Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I was considering which star rating to give because the hotel is great. The staff are lovely, rooms and pools are great, it’s absolutely spotless and the buffet is the best I’ve had outside of Ikos. I have no complaints whatsoever except for one big one… the hotel has a severe cockroach infestation in the rooms.
We moved rooms and that room was also infested. We saw 14 total (adults and nymphs) across both rooms. I dreaded going back to my room each night and didn’t sleep our entire trip. The hotel is aware they have this problem and blamed the hot weather, but it ruined our holiday. The hotel gave us no recompense, except for a cocktail voucher so I’m taking it up with Jet2.
In my opinion, if the hotel knows its rooms are infested guests should be made aware so they can make an informed decision about whether to stay there. I upgraded precisely for this reason, as I mistakenly thought such a luxury resort would be on top of pest control. Needless to say I won’t be staying there again.
To the hotel… you need to close and fumigate to get this under control. To continue taking guests money when you know you have an infestation is wrong. If you can’t get the room infestations under control, how do we know what’s happening in the kitchen? Doesn’t bear thinking about.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything from the facilities and the overall look of the resort to the food quality was absolutely perfect. The aesthetic of the hotel is beautiful, and the quality of service is top-notch. A huge plus for us was the lovely little playground right next to the restaurant. It allowed us to enjoy our meals peacefully while keeping an eye on our children. However, there is one major downside that prevents me from giving a full 5-star review: the "sunlounger hogs." Guests start reserving sunbeds with towels early in the morning and then disappear for hours. Unfortunately, there is little to no monitoring from the hotel staff regarding this issue. It is incredibly frustrating to find a sea of empty beds covered in towels with nowhere to sit.If management starts enforcing a strict "no-reservation" policy, this hotel would be an absolute 10 out of 10. For now, it is a well-deserved 4 stars.
Wow - what an amazing hotel! From the moment we arrived on the coach transfer to the second we left, this hotel is very special.
Our room was ready on arrival at 12:30pm. Our cases were efficiently taken to our room. The room was amazing - plenty of space. Loved having 2 bathrooms and a great sized balcony.
The whole hotel is immaculately clean. The pool areas are fabulous.
We made use of the Padel courts and the surf machine while we were there - great fun!
Food choices were brilliant. Plenty at breakfast and the evening meals were delicious with incredible desserts!
Despite this hotel being huge, it never feels busy or overcrowded.
We’ll definitely be booking again!
The hotel is an experience, not just a room to stay. Every staff member is so attentive, and made sure every guest was attended to so well! We came back to the room every day, with it immaculately cleaned. We had breakfast, food choices were wonderful and staff there fab! The kids loved the kids club and slides at the pool. The adults only pool at the top of the hotel was magical. Thank you so much for a lovely stay and we will be back :-)
We got back from a family holiday at the GF Victoria a week ago & we can’t rate this hotel highly enough! We genuinely can’t understand any negative review. We are a family of 4, with 2 girls ages 13 & 9, so we have stayed in many family hotels over the years, but this hotel is our favourite. I rarely write reviews, but feel compelled to for this hotel. The rooms are a big thing for us & the girls had their own beds & bathroom. The room was large & immaculate. Cleaned daily without fail, with fresh water & chocolates towards the end of each day. The hotel as a whole is so clean & fresh. There is a great choice of pools (quieter & a slightly busier one for little ones), plus the water slides & surfing activity (& many more things for kids) on the top floor. We never struggled for a sun bed as they don’t open the pools until 9:30. But even then, we always got one whatever time we went to the pool. The staff were lovely (so nice with the girls & encouraged our older daughter with her Spanish). Breakfast was great - so much choice. The area - also great. A short walk from the beach, lots of places to eat & a lovely shopping centre across the road. We want to return to this hotel again next year because it was perfect for us.
