The Barceló Tenerife 5*, which has been completely renovated in 2022, has 272 fully equipped rooms, a buffet restaurant, 2 à la carte restaurants, several bars, as well as a concert hall. The hotel also offers a range of exciting options for leisure and relaxation, including a lake for kayaking, a climbing wall, a gym and a sports area with beach volleyball, basketball, tennis. There are 7 swimming pools, two of them for children, one for adults only and one heated. The hotel is located in the south of Tenerife near the San Blas beach; It has a nature reserve attached to it; close to the Golf del Sur golf course; nearest town Los Abrigos 2 km; nearest airport Tenerife Sur Reina Sofia 8 km.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Situated in Golf de Sur within a nature reserve, offering a peaceful stay for holidaymakers looking for a relaxing getaway or for guests looking for adventure. Just ten minutes away from the Airport, this All-Inclusive only hotel is only a three-minute walk from the beach.
We had a really lovely time here at Barcelo Tenerife everything was great, staff were all lovely, everything you could of needed was available Would totally Recommend We will be back
Good and bad, firstly the good. The staff are friendy and hardworking. The food was pretty good for the standard of the hotel with plenty of choice.
The bad, the hotel is very close to the airport. If you are expecting a quiet stay choose somewhere else as planes fly very close and land every 10 mininutes.
The hotel has a no reservation policy for its sunbeds, unfortunatly it is not enforced and most are reserved by 10am. Lifeguards hardly ever seen at the pool I was at.
The hotel beach is a dump (see photos). I spoke to reception about the state of the beach and they said that the council own it and its nothing to do with them. The hotel still lists the hotel beach club on its maps.
The room was not a bad size but was starting to get tired. Bath taps did not work. Small niggles which mounted up over the week and started to become annoying. Cockroaches in the room wasnt great either.
The hotel in a very poor location with not much around it.
The entertainment was good 3 nights out of the seven.
Dont go expecting 5 star treatment. Most 5 star hotels dont offer all inclusive for a reason.
Wouldnt go again.

Been twice before when it was the San Blas Hotel and loved it. Arrived two days ago under the ownership of Barcelo. Room stunning after great reception response from the staff. I love the balcony bar and must make a special mention for the professional work of both Jose and Valentin . Nothing is too much trouble. They are a credit to the hotel. The restaurant remains exceptional. The entire staff are brilliant and so hard working but remain immaculate and friendly at all times. The food is varied and beautifully cooked. If anyone cannot find something to their fancy they aren’t trying. All in all it’s a hotel that I would visit time and time again if it remains as good as this.
Absolutely amazing holiday. We were here for 12 nights in total and each day just got better and better.There was a wide variety of food and drinks included all through the day, name brand spirits and good portion sizes. Every member of staff was friendly, helpful and made the effort. The rooms were spacious and clean to an amazing standard The animation team were the best I’d ever seen at a hotel. We participated in daily quizzes, evening shows, cheese & wine tasting, candle making, kayaking and water polo. High energy run by some amazing people.
Lastly, a huge special thanks to Roger from the animation team, his smile, humour and all-around amazing vibes really made the holiday for us. ( Cinco, you can shoooot!)
