Hotel Sir Anthony

This hotel was very disappointing From moment you enter the lobby / reception its very dull & dark With offer of room facilities, cheap non perfumed soap not even a shower cap or shampoo until you complain but you shouldn’t have to ask in a so called 5 star hotel ! menus looked very limited its a sit down 3 course meal very old fashioned mostly oaps that sit there all night drinking wine. breakfast sit down couldn't even get a drink of orange with out them saying sit down & bringing it over, and having to wait 10 minutes for it so we decided to go to hotel next door where its self serve buffet was lovely. This hotel bring food over no good when you just want a quick breakfast and get going .Some people dont want to sit around all day, not our cup of tea. for the price we paid was definitely not worth it, very expensive! we only stay in five star hotels all around the world but this is definitely not 5 star.
No evening entertainment Cleaning outside on terrace metal steps and small pools not good and were wet most of the time very dangerousi had a towel on the steps outside all the time we stayed not once was it removed or replaced so no one cleaned outside on our terrace No drinks menus at bar with ingredients listed , some of the staff need training in how to make cocktails first evening a guy made them and they were fine then second evening a young lady looked worried when i ordered same cocktail and disappeared in back came out with supposedly same cocktail but it tasted completely different and different colour obviously didn’t have a clue. There was only one evening they had a lady singing but you had to pay for it with a different meal ? they rang our room 3 times to see if we wanted to pay for it ! Why should we have to pay in a five star hotel for one nights so called entertainment we walked past it and it was very poor. We would stay next door rather than here food, and rooms in hotel next door are lovely, in the past we have stayed there wished we had this time , we will not stay again they are penny pinching on quite a few things products in rooms, no entertainment in evening you have to go elsewhere , no water each day unless you complain, No decent toiletries in room on arrival One evening we heard a constant flow of water from next door's room this kept us awake we ended up ringing reception at 3 in morning they had to go inside next doors room and the pool on terrace tap had been left on all night ! i think this hotel needs a better manager and new ideas, or its not attracting the right clientele unless they want to carry on like they are living in the 80s era looks ok from outside but looks can be very deceiving. (would not recommend) we have stayed numerous times in the sister hotels and enjoyed it but this hotel a total let down .

Second visit to this amazing hotel!!

We had the most wonderful stay at Sir Anthony in Tenerife. Our ground-floor room with direct pool access was absolutely beautiful — spotless, stylishly designed and incredibly comfortable. Everything about the hotel felt classy, elegant and effortlessly luxurious.

The staff were exceptional and made our stay even more special. They were warm, attentive and genuinely friendly, with a particular mention for Lis, who was absolutely fabulous. Nothing was too much and this was the wonderful attitude of ALL staff we met at the hotel.

What we loved most was the atmosphere. Although Sir Anthony is right in the heart of the lively Playa de las Américas, once you are inside the hotel it feels wonderfully peaceful and tranquil — a real oasis away from the bustle.

There was only one very minor thing we would change: our towel rack was positioned in the toilet area rather than the main bathroom space. It’s a tiny detail and certainly didn’t detract from what was otherwise a fantastic experience.

We had the best time and would happily return. A beautiful, sophisticated hotel with wonderful staff and a truly relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended.
