If your in the retreat breakfast next to the pool look out for Lucy a lovely lady who is nice, very helpful and friendly.

Another Wonderful Stay
This hotel always lives up to expectations. This is our 4 trip as family in the retreat.Pool service is amazing, the beach is lovely and plenty of walking opportunities to get your steps in.The standard of food in all the restaurants is excellent and has improved this year.The tapas at the retreat has improved markedly from last year too. The staff are all lovely and attentive without any resentment, the quality of the grounds are immaculate. If you like a gym the facilities are excellent and often very quiet. The new full board allowance has taken a bit of getting used to. The holiday is super relaxed and never a rush to get a space or a lounger.We were able to pre-book all of our restaurants too which was nice knowing we were able to visit all the restaurants. We will be back The Macrae’s
2nd time coming - it’s lovely.
We stayed in 2025 and things were good, we’re here in 2026 and things are excellent. It was a 30 minute drive from Tenerife South airport, and we love having a rental car as the location is a little far from anything.
It’s a huge hotel, we stayed in the Retreat in 2025 and 2026. One thing I’d love changed is an ice cream machine at each of the family pools, as it’s a long walk to get our daughter an ice cream, and the single ice cream machine in the retreat seems to be out of service / empty when we go.
The rooms are large and clean, even at the basic level in the retreat. We’re Titanium Elite and during both visits had our space available upgrade request declined - so for that reason will likely try the Westin Marbella or Westin Costa Navarino next time as similar resort Bonvoy properties in Europe.
I would recommend this hotel for a family holiday - it’s a lovely hotel - beautiful.
Fantastic food and service
Food and service here was exceptional. Especially the service in El Mirador, I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Tenerife. Front desk, very friendly, all staff would go above and beyond.
