You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, which include 2 outdoor swimming pools, a fitness centre and bicycles to rent. This aparthotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, an arcade/games room and gift shops/newsstands. Getting to nearby attractions is a breeze with the local area shuttle (surcharge).
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The Green Garden resort is an oasis of calm and excellence in the otherwise bustling atmosphere of Tenerife. We visited late July / into August. A family of four with 15 and 11 year olds.
There are many positive aspects to this hotel:
If there were areas where things could be even better, they would be:
Off-site tips.
Finally, the staff collectively deserve massive praise. From the welcome to advice, calling taxis, access to the gym, late check-out as well as a strong cleaning team and simply superb bar and restaurant staff…every interaction was classy. I even got one waitress to tell me what song the band were playing (it was Spanish so I could not tell).
You get the impression they are a close team and they really care…I’ve been in bigger all-inclusives where you can literally see workers avoiding proper work. Whoever leads this team does a good job in setting expectations and all the staff are a credit to ethos of the hotel.
Coming to write this review, I inadvertently looked at availability to stay again at the end of the summer holidays - which really says it all! First time to Tenerife and this hotel was an absolute gem of a find. We opted for a two bedroom villa with private pool which was absolutely beautiful. Kids had their own room upstairs and we essentially had our own suite downstairs. Private enough to feel like our own little space, but close enough for kids to easily come to us when needed.
Hotel & restaurant staff were absolute first class. Couldn’t do enough to help or assist (even coming to the rescue by climbing over a neighbouring balcony when we accidentally locked ourselves out by the private pool!)
We opted to upgrade to AI by the day, as we wouldn’t need it everyday. Totally worth it. Great choices for all meals - we pretty much ate at the restaurant/buffet every day and never tired of the food choices. Even our smallest picky eater ate VERY well, which is normally not the case on holiday. Snack room was small but had more than enough and food constantly being replenished. Great choices of fresh sandwiches / baguettes, pastries, fruit, crisps, peanuts, drinks etc. don’t think we actually felt hungry at all!
Pool area was just wonderful. We actually feel when (as we WILL be coming back) we stay again, we probably wouldn’t bother with a private pool as we were more than happy to spend the day around the main pool. Always sun beds available - we are a family of 4 and always found beds together, during summer holidays too so I imagine the busiest time of year. Great activities for kids and adults - husband and daughter both took part in water polo and all enjoyed the foam party.
Evening entertainment was fine, both kids & adults enjoyed most evenings. Did start a little late, but it’s a holiday so didn’t mind the late nights too much.
Grounds are immaculately kept and beautiful. Pictures just don’t do it justice.
Every positive review must have some feedback to work on - so here is mine:
Aside from toilet roll and shower gel (not great shower gel), nothing is supplied…. No table tissues, kitchen roll, not even a tea bag! Lovely nespresso machine is provided - but no pods. You can buy them from the on site shop at the very inflated price of €1 per POD! The shop is extremely overpriced and I feel it does take advantage of holiday makers. A bottle of shampoo was €7 which is madness. Bag of crisps was €4.50… I could go on. I feel like for the price we paid, the basics should be supplied - even if not restocked, they should still be there. We were given 1 refill bottle to fill up from the water refill next to the shop - but one bottle between a family of 4 did not go very far, so we had to buy our own water. Also, towels for the room are worth reviewing - one small ‘body’ towel is not enough when you have long hair to dry! We had to end up using hand towels to wrap our hair in.
Not sure what can be done about this particular issue but there are alot, and I mean ALOT of wasps. They were absolutely everywhere around the pool - main pool and private. Felt like we were constantly fishing them out of the pool which wasn’t pleasant. Worth noting for those who would have an issue with this, as I used to have a Phobia of wasps which I had treated and prior to this, the wasp issue would have absolutely ruined the holiday for me. They were EVERYWHERE.
All in all - wonderful stay and we absolutely will be back! Thank you for everything.
Perfect location, quiet, and very family orientated, it's a 20 min walk to beach or you can ask the front desk to get you a taxi which has always arrived in minutes. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing such an amazing family vibe even from all the staff, one staff member stands out the most, he works in the restaurant /bar, name is Oscar I could not rate him more. Ask him for water/Antony's Drink😁. The rooms are so amazing it is unreal. I walked in the room expecting a 1 floor apartment and I was shocked when there was a downstairs too with another room and another on suite toilet and garden to enjoy the sun also. The beds are very comfortable. The price was more than fair being all inclusive considering we are a family 5 and kids eat and drink a lot. The resort and rooms including the restaurant is very clean and well maintained, no issues from our end, a nice little touch with the little tiny birds that fly around the restaurant now and then, they love everyone and are not camera shy, even with them flying around it makes this place magical and unique, even the birds want to be here. the food is also absolutely amazing, always something to offer even when the restaurant is not serving, they have a snack bar open all the time with all the nibbles you need encluding drinks. Until the restaurant opens again. Pictures do not give this resort justice, it's more beautiful in person if we could give Green Garden Eco Resort 10 stars we would (we added 10 stars in title). Thank you for making our stay amazing, we will be back.
This is the third time we’ve stopped at this hotel as my son loves it here. It’s his happy place and he’s already asked to come back in 2027!
This hotel is lovely. It’s small, not too busy and immaculately kept. There are a small army of cleaners, gardeners and wait staff making sure it’s clean and tidy. All staff are lovely, and go out their way to help. I wasn’t allowed to carry a tray of drinks to my table from the bar because ‘ I was on holiday and it’s not my job!’
Rooms are large and look like they do in the photos. The aircon in rooms is very good too.
This hotel is great for those with younger children (primary school or younger) with loads of activities put on throughout the day. My son has additional needs and was welcomed and invited on all activities, which the way it should be (but often isn’t). The ladies running the kids entertainment work very hard and are great at their jobs.
The hotel put on a free bus to Siam Park and the beach each day, otherwise you’ll need a hire car or grab a taxi to get around as the hotel is outside of the main resort. For us this is a positive as it’s lovely and quiet as it’s surrounded by a golf course. Taxis are around €7 to and from the main resort and reception are happy to call them for you.
I’ve not rated it as 5 star as there’s a few things the hotel could do to make it even better, but none of these things should put anyone off from staying here. They’re just suggestions to provide a better experience.
Safes - there are no safes in the rooms. The hotel has a safe room near reception where you can hire a safe for a fee. It’s been years since I’ve stayed in a hotel that doesn’t have free safes in rooms.
Shower room - once you’ve checked out, the hotel does provide a shower room to allow you to get ready before you leave if you’re not being picked up until late. The shower rooms are HOT, especially the ladies when hair dryers have been used. They also do not provide any towels in these rooms, so you have to use your own ones that are probably not very clean when you’re going home! It would be good for the hotel to provide some towels and to put some aircon in these rooms.
AIl Inclusive - AI ends at midday on your day of checkout, regardless of the time you arrived. For us we arrived close to midnight. The hotel did provide us with sandwiches, fruit and a drink when we arrived (which is really lovely), but cut us off at midday on our last day. They did provide a voucher for us to get lunch, but only because I asked at checkout. I knew they did this, but others won’t so could miss out. It’s not a one off either as I’ve had to ask about this every year. It smacks of penny pinching and isn’t a good last impression - this should be built into the check out process to check when AI guests are leaving and if they need lunch if they didn’t get it on their first day.
Overall, I absolutely would recommend this hotel and I’m sure we’ll be back for our 4th visit next year!
This was our first trip to Tenerife with 7yo & 14yo. This hotel is amazing!!! We had 2 bedroom villa with private pool which was excellent choice! Rooms are very big, clean daily. Outside pools are very clean, plenty of sun beds (you still get people leaving towels on them but wondering away which was really annoying). Restaurant has good selection of food, mini bar at pool is great as well. My little one is horrible with eating on holidays but here supposedly he had something on every meal! Oscar from restaurant with everyone else are amazing! The only person putting me off was I Lucas… went down on the day we arrived to ask question about helping me to organize birthday cake which I wanted to fully paid for it as my son’s birthday was already few weeks back and this trip was his birthday present but felt pushed away and nothing really got organized. Apart from this one situation everything was amazing. We had great 10 days in here. Hotel is very close to airport and promenade which is ideal. Shuttle bus to beach daily was great! There is old small market at hotel which is great selling essential, food, drinks, souvenirs. Due to my business I travel a lot and to be honest this hotel will be on my top 10 list. Even kids want to come back one day! Highly recommended!
