Best Resort I have visited
What a resort for a holiday! Everything is very well presented and of a high quality. Check in was very smooth and relaxing. Our hotel suite was amazing. The Royal Level facilities were amazing. The restaurants and food were of a very high standard. All the staff were very attentive and polite. Would 100% recommend staying here and will definitely be staying here again.
Loredana the best of the best!
Our server Loredana was amazing went over and beyond even made some great suggestions, the food at the breeze Gastro Pool bar at Barcelo is a must try. Definitely highly recommended and we’re already planning on coming back next year. We enjoyed it so much. If you’re looking for an awesome, great tableside service. Loredana is your gal!

Barcelo Royal Level - Worth it ?
Having stayed at a Barceló at Bávaro Beach in the Dominican Republic, we were really looking forward to this stay. We are here currently, August 2026. Our room at Royal Level is probably one of the best locations across the whole resort , the rooms are large & spacious.
The staff are ALL very friendly, but the resort is now very busy due to the time of year, so there are queues for food at the buffets and also at the bars, which seem understaffed given how busy it is. I have no doubt the queues and the understaffing are connected.
I must admit I was extremely disappointed with the lack of attention to what is supposed to be an upgrade. The mini bar is stocked once only — that's day one — and it's just soft drinks and two bottles of Heineken. That seems a bit tight for a whole week, and if you ask to get it restocked you are charged, which to me isn't ALL inclusive. We weren't really bothered, but others may want to be aware if you fancy a few drinks on your balcony one night.
We took a taxi into Los Cristianos for the morning, which cost us 20 euros but made a nice change of scene. We also did the jet ski with Ocean Jet Ski, only a 10-minute taxi from the hotel, and it really is to be recommended.
The food was OK. There's a choice of food in the Royal part, but we tended to use the main buffet as it had a wider selection for us.
For poolside sunbeds we went to the Royal part, but I can see sunbed wars erupting elsewhere.
I can't fault the staff generally. The only issues we had were a part-cleaned room one day, which was a disappointment after a day by the pool, and the fact that the phones in the room have no information on how to contact reception. That seems a big gap to us if you're a long way from reception. For us the Royal level was woth it but solely due to the time of year , so may not be for everyone.
