This hotel is located Playa de las AmΓ©ricas, Spain. Sitting next to a golden sand and crystal water beach. It has a good location being only 15 kilometres distance from the Tenerife Sur airport. Nearby attractions as commercial centres, Golf clubs or aquatic parks are alternatives of entertainment for travellers.
This magnificent hotel is ideal for family vacation as it offers a vast number of activities to join when stay in. A nice large pool as well as a childrens pool, where guests can either take a dip to cool off or lounge around whilst soaking up the warm sun on the surrounding sunbeds. The hotel also features an on-site gym and spa centre offering treatments at a fee for a sense of relaxation. Mediterranean Palace offers a range of dining options including a buffet restaurant, pool bar and sports bar.
Comfortable, spacious and ait-conditioned rooms with lovely views will charm all visitors when stay. All guestrooms are equipped with a TV, hair dryer, telephone, fridge rental and safe at no extra cost, 24 h room service and free WiFi during your stay.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have just returned from a 2 weeks stay at this hotel, and while there were some positives, overall it didnβt quite meet the expectations of a 5-star experience.
On arrival, the hotel is absolutely stunning. Itβs very modern, stylish, and aesthetically pleasing throughout, which definitely gives a great first impression. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful
Another big plus was the availability of sunbeds β unless you were after the front row early in the morning, there were still plenty of options even around lunchtime.
Location- you couldnβt ask for any better really. Right on the golden mile and close to the beach, we were worried about noise on a nighttime but as soon as those balcony doors were closed you didnβt hear a thing.
However, there were a few areas that really let the hotel down.
The pool area wasnβt the cleanest. Sunbeds didnβt appear to be moved regularly, so areas underneath werenβt properly cleaned and your feet always felt dirty. While the entertainment team themselves were good, the atmosphere around the pool was lacking. Music was only played during organised activities like aqua gym or announcements for the next activity leaving the pool area quiet for most of the day.
Rooms were modern - we had a view of the golden mile which was stunning, however they were only surface cleaned β bed linen wasnβt changed at all during our two-week stay, and the shower didnβt seem to be properly cleaned either.
The pool bar was extremely overpriced. Cocktails were around β¬8 each, a single slice of pizza cost β¬6. On top of that, the food portions were very small for the price, making it feel like poor value.
Breakfast was ok, there was a reasonable selection however the food wasnβt always hot and seen many using the microwaves, also things like the absence of hash browns (a staple for many on a full English) were not available.
Late checkout wasnβt available, which is understandable at times, but with our pickup not until 5pm it was quite inconvenient as there is no courtesy room either β only shared gym showers, which isnβt ideal.
My partner went to the gym to find this isnβt included unless youβre all-inclusive, costing β¬20 per week otherwise. For a hotel advertised as 5-star, this feels like something that should be included for all guests.
Overall the hotel looks amazing, and we did have a great time, but not quite sure it meets the 5* rating.
Currently staying at the hotel, having a great time. Family of mixed ages 5-69 years old and it is the first hotel I have experienced that can meet the needs of everyone so well. The kids club is amazing! Vibrant, inviting, fun and the staff genuinely love their jobs, thank you!
Location... you couldn't wish for better if you want to be on the golden mile- food, luxury shops, supermarkets, beach, all on your doorstep.
Food... we are bed and breakfast and this is perhaps our only negative, whilst there is a large selection, definitely something for everyone, the food is not warm. Microwave is available but the food should be warmer, perhaps the heat lamps just aren't effective enough.
Pool... plenty of space for everyone, never crowded and different depths to suit all. The splash park definitely fun for 5 and under. No sunbed reservations allowed, if you want a particular spot then you simply have to sit from early morning. Plenty of choice to be had at 9am but further back from the pool.
Entertainment... daytime offers a great range for adults and children, some fab tunes for aqua aerobics and staff friendly but not over persistent. Inflatable assault course in the pool on Wednesday was a huge hit with the kids. Evening offers a varying range and all have been good. Games room on the lower level is good for kids in the evening too, never too busy.
Cleanliness definitely a priority here. The lobby, pool area, terrace, rooms all thoroughly cleaned on a rolling basis. The hotel renovation really has been a huge boost to the space and the decor is beautiful. Room is a little small but only in it for a wash and sleep.
Would I come back, absolutely!
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. Although we only had breakfast here each morning, it was one of the highlights of our holiday. As someone with gluten, dairy and nut allergies, eating away from home can be quite worrying. Chef Alejandro was absolutely fantastic. On our first morning, he personally walked me around the entire breakfast buffet, explaining exactly what I could and couldn't eat. He took the time to answer my questions and made sure I felt completely safe and confident with my choices. His kindness, knowledge and attention to detail were exceptional, and I can't thank him enough for making breakfast such a relaxing experience. The hotel itself was lovely, spotlessly clean, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Every member of staff we met was friendly, professional and always happy to help. A huge thank you to Chef Alejandro and all the team for making our stay so enjoyable. I would happily recommend this hotel, especially to anyone with food allergies or dietary requirements Also our room was amazing, so modern and clean. We've actually stayed in this hotel 3 times before the makeover but its even nicer now.
We are currently staying at Mediterranean Palace Hotel in Tenerife, and so far we have had a very positive experience.
The hotel is very clean, beautiful, and offers excellent facilities. Its location is fantastic, with easy access to the beach and other nearby amenities. The quality and variety of the food have been excellent, and we are very satisfied with the service and the professionalism of the staff.
We would especially like to thank Martina. She has been incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. Her guidance and friendly attitude have made our stay even more enjoyable.
I would also like to mention an incident that occurred during our stay, as it demonstrated the hotelβs excellent sense of responsibility and care for its guests. While playing volleyball, my wife was accidentally injured and suffered a nose injury that caused bleeding. The hotel staff responded immediately and professionally. First aid was provided without delay, and her condition was carefully checked.
We were truly impressed by the level of care and concern shown by the staff. Martina personally came to speak with my wife and made sure she was feeling better. The hotel team continued to check on her wellbeing and did everything possible to ensure that she was comfortable and safe. We would like to sincerely thank Martina and the entire team for their support and professionalism.
The only thing that disappointed us was the swimming pool policy. We are a group of eight people enjoying our holiday together, and we purchased inflatable swim rings to use in the pool. However, we were informed that they are not permitted. Ball games are also not allowed in the pool area. We understand the reason for prohibiting ball games, as they may disturb other guests, but we were surprised by the restriction on inflatable swim rings.
Over the years, we have stayed in many hotels in different countries, ranging from family-friendly resorts to luxury five-star properties. Despite our extensive travel experience, we have never encountered a restriction on the use of inflatable swim rings in a hotel swimming pool. For this reason, we found this policy surprising and somewhat disappointing. Having invested a significant amount of money in this holiday, we had hoped to enjoy the pool facilities more fully and create wonderful memories with our family and friends.
I have tried to write this review in a fair and honest way, highlighting both the positive and negative aspects of our experience. My intention is not simply to criticize but to provide useful information for future guests so they can make a fully informed decision.
In my opinion, the restriction on inflatable swim rings is one of the few negative aspects of this hotel, and I believe future guests should be aware of it before booking. This allows everyone to decide for themselves whether this policy is important to them.
Despite this issue, we are very happy with our stay so far and truly appreciate the hard work of all the hotel staff. We hope that management may consider reviewing this policy in the future. Overall, we would recommend this hotel to others and would like to thank the entire team for their hospitality, excellent service, great food, cleanliness, and outstanding sense of responsibility toward their guests.S Mirabedini
We've just returned from our fifth stay at the Mediterranean Palace, and once again it was absolutely fantastic. We keep coming back because it's such a wonderful hotel. The location is unbeatable, with direct access to the beach and everything you need close by. The hotel is always spotlessly clean and well maintaine. Every member of staff is warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The pool area is beautiful, and the facilities for children are excellent, making it the perfect destination for families. We'd especially like to mention Keilly Gomez. We've known Keilly from when she worked in the restaurant, and now she's in the hotel shop. She is such a genuinely kind, friendly, and caring person. She always takes the time to chat with us and is absolutely fantastic with our children, who adore her. Seeing Keilly has become one of the highlights of every holiday. She's a real credit to the Mediterranean Palace and helps make every stay even more special. Thank you to everyone at the Mediterranean Palace for another amazing holiday. We can't wait to return for our sixth visit!
