I travelled with my 20 year old son and we had the best time. The staff were all absolutely fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. The entertainment was excellent and very varied. I was worried about going all inclusive, but the food was very good. It was all very fresh and a great selection. We went into the other restaurant one evening as it was included in our holiday and that was also a lovely experience. The hotel location is fantastic - so close to the beach, bars and some great restaurants. The hotel was extremely clean and the all inclusive drinks were spot on. I have read a lot of people saying that you need to upgrade to Excellence. As much as I am sure this would be brilliant, we did not feel that we were not looked after or had worse deal on the standard rate. We went down to the pool for a few hours each days and whatever time of day we went, we always had sunbeams together within a few minutes. I woful;d love to visit again.
We had a lovely time, and your staff were excellent throughout our stay. The food was great, and of course, the weather was brilliant! We will definitely be coming back next year, so we look forward to seeing you all again.
We had a great time at the Hovima Cool. The hotel was spotless, staff were very friendly and helpful. Good entertainment. The food was good, always something you could eat. We will definitely return.
Lovely central hotel. Great food and entertainment, a couple of acts brilliant the group of two brothers and their Dad doing Rock was excellent and Elvis impersonator was great.
No shortage of sun beds so there is no need to get up early to reserve. Pool doesn’t open till 8.30.
Italian Al a Carte not great we didn’t enjoy this at all.
Take tea bags with you as no tea there at all just black, green , mint and camomile. No breakfast tea. Breakfast needs looking into if you leave before 7.30am as just a few cakes put out.
Rooms okay do need some maintenance in bathroom although shower is big. We had room 721 and very quiet so was perfect for us.
Excellence is really not worth the extra, money, it’s the same restaurant just at one end.
The pool for excellence is only small with red sun beds around it. The regular blue sun beds are identical around the regular pool. 2 x snack bars which open at 10.30 for drinks etc.
Apparently excellence guests receive a bigger room and a mini bar.
The mini bar in the regular rooms is included once only.
It’s really just the same facilities so no need to spend the extra.
The market on Thursday and Saturday is worth going to it’s about 15 min walk.
Plenty of shops, restaurants , beach and promenade all very close to hotel.
Nothing to complain about as it’s a lovely hotel. The food for AI is great.
I would certainly go back at some point in the future if we go back to Tenerife.
Definitely lost it's shine, our 5th visit in 6 years, previous visits were fantastic, entertainment was brilliant with Mikey, food was edible you could make something up to eat, we always have a superior room so we get a sea view but, on this visit things have changed we booked a superior room and we're told on check in that if we wanted a Seaview room it was an extra €164 for the week, the hotel is exceptionally clean and it is easy to get a sun bed through the day. The room was as expected, however the sink in the bathroom would not hold the water due to the plug not working correctly and the trap under the sink leaked onto the floor below, we reported these defects 3 times without resolution. Food wise we had to eat out every night as the food was bland and tasteless and presented very poorly. Lunch time, there is never any ham in the restaurant but repeatedly salami and chorizo so it was difficult to have a salad or a sandwich. If the food ran out we were constantly told it had run out and if it didn't on one occasion it took 10 minutes to get replenished. Our room on one day was not cleaned and just the bed made. One positive is that branded spirits are now part of the AI service. We absolutely loved this hotel before this visit. We will not be returning again.
