This hotel is top top. Staff deserve some credit as they're really friendly and hard working, always with a smile. Rooms are really beautiful. I really enjoyed the beach walk along the hotel for my morning walks. Food is nice and plentiful. There's variety to choose for. Also from drinks, nice cocktails and coffees within the all inclusive. There're also premium drinks and food with an extra cost, but that's pretty normal. Entertainment is great. I've never visited a hotel with so many activities for adults, children. We enjoyed the football tournament in the evenings. We'll come back.

I’ll caveat this review by saying I’m well travelled with my for the last 30 years ranging from 2-5 star resorts and hotels. I was a single dad with two kids aged 12 and 9. We booked a family master suite all inclusive for over £3000plus for a week.

First impressions:- 4 stars. Impressive atrium and nicely maintained. However, little in the way of air con in the check in area. Very humid and warm. Checkin:- 1 star. Arrived midday and didn’t get our room until 4.30pm. I’d requested a family master suite with two separate beds for the kids via jet 2 on multiple occasions in a quiet location. Message didn’t get through to the check in. Allocated room was not to spec and had to have room reallocated. Staff were a little begrudging and non sympathetic. Had to change in toilets. Staff:- overall 3 star. Mostly professional and well trained apart from check in which is very slow and feels under trained. Room:- 3 star. Main king bed in separate suite and sofa bed and additional single bed in lounge area therefore no lounge space to relax. Asked for quiet location, but was allocated a room opposite kids pool. Very noisy. Mini bar was minimal, replenished daily, 3 cans of pop and 2 San Miguel cans, with no water allocated on any days. Pretty poor. Housekeeping was very good and room was clean, but bathroom anmenties were not replenished all week. Had to use own toiletries. Air con decent. Atmosphere:- 3 star. Around pool areas it’s chaos and very noisy. Very loud dance music and PA systems in regular use throughout the day into the evening stopping around 6pm. even away from kids pool. Young kid orientated, my 9’year old liked the water park section, but 12 year old not impressed. Infinity pool was nice and quiet(ish) with an 18 year old limit but kids seen on a few occasions without any enforcement. Teen club:- 2 star. Was empty most of the time but my 9.5 year old was not allowed in, so he was very disappointed. I realise it’s a 10 year old and above but no concessions made even when empty. Regular events he was allowed in on for PS5 tournament. Staff were unsympathetic. Arcade areas:- 2 star. Decent variety but hugely overpriced at 2 euros for everything. I’d expect no charge or 1 euro max. You’ll get through 10 euros in about 10 minutes. Pool tables were good to have but unbalanced and need of maintenance.

Food:- overall 3 star in restaurants. More of a mid tier cruise ship quality with often used cheap ingredient in main buffet. Very crowded and chaotic at times. Understaffed on occasions.
1 star around the pool. No sunbed service or options which I’d expect for 5 star alleged hotel. Only buffet in main hotel. Nothing in Enchanted coffee bar was inclusive and limited opening times not for breakfast.. Drinks stations around pool were unmanned and self service and unclean and poorly maintained, with limited selection for alcohol to San Miguel only. Slushies and pop for the kids included. Buffet:- 3 star down to 2 star. Breakfast was 3 star. Decent selection but quality variable and hot options were often dry and not hot enough. Fresh orange juice was chargeable at 3 euros( not inclusive which is ridiculous ) Lunch and evening:- 2 star. 50% decent but same issues as above. À la Carte:- Il Paradiso:- 2 star. Not premium. Pizza was too heavy, rich and sloppy. Better pizzas at a Pizza express. Kids not impressed. Service was slow and atmosphere was mid. Ladon:- 5 star. Excellent steaks and atmosphere. Felt premium. Service excellent.

Evening shows:- 3 star. 2 attended. Obviously very talented performers but production was random and difficult to follow story wise and theming. Also really loud. Seat layout was okay but over crowded feel.

Bars:- Lobby bar:- 3 star; very crowded with okay cocktail selection but beer choice for all inclusive was just cheap San Miguel; other bottled beers were extra. Sports bar:- 3 star. Nice layout and theming but beer choice limited as above.

Jet 2 rep was largely absent.

Excusion choices:- 2 stars. Way overpriced and timings were limited.

Overall:- For the high costs, all inclusive with lots of hidden extra costs, this is not a premium hotel as advertised as 5 stars it’s more a lower end 4 star based purely on layout and cleanliness and facilities. Skews for younger families so not ideal for kids aged 10 and above. It’s very busy and at times chaotic so not relaxing, so set expectations if you don’t have kids. I wouldn’t return. Last year we did a jet2 indulgent escape in Rhodes; it was £2k more but more in line with a 4-5 star experience.
