Guayarmina Princess

I would rate this hotel an 8 out 10 , absolutely stunning hotel very modern and clean. I will start with the positives you can book sunbeds through the hotel app so no fighting or going down at silly hours , you can also book Bali beds if you are not platinum you can still book but cost €20 , we were happy to pay as we liked that you had the option Good entertainment, I wouldn't say amazing but they have tribute acts such as Whitney Houston , Tina turner and ABBA , the pool entertainment was also really good not dead silent but not extra loud a saxophonist would play in the day and then music on an afternoon with the water sports aqua aerobics and volleyball. Most drinks are included in the all inclusive package. I was a bit nervous not upgrading to platinum but there wasn’t really anything we missed out on. A lot of cocktails to choose from as well as coffees , soft drinks , wines, beers and spirits Snacks during lunch time were really good , order at the snack bar and made fresh for you other hotels I’ve stayed at is a buffet style snack bar with hot dogs and burgers , but they offered freshly cooked pizza , sandwiches , toastie , ice cream and lots more We had a photo shoot which was really special yes it was an extra cost but we got some really lovely holiday pictures there is a stand located at reception for this Clean towels provided everyday as well as at the pool Short walk down onto the beach about 4 minute walkIf you are a guest for longer than 5 days you can eat in the roast restaurant where you would usually eat if platinum , we didn’t like any of the food that was included so we ordered a steak which can I add was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had and cost €11 (Starter and Dessert was free we just paid for our main) which is why I didn’t mind eating and paying there Jewellery and clothes shop on site Free mini bar for when you arrive a few beers and a few soft drinks inside Decent breakfast with lots to choose from full English and lots of pastries , pancakes. cereal, porridge Heated pool and normal temp pool. Disability friendly ramps everywhere and reliable lifts In some hotels I’ve stayed in within the area there is limited seating for nighttime entertainment, we never struggled to find a seat even when going down at 9pm. The staff are lovely , from reception to the life guards to the cleaning staff all were very helpful and welcoming The obvious.. adults only , it’s a very chilled relaxed vibe , a lot of couples and if this applies to you very LGBT friendly , me and my wife never once felt uncomfortable and we saw quite a few same sex couples. 

Now for the negatives there were only a few but I searched for ages for reviews before we booked here so I thought this would be helpful This didn’t bother us to much but quite a few guests complained as it was not stated in any booking conditions or hotel rules , you can not smoke or vape on your balcony , there are designated areas around the hotel where you can smoke and vape also you are not aloud to put towels on your balcony to dry We had a wobbly tile in our room which moved when stepped on but it didn’t seem big enough of an issue to complain , the shower also leaked slightly and our sink would not drain consistently but after a few minutes it did , in all honestly by the time we noticed these things we were half way through the holiday and I really couldn’t be bothered to move rooms , but I think if anything was wrong with the room and you did notify reception  it would be sorted asap we made friends with a lady that had a dip in her mattress they got her a brand new mattress straight away wrapped up and from storage The aircon in the room wasn’t the best it worked but wasn’t that cold we were here when it was 32 degrees so was kept on in the day Night time food I’m going to be honest wasn’t great some nights were ok but we ate out three times as there isn’t a lot of option unless your a fan of fish and meat We didn't use the Tui private transfer because we hired a car from the airport but i'm glad we didn't. Our hotel was 15 minutes from the airport. The transfer took 1.5 hrs and dumped people at the end of the road, not even at the hotel, we didn't have this experience but others on our flight did. 

Overall, we had a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend the hotel. However, we paid around £2,500 for seven nights for two people, which I already thought was quite expensive. I've had a look at prices for next year and it's currently coming up at around £3,000 for two people for seven nights. At that price, I would expect just a little bit more. For around £3,000, I could potentially fly to Cape Verde and stay in a adults only 5-star hotel, so I think I'd personally be tempted to look at other options rather than pay that much to return here. That said, if you find a good deal, I would absolutely consider staying here again.

Just back from a week in our favourite place. Hotel was perfect as always. We stayed Platinum All Inclusive this time, and had a bit of a chilled time rather than our usual out-and-about every day style of holiday. Food was great, we ate mostly buffet, but had one night in The Roast and 2 nights in the Platinum Club. Love the chilled atmosphere, spent a lot of time on sunbeds and in the pool for a change. The entertainment was OK. First night (Shania Twain Tribute) and the last night (Rock Band) were the best, but nothing was really bad, just catered to an older audience I think. We're not particularly night owls anyway, much prefer to be up and out walking or swimming early. We had room 3057, not a great view, but we're not really ones to sit on the balcony, so wasn't an issue for us. Had a few glitches checking in...the hotel computer system couldn't read our passports, and we had to go back 3 times to get them rescanned, this meant that our wristbands kept stopping registering for drinks, but reception sorted it all and we weren't actually refused any services. Enjoyed using the free spa circuit voucher one morning. great water massage jets. Overall, a great time. Will certainly be back.
