I’ve just got home from a 5 night stay at this hotel. I’ve seen some negative reviews in regards to the large group of people staying, this was certainly not our experience. The large group was very polite and well mannered. Ofcourse it was busy but I would have expected that in August anyway. The staff had sectioned of an area of the restaurant to accommodate this group which worked really well. The hotel location itself is a short distance from many of the activities around Tenerife, most with a short bus/taxi ride away. You can book excursions inside the hotel or next door. The food was edible, I would have liked more choice but this has not affected my rating because I ate well everyday. The room was a good size and the hotel was clean. We didn’t experience the daytime entertainment for most of our stay as we was enjoying the excursions we booked. However we did experience it on our last day, there was a fantastic live singer, he sung a good variety of songs to accommodate all languages. Pool games which was well led. There was a DJ again playing a variety of of music, he was also amazing. Overall our stay was very pleasant and good value for money. I will be recommending this hotel and look forward to booking again in the future
A good hotel that has listened to its customer feedback. I was concerned about our stay after reading some awful reviews. Yes, there was a huge group staying, they were polite and did not affect our stay, if it wasn’t 167 guests from Senegal, it would’ve been 167 other guests and the hotel did a good job of managing meal times etc. We had a comfortable stay, room was huge, clean and had everything we could need. Location is not necessarily the best but a quick walk into San Blas or up to the Irish bar and we found a bit more of a vibe. Buses also go from right outside. The atmosphere around the pool was up and down, some days buzzing and some quiet. No problems with loungers even in the afternoon! We enjoyed the food, although at times it was like a school canteen, so we found ourselves going to a restaurant or two for a change. The biggest let down was after about 8pm each evening. The hotel just doesn’t have the entertainment side sorted. Shout out to Francisco and Loly who are lovely people and always had a smile when we were trying out our Spanish skills! Wouldn’t take the kids - there just wasn’t enough for them to do - no water slides, no kids mini disco, no real organised activities and the kids pool could do with a bit of an upgrade - even if they put a bucket type fountain in the middle or something.
Awful place, never again. Noisy, smelly, shabby rooms and no way 5*. Had the misfortune of using 2 exchange weeks here. We're used to Hilton resorts and expected like for like. We paid more for so called utilities here for a week than we pay for a 3 bed extended house (€75). At the moment being subjected to loud jungle music with whistle. We're on a low part of the flight path into TFS airport and just had an Easyjet plane abort it's landing above our building. We have a 2 bed spacious apartment. Clean but if you were a family of 6 wanting to self cater you've had it. Only 1 usable socket in kitchen with 2 rings on the hob. Note there is a €5 a day charge to use the kitchen. So called sofa is not even suitable for a child to sleep on. Very uncomfortable so dragged in chairs off the balcony as dining chairs were uncomfortable too. Limited kitchen tools and crockery. No drain cover over shower drain which is very smelly. Staff great sorted hairdryer not fixed to the wall and got 2 ring hob fixed. Also let us see a studio apartment. Not looking forward to another more than a week here. We're booked into a studio. Hopefully not by the road. Can't wait :/ Taken our complaint to Hilton Grand Vacation. Not heard anything back so looks like I've got to put my big girl pants on to endure another week.
lovely hotel wouldn't say was 5 star but good facilities room nice, if you like a room with a view upgrade, restaurant food very good staff were great especially jose in restaurant,never any problems getting a sunbed.location ok bit away from centre close to the airport. Bus to los christianos and los americas stops right outside.Panes flying over every 5mins but dident bother us good value all inclusive.well cleaned.
This was my second visit to Grand Muthu Golf Plaza Hotel and Spa this year. I loved it so much the first time, I had to go back. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and the staff are wonderful. I went all inclusive both times, and really enjoyed the food and drinks. I had a fabulous large one bedroom apartment over looking the pool and sea with gorgeous views. It was so big, I kept getting lost in it, even during my second visit. The staff are so nice, from the hotel general manager to the ladies collecting trash. I had the pleasure to meet the hotel general manager the first time I was there. It is obvious that he really cares about his guests, and loves his hotel. Thanks to Christian, the assistant manager who is always there for whatever I may want. The reception staff is so nice, and always says hello when I walk by. I really love the glass of Cava and truffles they give at check in, such a nice welcome. The restaurant and bar staff are excellent. They work hard, and are very happy to serve you. The liquor is local brands in all inclusive, but it is good. They have all types of mixers available for self serve at the pool bar, so you can pretty much make any drink that you want. I googled some drink recipes, and made some fantastic tasting drinks. At the pool bar, they have self serve beer, so no waiting for a cold beer on a hot day. The cleaning and maintenance staff are very nice. They made sure that I had everything I needed and always cheerfully gave me anything extra that I asked for. The pool is large, gorgeous, very clean, and pool towels big and cozy. In the rooms, beds are very comfortable, internet works great, and there is always plenty of hot water in the shower. The spa is wonderful, massages excellent, and I really love the pool/spa with all the water jets. Spa staff are also very nice. I will definitely be back!
