We really enjoyed our week’s stay here! Reviews can make you skeptical but apart from the shower overflowing once (which the reception team sorted for us and got an engineer to see to this) everything was back to a lovely relaxing stay! We stayed in a one bed apartment and the kitchen area was fully stocked. We ate out every day but it was nice to have the option of using the kitchen. Balcony was spacious too! The staff are really attentive and friendly. They don’t have air con here but we already knew this and organised 2 units with Mr Cool who installed them all before we even landed. Yes this is up heart attack hill which we climbed up twice in the heat 🥵 and the rest of the time we walked down and got a taxi back which was always reasonable. We would definitely return!
On arrival to this hotel reception staff were very welcoming, explained everything where our room was gave us an information sheet for wifi etc.
Pros Reception staff informative friendly and welcoming. Rooms cleaned 5 days a week very good housekeeping. Carlo was a fab host and very friendly. Good facilities table tennis, pool table, darts, chess board, swimming pool. Shop on site reasonably priced. Bakery was amazing and good coffee. Rooms with a view were amazing(we paid to upgrade on booking). Lots of storage in Rooms, kitchen facilities excellent full size fridge freezer and an oven. Beds comfy and sofa bed was very good as well. Safe reasonably priced. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Food good in restaurant and pool bar. Rent towels for sunbeds is a good idea. Shower Rooms available with fresh towels on departure day.
Cons Not enough sunbeds for the amount of Rooms. There would be enough if people did not reserve beds at 8am and not use them or reserve 11 beds for 4 people! The same bar man (long hair) tried to short change us on a many occasions despite us tipping him regularly, it seemed to be deliberate and not a mistake as too often. Life guard.. where do I start, the rules changed daily 1 day balls were allowed next the kids were told off for playing catch in an empty pool. Rubber rings allowed unless they were black then he took them off people lilos again depends on his mood. I get they are there to protect but its not consistent and it upset many kids not knowing if they could play or not! He was the fun police.
Top tips 6 euros in a taxi from the beach to hotel easy to get and saves the long walk in the heat. Good reliable bus for aqualand and playa las Americas e1.30 number 424 Super dino 2 min walk or if you want cheaper mercadona is good in the xsur again 4 min walk. Union bar is a nice bar but avoid on a Friday as all the locals and work men are in and atmosphere changed. Restaurant 3'60 fab place service good and cheap meals (above super dino.) Loads of good places to eat and drink down the hill. All in all we had an amazing holiday and great value for money.
Overall we were happy with this hotel.
Reception staff very helpful on arrival, and Carlo does a great job bringing the entertainment each day.
Rooms are great, very big, clean, decent shower and kitchen no complaints at all. They don’t have air con though so we hired an air con unit from a local company before we arrived to be delivered on our first day. €70 for 10 days. You’ll find these on Facebook.
The supermarket and bakery on site are really good and very reasonable. Hotel food and drinks are also reasonable prices although not a great variety of choice at the pool bar. Happy hour between 4-5 each day you can get a pint for €2 which is very good.
The negatives for us was mainly around the pool situation and life guard. The rules in the pool were ridiculous. The kids literally could do nothing but stand still in the pool. No jumping in, no inflatables, no balls, no squirting water guns. The kids were bored and often got out of the pool. Yes in August you do need to go down around 8am to get a bed but it’s not too bad there always seemed to be beds for everyone.
The location itself is a bit out of the way up a hill with nothing close by so it’s a bit of a walk if you want anything like a breakfast or to watch some football etc. walking down isn’t too bad but we got taxis back up. Taxis are cheap enough.
Overall decent enough hotel for the price.
Just back from a weeks holiday here. Staff are super friendly especially Sara in reception. We chatted most days. Gave me running recommendations which were spot on👌🏻. Nothing was too much trouble. We hired an air con unit from Mr Cools. It was set up already in our room on arrival. The location is at the top of a hill. So most days we would walk down (15 minutes) to the beach/bar/restaurant areas and get a taxi back €6. Pool is fab, as is the onsite bakery. Best coffee 👌🏻 Small shop onsite and a large supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Will definitely be back and would recommend to friends ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Honest review as some on here are so untrue. Rooms are very well equipped everything you need. Rooms cleaned everyday apart from Wednesday and Sunday. Fresh towels every other day. On site bakery amazing and little shop also very well equipped. Pool hmm if put towels on beds and your not there life guard mon/friday will take them off. I get it as some families were going out for the day. But if your going up to room for dinner ect it can be very fustrating. Hotel is out the way tho walk down is fine but by god on way up its a killer. We walked down and got taxi back very cheap tho 5/6 euro. Would i come back no as was just to far away for us next year we will stay more centre. But we had a super holiday. Oh and you are allowed inflatable in pool just no balls.
