This popular apartment complex lies just across the promenade and a shopping centre of Playa Fañabe. The town centre with countless restaurants, bars and shopping venues as well as exiting nightlife venues is a mere 2 km away whilst links to the public transport network are just 200 m away. Puerto Colón's beautiful marina is a mere 400 m from the hotel and offers a range of entertainment options. Guests are offered a supermarket, a selection of shops, a restaurant as well as a bar. Each of the charming units comes with a combined lounge/ bedroom area, a bathroom with a shower and a dining area with a kitchenette, and a balcony or terrace. The apartments additionally feature a separate bedroom. The apartment complex features a palm tree-lined pool complex with a children's area. There is a sun terrace where sun loungers and parasols have been laid ready for use.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. This aparthotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, a vending machine and lifeguards on-site.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Great hotel .this is our second time at sol sun and it's been refurbished , hotel looks very fresh and nice , food great as always and hotel room lovely .only issue is bin men but that's not hotels fault . Overall great stay will book again
I have just returned home from visiting Sol Sun with my Mom&Auntie for 3 nights . We have stayed previously here as a large family, so knew what we were getting arriving back. And it was fabulous the hotel since our previous stay is visibly having some modern updates throughout , staff are always friendly and helpful and calling down to reception for anything we needed was always provided very quickly. We are already looking for a return next year and it has all the features you need for a comfortable stay pool area always fabulous never scrambling or rushing for a sunbed which is always a win. Breakfast was always relaxed no hustle and bustle as you can get in other places. And if you wanted to know small inflatables and lilos are aloud in the pool as I know my daughter finds this as a make or break when we are away 🤣. But honestly I would recommend this hotel to anyone and the location is always great!
We had a really nice stay here. The location is great - the beach, restaurants and shops are all just a few steps away. We had a room with a side sea view, which was a nice bonus.
We also liked the pool area and never had a problem finding free sunbeds. Breakfast was tasty and there was a good variety of food.
The biggest downside for us was the room. It felt a bit dated and could definitely do with some renovation. The staff were also not always very helpful when we asked for something.
Our balcony got a lot of sun during the day, so we asked reception for a parasol. They said they could provide one for an extra charge, which was fine with us, but unfortunately it never arrived.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, especially because of the great location. With updated rooms and a bit more attention from the staff, it would be much better.
Some staff friendly, some not so much. We asked to extend our checkout time (I had emailed before I arrived to ask and the hotel said yes for a fee). It got to the last day and I asked for the late checkout at reception to be met with 'it is not possible'... even though I had previously emailed to ask. Emailed again to see if anything could be sorted out, but I haven't heard back from the hotel - customer service was very poor. I then asked if they had a courtesy room available to freshen up and escape the heat while I got ready for the airport, they said no and gave us a key for a shower room in reception. The room was absolutely tiny, couldn't swing a cat in it. Anyone bigger than a child would struggle. The shower room also had a very foul smell, and by the time you had your shower you would need another one as there was no air conditioning in the shower room/toilets, or in reception. Really feel for the staff who have to work in it. Ended up going over to Burger King for a more comfortable temperature. Rooms were ok, bathroom was quite dirty, and floors in the whole apartment were definitely not swept the whole time we were there. Air conditioning unit was in the living area rather than the bedroom which was confusing, the bedroom had a ceiling fan which was ok but with the heat off the calima it was unbearable to sleep in. I also had to lug a 22kg suitcase up a flight of stairs as the lift was not working, unsure how any disabled guests would overcome this? Overall the visit was ok, but nothing compared to other hotels/apartments I have stayed at.
Hotel good but can’t relax by pool due to the choice of music, very loud and rock and rap playing from 10.30 in the morning, most of the guests this time of the year are an older generation who would like to sit and chat to there friends, asked for it to be lowered or changed but was told music is set by melia so not allowed to change it 🤷🏻♀️ Tried sitting in different areas around the pool but just can’t get away from it
