Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Me and my partner just got back home from our first time at the Guayarmina princess for a week all inclusive. Firstly, it was so quick and easy to check in, with friendly reception staff. Everything was explained and I appreciate how they don’t tie the wristbands too tight so you don’t get a tan line!
I love the sun bed booking system. Every 2 beds have a parasol so there is no fighting over this, and don’t feel you need to get up early and get the beds. It is a really good idea and I think other hotels should implement this. There are plenty of beds and can always get booked, and there always seemed to be beds spare. It is great that one side of the pool is heated and the other isn’t, so you have a choice depending on the weather.
The staff are friendly and the entertainment staff are energetic - Jess and another girl with brown hair I didn’t catch her name. We did rifle shooting and archery with Jess on different days which was great and would recommend. They also do aqua gym in the pool and volleyball every day which was very popular.
The food was lovely at the buffet style. There seemed to be different things on every night like Italian night etc. Breakfast had good continental breakfast choices of cooked food, cereal, pastries, fruit etc. Special mention to the pancakes scrambled eggs which were amazing. The pizza at lunch / tea time was one of the best pizzas I’ve had. Food was always topped up and being replaced. The roast restaurant al la carte was 10/10 and a lovely feature. You get one for every full 4 nights of your stay so we had one reservation for the week. We had the sharing platter of meats and it was incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed this.
You get towels and vouchers for clean towels, if you want further towels then you need to pay I think a couple of euros but you have enough for your stay definitely, and we didn’t use all of these.
The sea breeze bar was open for snacks and ice creams e.g pizza slices during the day. Nice if you don’t want to get redressed to go in for lunch.
It is a beautiful clean hotel and looks very grand, and lovely views of the beach. It also backs onto the beach. Our room was overlooking the main reception so was lovely and quiet at night. Can imagine if you are facing the strip on a weekend it may get a bit loud. The Mini bar you can have the first fill of it for free which was a nice touch. The room was clean and can’t really fault it, but was 2 single beds pushed together which I am not the biggest fan of, but I think you can request a double bed.
On an evening if you sit outside, the wait staff come over and serve drinks to your table which is nice and saves queues at the bar, so I definitely enjoyed that part.
We did a day in the spa and paid the €20 as we weren’t platinum guests which was a bit of a rip off for what it is, as there wasn’t much there.
The hotel overall had a very chilled vibe. There was different entertainment on each night like cover acts, bingo, karaoke, and they also had football on as we stayed while it was the World Cup. Across the way at the princess inspire it looks more like it has a louder vibe on an evening if that’s what you’re looking for.
The gym was amazing for a hotel gym. Very impressed by this and was air conditioned with lots of equipment - there was not EVERYTHING but I wouldn’t expect this from a hotel. Really really good gym for the size of the hotel.
Drinks start from 10.30 which may be slightly late for sunbathing as it can we quite hot so maybe a water cooler where you could at least get some water would be good. All inclusive drinks finish at 11pm was fine for me. Cocktails don’t taste very nice and are pre made in jugs but that’s just my opinion and everyone has their own taste. The Pina colada was the best out of these. The spirits tasted very strong but weren’t strong and didn’t make me feel tipsy at all for the volume of them I had. A lot of the drinks aren’t on the all inclusive menu unless you are platinum, which is probably to try and sell the platinum.
On the platinum I am not a fan of this system in a hotel. It feels class based and they’re up at the top in the infinity pool looking down on those beneath has a certain vibe to it that I don’t enjoy. In certain areas they are reserved for platinum only but these areas don’t look any better or worse than any other area and the breakfast area for platinum seems the same - looks similar but just reserved for platinum guests. We were always a bit uncertain to go to an area of the hotel incase it was reserved for the platinum guests only, especially with us being first time visitors.
One evening me and my partner went to sit in the area next to the sea breeze bar after tea to have a coffee and there were a few people having food, but the other tables were not set up for food so we sat on one of these. A member of staff came over and said “lady, no. Reserved” so we left. Seemed to be an extra seating area for platinum guests for mealtime, even though this was not a platinum area, and this was not signposted anywhere? From my understanding bar platinum was for platinum guests, not bar sea breeze. Made to feel lesser than for not being a platinum guest so not a fan of that, but again just my opinion.
All of that considered, we had a lovely stay.
Would I recommend this hotel? Definitely. I wouldn’t go back myself but that’s because I like to try new places, but I would definitely stay at a TUI princess again. Beautiful clean hotel and friendly staff with great food.
The most plesant and relaxing experience, this hotel is something you have never seen,in terms of beauty, elegance, rafinament.
I have been travel in many City of Europe ,howver this is the only place have fallen in love and wishes to return.
Variety of food, even for the most fasiest guests, that was something for everyone to endulge and enjoy.
Stunning hotel, organised sundeds booking system, lovely ententaiment, loved spa and sundeds at the spa offering privacy, proffessional staff,I remembered Lidia and Javier .
I have achieved my purpose to relaxed and make memories to tresure to a the most Wonderful Hotel have been, thus I am looking forward to return this year for the 2nd time.
Thank you for your hospitality.
Excellent hotel very good choice of food pools very nice and sunbed booking system works well. One thing I will mention is that the hotel management perhaps together with their colleagues from other hotels should put pressure on the local authorities to repair many of the extremely dangerous promenade stairways in the area before someone has a serious accident.
We had the most amazing time for our 25th wedding anniversary. We stayed platinum direct seaview all inclusive.
Our room (4034) was beautiful with a great seaview. Yes it was overlooking Luuma but in all honesty it didn’t bother us. We sat out with a drink - people watching. But once the patio doors were closed you couldn't hear any noise.
Platinum restaurant was excellent, however we preferred The Roast.. more choice and excellent service. Shout out to Sara and Javier - fantastic customer service skills 👏
The Food Market was also excellent, I literally couldn't think of anything else breakfast wise they could add. At lunch time its buffet style, again lots of choice, but there is a menu you can order from - this wasn't widely advertised as we found out by chance from fellow guests.
Booking of sunbeds is a game changer.. I wish all hotels would adopt this system.
All in all a perfect stay.
one of the best hotels we have been to hoping to go back next year . the only thing I missed although it was a beautiful walk in pool was a rail to hold on to . but it would definitely not stop us going back all staff were amazing couldn't do enough for you .
