I was disappointed with how the hotel handled an item I accidentally left behind after our stay. I tried contacting the hotel several times by both telephone and email, but nobody got back in touch with me. Eventually, after repeatedly trying to contact them myself, I managed to speak to someone and was simply told that that it had not been found. I doubt anyone ever checked. It has unfortunately left a very disappointing impression of the hotel’s customer service after our stay.
This is a good hotel, with excellent staff who go above and beyond. The bar staff in particular are a credit to the hotel; they work so hard.
This was our second visit, our previous being two years ago. We were pleased with our room. Comfy bed and a great shower. A little shabby round the edges, but we slept well so have no complaints.
Food here is good. There is lots of choice and the ala carte options are fantastic. We were disappointed tho that H10 have stripped back the number of times you can book an ala carte from 2 visits per week to just 1. Feels a bit tight for the cost of the holiday.
The hotel is feeling a bit tired. Chipped furniture and paintwork, dirty carpets in the hallways. The pool is in need of some attention too; missing and broken tiles, crumbling concrete, and black tide mark in places. Didn’t spoil our holiday at all, we love how big and deep the pool is and there are always plenty of sunbeds, it just felt that some investment is needed.
We enjoyed our two weeks and have a lovely holiday overall. Lots of returning guests here - we saw lots of familiar faces from two years ago - but not sure we’d return again.
H10 Conquistador, Playa de las Americas,Tenerife 👎👎😡😡😡😡 Room 119 First Floor 👎👎😡😡😡😡 Not Fit For Purpose. In our opinion this Hotel is not a four **** hotel far from it a *** at most we must have been given the crappiest / tiniest room / with an unusable balcony which is not fit for purpose in room 119 and in this room the tv was broken the safe didn’t work and when we reported this to the hotel reception they were quite rude with our complaints and as for the balcony it was an absolute joke it’s not fit for purpose please look at the attached photos you would have to lift the chairs and the table in the air over your head to get around to the other side of the table to sit on the other chair this balcony in room 119 is an absolute joke there is no way you could use this balcony and enjoy it or even relax on this ridiculous crappy balcony the balcony is totally unusable not fit for purpose and what a lovely view from the balcony and from inside the room the unsafe rusty fire escape which we would also say is not fit for its purpose if you had to use this fire escape in an emergency your very likely get tetanus from the incredibly sharp and jagged rusty hand rail on the fire escape.
Who ever reads this review and your going to H10 Conquistador, Playa de las Americas,Tenerife and if you get this room 119 this review is what awaits you in this room 119 👎😡😡😡😡 no kettles or irons in the rooms no free water on the half board option with your evening meal and a lovely view of a dangerous rusty fire escape from your room 119.
And who in there right mind would put a glass door on the shower room / toilet door of the bedroom that faces the bed every time someone uses the toilet at night the light from the shower / toilet flood lights the bedroom it wakes up the other person who is in bed asleep this glass door in the bedroom is absolutely ridiculous stupid idea and should not be there it should be changed to a standard plain wooden door so it doesn’t flood light the bedroom when someone uses the toilet in the middle of the night and then wakes the other person up who is asleep this glass door ruined every nights sleep of our holiday.
This was our first time and our last time staying in a H10 hotel anywhere in the world we would near ever book a H10 hotel ever again or ever recommend a H10 hotels due to the lack of maintenance and not feeling safe in this hotel or even other H10 hotels if there standard of maintenance is like this if there was ever a fire in this hotel and you have to use the fire escape from our floor when looking at the unsafe rusty fire escape from our balcony and if having to crab the rusty fire escape handrail that would severely lacerate and likely pierce your hands when crabbing hold of the broken rusty metal it looks incredibly sharp and jagged hand rail if a person was sliding their hand along a corroded rail or grabbing it during a slip can suffer deep cuts torn flesh or puncture wounds causing a tetanus infection any deep cut or puncture wound from that outdoor fire escape especially were it’s been exposed to dirt and the elements carries a risk of tetanus which is a life-threatening bacterial infection that attacks the nervous system.
I would be very concerned if this hotel H10 Conquistador has more unsafe practices and the lack of maintenance at this hotel. H10 Conquistador, Playa de las Americas, Tenerife.
With all our concern above these concerns have totally ruined our holiday staying in this unsafe hotel H10 Conquistador, Playa de las Americas,Tenerife we save very hard all through the year to have our only one holiday a year and it’s been ruined with the lack of sleep due to the bathroom / toilet glass door flood lighting the bedroom in the middle of the night as mentioned above and not feeling safe in this Hotel looking at this hotels unsafe very rusty fire escape we couldn’t wait to check out of this hotel and feel safe again.
Amazing hotel. Brilliant accessible room. Brilliant staff and photographer made our holiday really special and captured some beautiful photos.
Stayed for 6 nights in August with 2 kids ages 11 and 8. Overall we had a great time - the hotel location is great with a sea view which is lovely to see every day - I loved seeing the palm trees and surfers. Lots within walking distance - shops, pharmacy, cafes and restaurants. 5 mins walk to shuttle pickup/ drop off for Siam Park. Gate leads to seafront where there is an ATM machine, Starbucks, cafe and few shops.
The rooms were good and clean - AC, fan, balcony overlooking pool and ent - note here that the ents are 6 nights a week and end around 1030/11pm which was generally OK but if you have small kids that meed quite to sleep thats worth thinking about - or ask for a room facing inland. The bathroom was good and overall clean. Lots of pillows which I liked as could choose!
Food generally good for all inclusive (we did half board) which I'd recommend as we did have one lunch there (offered for free as we signed up to H10 loyalty club) and its much same food as evening but less choice. Note: with half board you do not get any drinks included.
Pools good - our kids prefer a busier pool with more kids but we liked the calmer more adult atmosphere. Note: Kids not allowed to play with a ball or toys in pool.to you.
You can rent towels for e15 per towel (cash needed) and this is refunded when you give them back.
Staff all lovely and friendly.
Taxi to Puerto colon (boat trips to see whales and dolphins) approx £e10-15 and 15 mins drive.
Would recommend overall.
