This beach hotel is conveniently situated on the stunning island of Tenerife. Just 200 metres away guests will find the sprawling, pristine golden sands of the beach. For the more energetic traveller, the hotel offers a host of sports activities and the nearest golf course is a mere 500 metres away. The hotel also provides an international entertainment programme to keep everyone satisfied.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This hotel was lovely, right on the beach front! Rooms cleaned , sheets and towels changed daily. Loads to do in the area but what made it was the entertainment staff especially the lovely Daniel who was so funny and brilliant with everyone! Would go back for all of the above but esp for him!!
Great place! saw the reviews and was worried yet the staff are kind and helpful, you get the odd issue (other tourists) yet this isn’t the hotels fault. The only reason this wasn’t a five star review is because of the location, located directly next to Veronica’s strip this hotel can be noisy at night although, again there is nothing the hotel can do about this. I would advise bringing a fire stick or a plugin for the tv to play at night to block the sound from outside as the tv’s are spanish channels and you are unable to change this.
Can honestly say this hotel has been the biggest disappointment. My husband and I came with our 1 & 5 year old for 10 days.
Food - we were only bed and breakfast but have asked to be downgraded to room only as we were served raw chicken at the snack bar and mouldy butter at the breakfast buffet the next morning. We spoke to Jet 2 about moving to another hotel following this however they were incredibly unhelpful. Only positive is that the hotel guest coordinator and reception have been polite and as helpful as possible - they offered us a meal upgrade which we declined and a late check out which we accepted.
Pool - far too small for the size of the hotel and not enough loungers which leads to the inevitable sun bed wars in the morning. The door outside is locked until 9.30am and people start queueing up for 45 minutes beforehand to be first out. If you do get a lounger you then have to wait until 10am for the pool to open. If you don’t get there first then you won’t find any free bed later on and the lifeguard refuses to bring spare sun loungers down from the sun terrace which no one sits on.
Rooms - modernised to a nice standard but the beds are incredibly uncomfortable. Cleaning of the room is a light dust and remade bed. They change the sheets every 3 days which was annoying when our children got chocolate on ours and they weren’t changed for days.
Kids - the kids park is in the sun all day so the climbing frame and slide are too hot to play on. There’s only really one swing and a connect 4 game that can be used. We haven’t used the kids club so can’t comment on that. There’s table tennis but again only one and it’s usually busy. There’s two pool tables in the hotel reception area for €2 per game. There’s a sign that says games and fun pub downstairs from reception but there’s nothing there. The slides in the baby pool are good for young kids.
There’s a few other niggles like the rough casting of the pool that has cut my husbands feet. You’re not allowed large inflatables in the pool. The lifts in the hotel are really small and the beading round the mirrors/carpeted walls are falling off - my kids have snagged their clothes a couple of times on the loose beading. The shop in the hotel is really small and very expensive, €5 for a bottle of water where the supermarket round the corner is €1.
Ive stayed in a few melia hotels and this one is definitely not up to the usual standards. Avoid unless you are looking for a crowded hotel with poor food standards - it’s as basic as it comes.
I was dubious due to reviews on here of noise/party hotel etc, nearly to the point of cancelling the hotel, but I have to say I absolutely loved my stay and would absolutely come back!! I went with my partner (both 30 from UK) and we were given a room on the 9th floor in block A (closest to Veronicas strip) but overlooking the pool - so furthest away from strip, and we heard zero noise apart from 2 occasions of drunk people stumbling along the hall around 3am but nothing to really complain about. The location is perfect with everything nearby. The queues for sun loungers began around 8am, with the door opening at 8:30am, we always got a lounger by being there at 8am, and the lifeguards were really good at noting which loungers had been left unattended- usually for around 2hrs then removing towels, which was great to see actually! They also were on the ball with people diving in the pool(not allowed)/people shouting/smoking on sun loungers and speaking to those breaking the rules etc. The rooms are basic, but clean, we were self catering so cannot comment on food. My only tip would be - on your last day, you can request a shower room for a time of your choice. We chose 3pm as our pickup was at 4, however the queue for reception was massive and we didn’t actually get into the shower until nearer 3:30, which caused a panic rush for our pickup up, so leave enough time for this. Also your not allowed hotel towels at the pool, so either rent from hotel or bring your own. My only ‘complaint’ as such is that the pool itself; and the tiles around it are quite grubby… I feel like they’re never cleaned and there’s lots of long hairs and leaves etc around- I just wore sandals when moving around. Also the pool is quite salty tasting?? Not sure whats causing that as its not an actual salt pool. But yes, I would absolutely stay again!!
One of the worst hotels
I have ever stayed in. The communication is terrible and you do not get the full all inclusive that you pay for!! Avoid at all costs. Staff is very unfriendly and unkind. No effort to make your holiday good at all.
