This hotel is awesome. On price versus experience, it's right up there with the best. As soon as you arrive you are impressed by the large reception hall.
We were checked in efficiently. I booked a sea-view room and paid for an upgrade at check-in... the room was really nice and had a great balcony but wasn't quite as an amazing upgrade as I expected. We were placed on the side of the hotel facing the neighbouring hotel and yes, we could see the sea but it was somewhat obscured.
The restaurants were great and breakfast by the poolside was amazing.
There are several different pools, separated into warm & cold as well as family or adults only. The vast majority of guests here would be categorised in the "retired" age group and the largest pool is adults only and is surrounded by a large sun lounging area with lots of private spaces to chill. You can apparently request as many pool towels as you like for use by the pool and it was a source of great amusement to us as to just how far this amenity was taken, with several of the older guests accumulating a comical number of towels to comfort themselves. I started to think the old guys were in competition on who could build the biggest towel fort. I even saw what I thought was a pile of used towels only to discover an old man was actually asleep amongst them.
The resort opens directly onto the beach walk, and you can walk along the beach into town and past bars and restaurants.
I stayed for 3 nights in early of June. Overall , they delivered what they stated in the website.
However , as a Bonvoy titanium member , I didn't have a SNA offer but my 10 SNAs will expire in 30th of June. They couldn't offer me a better upgrade but they didn't. The lounge closed for no reason. I asked for a late check out but it seems upto a personal decision from their staff. I got a negative answer from one staff but I got a yes from another few mins after. They also have an empty snack bar.........sigh.
With lower price from next door , they have a better sunbed and a larger balcony.
We stayed at this wonderful hotel in June and couldn’t fault it. The room was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a deluxe sea view room and found it perfect for our needs. The covered balcony and wicker furniture made it a quiet retreat from the sun when required. We stayed half board plus which enabled us to eat in the speciality restaurants which were better able to accommodate my wife’s gluten and dairy allergy. The food in these restaurants was outstanding.
The food in the Main Dining room was excellent, plentiful, varied and well received by fellow guests although it was limited for vegan and vegetarian options.
We will undoubtedly endeavour to return again to this hotel
We loved our stay at Sheraton. There is a lot of restaurants to eat in vicinity. It dererve a 5 star. Rooms are spacy. Cleaning of rooms and hotel is allso good.
We enjoyed sitting on the balcony wit a glass of wine.
Had the best time at La Caleta Sheraton, the service and staff have been great and the rooms are large and spacious. The bathrooms are also generous with separated toilet and a bath big enough for adults. Food and drinks were also really good. The whole family enjoyed our stay and we would not hesitate to visit again.
