We have just come home from a 7 night stay here and we would come back tomorrow if we could. There was a few little things but nothing big. We had 3 rooms as there was 9 of us. All room was big, clean and very spacious. We had a 1 year old with us which the put them on ground floor which was fab. Our only down side was our door wouldn’t lock as all.
The pool areas are brilliant. Clean and very well kept. Pool games most days. Sunbed wars was fun. But a bit disappointed that people put there towels down before 10am and didn’t get moved. The hotel offer free towel for sunbed which was good.
The pool bar food was ok . Chips, nuggets. Burgers and hot dogs. Also toasties. Plenty of salad and fruit.
The restaurant food was nice. Everything I need for breakfast and lunch. Dinner was a different theme every night. But not to sure why you don’t get a drink with ur dinner if you half board
The evening entertainment was really good.
The hotel is only a short walk to the sea front and shops.
Staff: Apart from the main hotel manager and one of the receptionist they seem to hate the English, extremely rude, ignore you, unhelpful and just generally unhelpful.
Rooms: The rooms have a brilliant layout and set up with a nice garden area and a kitchen. This was let down by being the most disgustingly dirty room we've ever had the displeasure of staying in. The bathroom was definitely the worst area of the room with dirt, mould, grime, dust and broken bits everywhere. Air conditioning doesn't work in all the bungalows, just blows warm air, the room was at 27° through the night.
Entertainment: Kids club was enjoyed by our daughter once but there isn't much going in in the pool, areas through the day apart from one Thursday when (what looked like) one of the hotel owners was there.
Food: Probably the worst all inclusive food we've ever had and we've stayed at a lot all over. Not much variety for adults or kids, all tasted the same and very bland.
Pool: They are brilliant minus the morning rush and fight to get a sunbed, unfortunately they don't open until 10am which we felt was late.
Communal areas: Perfect location and exceptionally kept grounds, the pools, paths, gardens, plants are all really nice and a lot of time and effort is put into keeping these areas in a perfect condition.
We had a fantastic stay at GF Isobel. We arrived very late, just before midnight, and the reception staff immediately offered us snacks and bottles of water, which was a lovely touch after a long journey. We were then taken to our villa by driver, making our arrival smooth and stress-free.
The hotel was very clean, well maintained and had a calm, relaxing atmosphere throughout.
The restaurant staff were all polite and friendly, with a special mention to Sandra, who was absolutely fantastic. There was a great choice of food every day, including cereals, cooked English breakfast options and plenty of Spanish dishes. Each evening had a different themed menu, while there were always familiar options such as turkey or chicken with chips. Because us Brits love beige food abroad.
The pool bar queues moved quickly, and the snack bar was always well stocked during snack times. One tip: check that the toastie machine is switched on before using it.
The entertainment was excellent, especially for families. The kids absolutely loved the mini disco thanks to the enthusiastic, high-energy entertainment team. Afterwards there was family-friendly evening entertainment that everyone could enjoy.
The main bar never felt overcrowded, and it was great that they showed the football while the World Cup was on. There was plenty to keep everyone entertained, including the splash park, main swimming pool, a second pool, two children's play areas, an adults' jacuzzi, kids' club, ball pool room, water aerobics and archery. The little cat house was cute & people & kids enjoyed cat spotting.
Overall, we really enjoyed our holiday. The staff were always polite, friendly and helpful, and we'd happily return. My only minor criticisms were that some guests left towels on sunbeds for hours without using them, making it difficult for others to find a place to sit. I also think the top pool would work really well as an adults-only or quiet pool for guests wanting a more peaceful area. Overall, a wonderful family hotel that I'd happily recommend.
