You're just 900 metres from the centre of El Medano, and you're right on the seafront too. Whatever you do, don't forget that there's an indoor pool too. Part of a wonderful recreation suite, with the superb spa facilities available*, you really could spend a lot of time here. Floor length windows let in loads of that wonderful light, and bring out the gorgeous colours in this little haven of peace and tranquillity. Please note the recreation suite is open to Adults only.
One of the really nice things about the Arenas del Mar Hotel is that sense that whatever you might hope for, the reality is better. The guests' rooms are a good example. Bigger and better than most hotel rooms, the standard rooms are actually junior suites. So there are double beds as standard, and plenty of room for you to relax and unwind.
All rooms come with a wonderful balcony – well, you really do want to make the most of those incredible views. They also satellite plasma TV and phone, room safe and minibar. Sea view rooms are also available.
The Arenas del Mar Hotel is choc-full of amenities too, ranging from its own internet cafe and shop, to a TV lounge and all sorts of activities. With a restaurant, cafe and pool bar as well, this really is one of those hotels that you could quite happily luxuriate in for a week or more.

The 4* Arenas del Mar is situated on the seafront in El Medano, just 900 metres from the centre. It is an ideal choice for a relaxing holiday with stunning views of the ocean and a fantastic array of amenities including an outdoor swimming pool, entertainment area, bars and a superb modern spa at a fee. La Jaquita Beach, a black sandy beach is close to the hotel.
Myself and my two friends stayed at this lovely hotel for 3 Nights All Inclusive, from the moment we arrived the staff were friendly, polite and helpful, our rooms were complimentary upgraded! We had great views and the rooms were spotless and cleaned to a high standard. The food was also of a high standard and plenty there! The All Inclusive white Wine was not to our taste but the larger was perfect.. The swimming pool was divine, the perfect temperature, it is very windy there which makes Sunbathing very easy. It is about a 10 min walk into the little town, which has some great bars and restaurants. All in all, it was the perfect little getaway at what we considered a good price. This will certainly be on our list to revisit.
This is a beautiful hotel, the staff work so hard, and are very attentive in every way always happy to help, I enjoyed the food there were lots of choices, the rooms are quite large i was surprised, they are clean some say the furniture was dated, it was ok I thought, it does need some tlc around the pool, sun beds broken and it needs to be hosed down not mopped, the town was a little to far for me, and not much there but the harbour was lovely, all in all I enjoyed my stay.
I have recently stayed at the Arenas Del Mar for 4 nights all inclusive. Which in fact is my 3rd visit in less than 2 years. The hotel came highly recommended to me by two of my best friends, when I was looking for a holiday to celebrate my 50th birthday. They have stayed at this hotel many times and keep going back - so that speaks volumes! I am a solo travellor and I feel very safe at this hotel. The short transfer from the airport is also a bonus. All the staff are amazing so friendly and helpful. The food is plentiful and as a non meat eater there is always enough choice at each mealtime. I choose to stay sea view as enjoy spending time on the balcony and can sit for hours watching the wind surfers. The room is always immaculate and so spacious. I plan to return in 2027 (if not before) as I feel like I have found somewhere I can escape to that has everything I need for a relaxed and enjoyable break away.
We have jyst returned from this lovely hotel. It's Adults only which was a real delight. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were upgraded on arrival which was great. Room was super nice very spacious and clean and comfortable. Food was delicious and lots of choices. The only thing we struggled with was the sun beds which were very uncomfortable. No padding at all you could feel every bar on the bed, and for a Adults only we expected a bit more comfort. But overall it was very good. Easy access for wheelchair uses and lifts .
I stayed for a short solo 4 day break so had a restful stay. The hotel was nice with comfortable accommodation with a nice sea view, but the location was not good as too far from any facilities - local shops were a very long walk away with no public transport. Did not like the beach with its volcanic black sand. The region is very windy which is great for the surfers and paddle-boarders but not for a walk on the beach.
