this hotel was put in a very good location w accessibility to walk to the beach front and water parks and many excursions were nearby. i think the food was lovely and i have no complaints . there wasn’t much for kids to do for activity’s at night but many of them made friends and spent there time doing there own thing and the older kids managed to play pool or hang about somewhere . the rooms were cleaned everyday except Sunday’s like it was stated this involved is having fresh towels each day the only downfall is that a 16 yr old had to share a room w her parents which was a bit of a hassle and as we asked to move her we got a no . but overall lovely hotel and lovely staff who helped you with anything you needed. i also saw complaints about air-con situation and wifi . air-con u got your money back as soon as u return the remote and as for wifi i just used my data from home so i didn’t see any issue’s
After reading some of the reviews on this hotel, I was a little bit worried about coming here for my holiday, however I did not need to worry as myself and my family found the hotel to be great for our 2 weeks holiday in Costa Adeje.
There are lots of pros about this hotel and a few cons, hence the 4 out of 5 rating.
When we arrived the lady on reception was lovely and welcoming, explaining to us how the all inclusive worked as well as other information that we needed.
Prior to coming to the hotel, I emailed to ask for a room on floor 4 or above with a pool view. We were given a room on floor 7 with a pool view so we were very happy. The room was big and spacious for our family of 4. The room was also lovely and clean and the maids did a great job. Our towels were replaced daily, except on Sunday where there is no maid service. We found the beds to be comfortable and we always had a good night sleep here.
We had amazing views for our balcony, which also had tables and chairs and a small washing line on.
We took a Samsung TV remote with us after watching a YouTube video where we learned that you have to pay a deposit for one. We paid the deposit for the air conditioning remote and paid a small refundable deposit for the room safe but you also have to pay €2.50 per day for the safe that is non-refundable. We didn’t bother paying for a kettle deposit as we are not bothered by not having a kettle in our room.
We enjoyed the food here, breakfast was always excellent, as was lunch and dinner. There was plenty of choice and the restaurant area was clean with friendly staff.
We liked the swimming pools and we were pleased with the children’s pool as it was perfect for our children. However, I personally did not like the artificial grass around the pool and think it would make the hotel look much nicer if this was removed and tiled.
The first week we were there, there was plenty of sun beds available by 8am but the second week we were there some families decided to put there towels out at 6am. They were never removed. We always managed to get sunbeds though, if we put towels out at 7:30 am. You have to pay €2 for a parasol around the pool. I have never known a hotel to charge for a parasol before and thought that they should be free. If you want a comfortable sunbed topper, you have to pay for this as well, but we didn’t bother as the sunbeds were fine.
The snack bar was great, and my children enjoyed being able to get ice-cream on demand. There was burgers, hotdogs, pizza and toasted sandwiches available from here as well. The drinks were absolutely fine with lots of choice. We packed some plastic reusable cups as well read that the paper cups that the hotel supply by the pool were small, which they were.
The hotel has a small games room/arcade which my children were very pleased about as they could go and play air hickey, racing games and another game. We didn’t know this existed before our holiday so my children were very happy indeed to go in at night and play in here. The games cost €2 a time.
The evening entertainment wasn’t the best, but we did enjoy the snake show and the parrot show. You have to pay for the photos that are taken by the people who run these shows. There are a lot of singing acts here and some of them were pretty bad. However, a couple of the male singers were good. My children enjoyed getting their faces painted and the lady who does this was lovely and friendly, however the kids mini disco, which only happens twice a week was disappointing. My children were unimpressed with it compared to other hotels mini discos they have been to.
The day time entertainment wasn’t that good either as there was only one man doing this and there needs to be a bigger team of people. Dino seemed to only speak to certain families and ignore others and not ask if you wanted to join in.
The majority of the staff here are lovely and hard working. The hotel is in a great location and close to the beach, shops and bars. We also thought the hotel was very clean. There are two lifts, a jacuzzi and a sauna, which you have to book. It is also very close to Aqualand, so we walked to the water park. The reception team will phone for taxis for you if you need one.
We wanted to keep our room on as we had a late flight and check out is at 12. We were willing to pay the €80 extra to do this but unfortunately our room was not available for us to keep on. We were advised of the courtesy room and luggage storage. We asked to book a time slot for the courtesy room but were told there is no need. It turned out the ‘courtesy room’ was just a room with showers and toilets. The room smelled like drains and was unfit to be used for a shower. My husband reported this to reception and was told we could use the shower in the sauna room instead if we wished. The courtesy room is also the luggage storage room, so be aware of this if you leave your cases in here as other people who are also leaving can walk in and out of here as they please. It would be better if there was a separate, locked luggage room.
Overall we enjoyed our holiday. There are more pros than cons and the hotel was absolutely fine for our holiday to Tenerife.
We had a great stay at Hotel Villa Adeje! The daytime games were lots of fun and the kids’ disco was a real highlight. A special mention to Dino, who was fantastic and made the activities so enjoyable. All the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend the hotel, especially for families with children.
The hotel is situated less than 10 minutes walk down hill to the busy town centre and beach. We paid a little extra to upgrade our room to an apartment for our family of 3. We had two large rooms and a big balcony overlooking the pool. There was plenty of choice food wise and the staff were all friendly. There were two pools that were quite busy but had room for everyone. We got involved in the hotel entertainment during the daytime that was organised by Dino. He made such an effort to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves and made sure it was appropriate for both adults and children. We did aqua fitness, archery, axe throwing, darts and pool among others. This really made our holiday and was such a great way to meet other people. Big thanks to Dino We had such a lovely time.
Great hotel, very clean but a little dated. Nice food with plenty of choice. Food was very good and we always found something to eat. Rooms are very spacious. Most staff were very nice. Pools were nice and so was the pool bar. Lots of things need a deposit such as air conditioner remote or have extra costs such as paying to use the safe or pay for a parasol around the pool. Entertainment was bad in this hotel. Daytime entertainment was the worst I have ever seen and Dino only did basic activities and not much of them at that. Evening entertainment was not great either as a lot of bad singing acts and very little variety apart from snake and parrot show. Entertainment let this hotel down, everything else was fine.
