One word ( FANTASTIC ) loved everything about the Sabilia, staff magic, food teriffic, room amazing really a wonderful 9days. Will definitely be back. Thanks very much everyone at the Sabilia.
Superb hotel! Every single member of staff were so cheerful & friendly. The breakfast spread was incredible & had pretty much everything you could want. The pool is stunning & so nice to be able to reserve your sun lounger on the app to avoid the early morning rush. Free cocktails daily are a nice touch too. Lunch is reasonably priced & delicious. Location is good for bars, restaurants & the beach. Rooms/beds are very clean & there’s ice cold freshly filtered water machines on every floor.
The only negative is if you like an early night avoid the rooms facing the hotel entrance as the hotel opposite has very loud entertainment nightly between 8.30 & 10.30. I would stay again in a heartbeat though but just ask for an inside facing room.
We’ve just returned from a 5-night stay at the Iberostar Selection Sábila, and overall we had a fantastic stay. ⭐️
The one thing that really stood out to us was the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. We arrived in the late morning and were warmly welcomed with a cold towel, a drink of our choice, and, much to our delight, our room was already ready well before the official check-in time. Our bags were taken up to the room for us, which was a lovely touch.
We were on the 6th floor and had a modern, bright and spacious room.
📍 Location-wise, it’s excellent. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the Fañabé strip, with lots of great restaurants, and a short stroll down to the marina for boat trips, water sports and more.
We stayed as Star Prestige guests, and the breakfast buffet had a really good range of food. We never had any trouble finding a table and the whole breakfast experience was relaxed and enjoyable.
☀️ Sunbeds: Booking through the app was really easy, but this did seem to be communicated inconsistently. I saw a couple of people being asked to leave their sunbeds because they hadn’t reserved them, and they genuinely didn’t seem to know that reservations were required. I felt the way this was handled was a little insensitive, especially as it appeared they hadn’t been made aware of the system.
🎶 Entertainment: We really enjoyed the hotel entertainment, but the South African group were definitely my highlight — absolutely amazing singers!
❤️ My personal highlight was the nightly turndown service. I absolutely loved coming back to the room in the evening to find the bed freshly made, curtains drawn and a little chocolate waiting on the pillow. Such a lovely little luxury and something I really appreciated.
If I had to pick one negative, it would be the room doors. They swing shut very loudly, and unfortunately we could hear doors banging at all hours, which was sometimes disruptive.
Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning. A lovely, clean hotel with fantastic staff, a great location and some really nice touches that made the stay feel special. 🌴☀️
Good for some not for all. Dated hallways and rooms lack space and leak. There’s a lot of older ppl who stay here hence the reviews but wouldn’t stay again. Aside from food being great overall experience is blah. If you want an upscale resort where they don’t charge you to play a game of pool head to the ritz or similar styled resorts. This place is for ppl that want to be nickels and dimed for everything. Never again!
You’d have to be hard to please not to love the Iberostar Sabila. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble- particularly Carmel and Santiago who will guide you through the process of reserving your sunbeds up to two days in advance- no 6am race to get a good sunbed here! Food is delicious and plentiful, and the view is gorgeous. Recommended.
