This popular apartment complex lies just across the promenade and a shopping centre of Playa Fañabe. The town centre with countless restaurants, bars and shopping venues as well as exiting nightlife venues is a mere 2 km away whilst links to the public transport network are just 200 m away. Puerto Colón's beautiful marina is a mere 400 m from the hotel and offers a range of entertainment options. Guests are offered a supermarket, a selection of shops, a restaurant as well as a bar. Each of the charming units comes with a combined lounge/ bedroom area, a bathroom with a shower and a dining area with a kitchenette, and a balcony or terrace. The apartments additionally feature a separate bedroom. The apartment complex features a palm tree-lined pool complex with a children's area. There is a sun terrace where sun loungers and parasols have been laid ready for use.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. This aparthotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, a vending machine and lifeguards on-site.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Hotel is in a great location, premium studio room was nice and good air conditioning. Lovely big pool, children are allowed inflatables which is a bonus. Clean hotel. Nothing much else going on in the hotel, the odd hour and a bouncy castle in the pool ( for little children) not suitable for teens. No air conditioning in any other part of the hotel, so very hot in the reception and restaurant. Pool bar is very under staffed and staff have very limited English, so a lot of miscommunication. Reception staff speak English. It is a nice hotel but for the cost I would expect a bit more.
If you are looking for a hotel in the perfect location within central Costa Adeje with no sunbed wars, even in peek August, look no further.
The pool scene at Sol Sun Beach is a big selling point along with the ideal location. With no real stress over sunbed reserving and without feeling the next family are on top of you it is quite a relaxing environment. The pool is warm, spacious and has plenty of shallow spaces for younger kids. It was also great to see such an active lifeguard paying attention to what is going on with a sensible approach with regards to the pool rules for the sake of everyone's enjoyment. I also found the poolside music completely on point - credit there.
I found the rooms on the small side for a family of 4. Our 1 bed apartment wasn't very spacious compared to what we were used to, however this is the compromise for a central location. We had an un-refurbished room (which we knew based on what we paid for) and it did feel a little dated so is something to consider and I maybe wished I'd pushed the boat out for a 2-bed apartment for more space. It was a little challenging to keep the room cool too with the AC unit at the far-side from the main bedroom, but fortunately nobody removed a keycard left by housekeeping from the slot so the AC could run while we were out, shhh! As a side note, the old key operated safe in our room was tiny and we struggled to fit our valuables in there at the cost of 30€ for 2 weeks. Special mention for the cleaning service though who visited every single day with fresh towels etc - I haven't seen that too often at a 3-star hotel.
We were glad we were B&B basis as there was a slight lack of amenities in the room (no microwave and no freezer compartment in the fridge) but the breakfasts in the newly refurbished restaurant were superb with a good range changing slightly daily and great friendly staff stocking up and cleaning constantly.
We did encounter a hiccup with trying to arrange a birthday cake for my eldest son's birthday prior to arrival which led to this being missed. Likewise, as we enjoy making use of our balcony for lunches and nightcaps we politely requested a high floor with a pleasant view - the request was noted weeks prior to arrival but we were very disappointed with the room we were allocated. Most rooms in the hotel do enjoy some sort of view, so how we ended up on the ground floor with no view at all is a mystery. I'm not sure there were many worse rooms actually, it was at a lower level than other rooms in the row so we could not see out properly. Outside the front door we had the pool maintenance access with a side gate that took deliveries early in the mornings, likewise the supermarket through the side gate would restock nice and early too. From the balcony, we were opposite another busy service entrance of the hotel opposite and enjoyed noisy refrigerated vans parking in front of us all hours of the day, fans full throttle. Personally, I think room C4-025 should be condemned and turned into storage or a courtesy room at best! Anyway, we did not let this spoil our holiday, we just used our room as minimal as possible.
To be fair, I did flag the disappointment with the room and after a couple of days, Carolina did over us a move. However, with an autistic son to think about, uprooting him wasn't particularly practical once settled so the lesser of 2 evils was to stay put. Carolina (who was excellent) did make amends with other means though which was really appreciated and when my youngest son's birthday came around later in the holiday, the hotel did not disappoint with making the occasion special for him, which was superb and I can't thank Carolina enough for this.
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday. A nice breakfast followed by a day at the pool or beach then a nice family meal in a close-by restaurant followed by a few drinks in a lively bar or two was just what we were looking for - fantastic memories.
Just returned from holiday what a beautiful place excellent location, surroundings inside the communal areas were stunning Apartment very good and spacious couldnt fault anything I praised the manager Carolina with thanks to all staff from reception, dining room., cleaning, maintenance couldn't praise them enough for the jobs they do it was a credit to them all this was our second year at sol sun beach and are booking again for next year
Excellent location, lovely apartment just big enough for me and 2 teenagers Breakfast was nice No problem getting a sunbed any time of day
Stayed at sol sun beach for 2 weeks with family, 2 adults and 3 children. Fantastic hotel highly recommended it. Apartments are big, surrounded by palm trees and lovely gardens and a stones throw away from the sea. The hotel is immaculate and the staff are very helpful. The pool area is beautiful and heated, bonus is that floats are allowed in the pool. They have a singer at the pool during the day and a saxophonist which was a nice touch. We stayed half board and the food was amazing, plenty of choice for everyone. The location was spot on right in the middle of bars, shops, restaurants etc. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
