed this hotel. Pick anything else even a 3 star hotel that is more decent for less price. Do not be fooled by the pictures on the hotel webside.
Been here a few times always had a great time, we get a side seaview room and very little noise.staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. Good selection of foods.cleaned daily. All in all a very positive experience.
⭐️ Very disappointing – definitely not like our first visit
This is our second time staying at Sol Tenerife, and unfortunately, it has changed so much since our last visit. We were really disappointed with the overall experience.
Our room and the hotel constantly smelled of cigarettes and weed throughout our stay, which was really unpleasant. Getting a sunbed was practically impossible, with hardly any chance of finding one.
We also had a really unpleasant experience with the lifeguard. My partner and his friend jumped into the pool and were accused of diving multiple times, which simply wasn’t the case. We witnessed other guests doing backflips and jumping in, yet nobody said anything to them. We felt completely singled out and treated appallingly. They threatened to kick us out. Not only were they rude about it but they wouldn’t show us the camera footage as proof and the life guard put his hands on my partner trying to shove him. It’s bang out of order!
The food was another major disappointment. For an all-inclusive hotel, we found the quality of the food absolutely disgusting and nowhere near what we expected.
What really annoyed us was the final day. After checking out of our rooms, our all-inclusive bands were cut off and we were told we would have to pay for any food or drinks. Our transfer isn’t until 19:15, and we have paid for 10 days all-inclusive, so being left without food and drinks for the remaining hours of our stay feels completely unfair.
We loved Sol Tenerife on our first visit, which is why we came back, but sadly this time has been a completely different experience. The hotel has really gone downhill, and based on this stay, we wouldn’t return or recommend it.
We booked this hotel as a package through "On The Beach" withough fully reading the rewiews.... And then read them last minute. We totally panaced but was pleasently surprised.
Arriving at the airport we found our transfers to the hotel and after a 20 min wait we were off. The usual game of whos staying at what hotel and hoping yours wasnt a bad one.
When we finally arrived in the area with drove down the strip in Playas Las Americas. So many bars, Shops, Cafes and so on...... Adverts and things to book everywhere. We pulled up at what looked like the enterance to a small under ground shopping centre or parking garage. Made to sense to us to begin with but as the week went on we totally got it.
The big buses, taxis and deliverys need to be accomidated for an the open nature of the lobby means the lounging areas are cool and have a nice light breeze.
We went to the booking in desk and the staff clearly deal with a lot of plonkers. They were direct and infomational but not very warm. That changed through the weak as they got to know us.
We managed to get dinner just in time.
The next few days we enjoyed many excursions, Pools days, Walks along the beach prominards and plenty of cheesy but good entertainment.
The daily exercise/stretching classes were a particular hit that set us up for the day.

Thats it. I can only imagine the meny negative reviews on here are from people expecting 5 start hotel from a more budget hotel. Also think the 6 week holidays would be rammed due to the amazing value and location.
