Situated next to the golf course Golf del Sur and with views to Spain's highest mountain, the Teide, this hotel is just a short stroll from the famous beach of Guincho. The small fishing village of Los Abrigos is within easy reach, the international airport of Tenerife South is in a distance of 4 km. The hotel offers 24-hour reception, concierge service, currency exchange, free WIFI in public areas, restaurant, bar, outdoor pool, children's pool, playground and luggage storage.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Absolutely — I’d include that as constructive feedback while keeping the review positive:
We had a great stay and were very happy with the accommodation. The apartment was modern, clean, comfortable and a good size for us. The large HD TV was a really pleasant surprise and was especially appreciated by the teenagers! We also loved having a spacious balcony and a decent, well-equipped kitchen.
The location was great, with plenty of parking available, which was very convenient as we had a hire car. The reception staff were extremely helpful and informative whenever we needed anything, and the cleaning staff were always polite and friendly.
There were just a couple of things that could be improved. The two boys using the living area would have preferred a separate bedroom rather than sleeping on the sofa bed, particularly for a week-long stay. We also found that the Wi-Fi signal was quite weak in the bedroom. If the bedroom door was closed, we could barely use the Wi-Fi, so we had to keep the door open whenever we wanted a reliable connection.
Aside from those points, everything was great. We really enjoyed our stay and found the accommodation modern, comfortable and very well suited to our holiday. We would happily stay again and recommend it to others.
Great for relaxing, apartments have everything you need and only a short bus ride to either Cristianos or playa las anericas
We recently stayed at Wyndham Golf del Sur as a family of 5, staying in one of the 2-bedroom Signature apartments. There is a lot to love about the quality of the accommodation itself, but several resort-level issues unfortunately put a dampener on our overall experience.
What We Loved The Signature Apartments: Absolutely stunning high-quality builds that completely knocked our socks off. We had a 2-bed apartment featuring our own hot tub, a spacious lounge/diner, great kitchen facilities, an outdoor BBQ (with gas supplied free of charge), and lovely outdoor seating.
Family-Friendly Tech: Having smart TVs with Netflix and Disney+ pre-enabled was a huge bonus for keeping the kids entertained while everyone was getting ready to head out.
Great Staff & Dining: The staff across the resort were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We also enjoyed eating at Zachary's restaurant - the food was lovely and very reasonably priced.
Security & Location: The site feels very safe and secure. It is close to all local amenities, and being near Aqualand was ideal for a fun, relaxed water park day without the intense rush and queues of Siam Park.
What Needs Improvement The Sunbed Situation: This was the biggest kicker for us. The daily "towel wars" were unbearable. Despite the resort advertising a strict policy against reserving beds, there is zero consistent policing and we never saw a single towel removed. Large groups simply exploit loopholes - like putting towels across 6 to 8 sunbeds and leaving one person behind to hold the entire row. We played by the rules, but by 9:15 AM almost every bed was gone. It creates an entitled atmosphere that really ruins the morning pool experience.
Resort Capacity & Entertainment: The communal grounds simply do not feel big enough for the number of apartments on site. While the evening entertainment itself is of good quality, the venue gets completely overwhelmed by large party groups, leaving very little room or atmosphere for smaller families.
Wi-Fi Connectivity: The Wi-Fi connection was very unstable during peak hours, even when using a wired connection.
Pest Issues: We had an issue with ants from the day we checked in. To their credit, housekeeping stayed right on top of it whenever reported, but it was an ongoing annoyance.
Final Thoughts As CLC members, we were genuinely disappointed by how crowded and poorly managed the communal amenities felt compared to the high standard of the accommodation. The Signature apartments are fantastic, but due to the overwhelming sunbed battles and resort congestion, we won't be returning to this particular location.
Had the Best time this year it was that good there was 65 of us, we’ve all booked up to go again next year, no problem getting Sunbeds , Very relaxed & friendly staff. Best sausage rolls & steak bakes from Sam’s bakery. Keep an eye out for Stuart though. We even created a WhatsApp Group called Tenerife Takeover 2026. See you in 2027.
Family of 4 with 2 children ages 10&6 who had a lovely week at this hotel. Grounds are beautifully kept and staff work hard to ensure rooms are immaculate. We had a problem mid week with a leaking air con unit which was fixed within 30 mins.
Pool area is clean and always plenty of sun beds avail, despite it being peak season.
Ate in Zachary’s a few times, evening meal was unreal despite being a little pricey, breakfast isn’t worth it in our option as there isn’t much choice but each to their own. All bar staff hard working and attentive.
Kids used the kids club a couple of the days and enjoyed it. Plenty of activities to keep them entertained. The ladies who help out are lovely, the gentleman however not so much. Arrived to pick my little one up from a movie and as it wasn’t finished he shouted “Get out, Get out! come back later” and marched me out of the door quite aggressively . I appreciate he has a part to play but I did not appreciate being spoken to like that infront of my children. He was quite rude and blunt on a few occasions with our little one also.
There isn’t much around the hotel but San Blas square is only a 10 min walk away which has a lovely, welcoming range of bars and restaurants and there is a bit stop just outside which will get you to Los Christianos for a couple of euros.
In all would absolutely stay here again…. Just maybe without using the kids club.
