Getting to nearby attractions is a breeze with the local area shuttle (surcharge).
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
First of all the good points: beautiful kept gardens, lovely warm pool, spacious accommodation, hotel and rooms spotlessly clean, plenty of sunbeds - no need to reserve, lots available all day. Animation team do a fine job. Showers available all day if you have to check out hours before your flight. Not so good points: food very poor. It's never warm, cold plates, very repetitive starters and sweet courses. Drink service at dinner is very hit and miss. They ask what you want as you enter and bring it to you. 3 times out of 7 it never came so we had to remind them. Then if you want a second drink, you have to go all through it again. The service in restaurant is poor. Evening entertainment is average at best. Would I go again - no. Did I enjoy it - yes, but it wasn't worth the £2K I paid for 7 days.
We stayed at green garden resort for a week at the end of September with our 1 year old daughter. It was honestly amazing. So many things included in the all inclusive from drinks to the snack bar to food. The pool is great with plenty of loungers for everyone and even has a mini market for essentials and baby items. Mini disco and play area for the kids, my daughter loved the foam party. They even gave her a gift for her birthday and the staff were so friendly and helpful especially Alba or Alva I think her name was, she was amazing. We got the family suite and it was bigger than expected. Rooms cleaned every day and the kitchen is great if wanting to relax in the room or self catering. Reception was extremely helpful always friendly when coming and going. Resort is a little further out of the way but the resort offers a free shuttle service to the beach front and Siam park at certain times of the day, however we just got a 10 minutes taxi or 20 minutes walk to the beach or supermarkets. Different themed foods every night but lots to chose from so easy to find something you will like and entertainment was fabulous. Would absolutely stay again and recommend !!! couldn’t fault it at all and even other families/couples staying were so friendly and respectful. We had the best time.
We are not normally ones to complain, and it’s important to us that the positives don’t get overlooked. We were immediately impressed when we arrived. The hotel itself is lovely, with a chilled and relaxing atmosphere, and we were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a pool room.
The food was good, with different themed evenings throughout our stay which gave plenty of variety. I’m vegetarian and was pleasantly surprised by the choice available.
Unfortunately, there were a few things that let the hotel down for us…
The pool in our room was quite dirty when we arrived and needed to be cleaned, so we had to ask for this to be sorted. We also found a used pair of men’s underwear in the wardrobe, which was obviously unpleasant and made us question how thoroughly the room had been checked before our arrival.
More seriously, the light switch in the bathroom had broken and gone into the wall. When my partner went to use it, he received an electric shock to his hand. We reported this and whilst the staff were quick to rectify the issues we raised, there wasn’t really any acknowledgement or apology, which was disappointing given the seriousness of the fault.
The air conditioning was also only working in the upstairs bedroom rather than throughout the room, which was disappointing given the warm temperatures.
Overall, we enjoyed many aspects of our stay and think the hotel has a lot going for it. However, the cleanliness and maintenance issues, particularly the electrical fault, were disappointing and not what we would expect from a hotel of this standard. With a little more attention to detail and better room checks this could be a really lovely place to stay.
Travelled as a family of 3 staying at a 2 bedroom villa with pool. Well equipped villa with balcony and terrace overlooking the quiet road near the golf course of Las Americas. Upstairs had the lounge, kitchen, bathroom with shower and twin bed. Downstairs had a comfortable double bed with bathroom and good powerful shower with terrace and the private pool. The villas are situated next to each other, we were number 9 in the middle. The room was cleaned every day and was spacious for us to use during our one week stay. The furniture outside was a little dated and worn. From check in at 12.30pm our villa wasn’t ready but we only had 1 hour to wait until it was. We had a look around the hotel and its location is spot on for a relaxing holiday. Nice sized swimming pools and a well thought out all inclusive package during the day and evening - you wouldn’t starve and die of thirst here! The food was varied during times of the day and many drinks available through all inclusive. Your wrist band would open the door of the villa and show staff what package you had. The quality of the drinks was excellent including local alcoholic beverages and soft drinks were of good quality also. Staff here were very friendly , worked very hard and always quick with the drink orders especially at busy times - really a credit to the hotel - many thanks for making our stay memorable! We enjoyed the varied entertainment program and the different themed nights at the restaurant. The food was regularly replaced , maybe some might complain about the choice but I preferred the choices being limited as it’s always fresher and the salads were plentiful. The breakfast was exceptional - fresh orange juice, freshly cooked English breakfast , nice pastries , good tasting coffee - the best I have had at any hotel I have stayed in abroad. We hired a car from the airport for 1 week which was cheap and fully insured via Cicar. I would recommend visiting Teide national park and also the whale spotting trip from Colon near Adeje. We would certainly consider returning back here and had what we wanted - a week holiday in the sun, relaxing and having lovely food and drinks - what holidays are all about and Green Garden Eco Resort delivered on it all.
First visit to this resort. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, everyone including the cleaning staff would always smile and say hello. Grounds well kept, clean and tidy. Breakfast buffet freshly cooked and a very good selection of foods. Only complaint was our villa. Number 8. It clearly needs refreshing. Toilet seat chipped, black marks, bathroom sink previously broken and poorly repaired. Cockroaches in downstairs bedroom, staff arrived on penultimate day of holiday to spray area.
Wallpaper peeling away from walls. All very simple fixes which would make the villa more inviting. Downstairs air con unit boxed in which limits the coolness output. Downstairs curtains had dried blood on them and upstairs curtains were dirty. Outside gates to patio windows could not be locked upstairs or down. Some plates/bowls were chipped. When cooking the space to place dishes to drain in so small. Bed very comfortable. Noticed when checking room before leaving there was a red light flashing on the bed leg. Quick google said it’s a bed bug detector used in hotels, another google stated if it is flashing red it has detected bed bugs but I’m not sure really. I was not bitten in bed so maybe info online is incorrect.
Would consider staying again but not in number 8
