Ideally situated just a short stroll from both Playa Fañabé and Playa del Duque, GF Fañabé is a welcoming 4-star hotel that caters to couples, families, and solo travellers alike. With its relaxed atmosphere, varied facilities, and prime location in the heart of Costa Adeje, this hotel offers a great base for a sunny Tenerife getaway.
Guests can enjoy five swimming pools, including a dedicated children’s pool and two rooftop plunge pools reserved for adults. The hotel’s wellness centre provides a space to unwind with massages, a sauna, and a small gym for those wanting to stay active. Kids are well looked after with a mini-club, games room, children’s disco, and a playground.
Dining options include a buffet restaurant serving a mix of local and international cuisine, along with three bars dotted throughout the hotel – perfect for a coffee during the day or a cocktail in the evening. Entertainment is offered daily and nightly, ensuring there’s something for all ages to enjoy.
Guestrooms are modern and comfortably furnished, offering ample space to relax. All rooms come with an en-suite bathroom, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee-making facilities (upon request, free of charge), a safe, and a balcony or terrace. Rooms with upgraded views or added space are available for a supplement.
This property boasts a good location just a mere 650m walk away from the popular Plaza del Duque shopping mall, the GF Fanabe is situated in the relaxing resort of Costa Adeje. The nearest sandy beach is a mostly downhill walk, just 10 minutes away. Ideal for all types of holiday-makers, it's offers great connections to the rest of the island with a convenient bus stop just a few minutes' stroll away.
Unfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again and I definitely don’t feel this is a 4-star hotel.
On our first night there were no towels in the room. I went down to reception and the member of staff looked at me and just said, “WHAT?” I explained that we had no towels and he told me room service would bring some up. They never arrived, so I had to go back again the following morning to get them.
There were also bugs in our room and in the downstairs toilet.
Every morning at around 4am we were woken by the bins being emptied, which was incredibly noisy and made it very difficult to get a decent night’s sleep.
Most of the reception staff were lovely, so I don’t want to take that away from them, but overall the experience was really disappointing. For a hotel advertised as 4-star, I expected much better.
In the end, we disliked staying here so much that we changed our flights and cut our holiday short by two days to come home early. That probably says more about our experience than anything else.
I love Tenerife and will absolutely return to the island, but I definitely wouldn’t return to this hotel.
Really enjoyed my two weeks here. Room was very spacious and clean. The food was fantastic - always lots of choice and good quality. I loved the AquaGym classes so a particular shout out to Lucia and Alexandra who ran those classes. Such great fun!
This is a genuine honest review. Really disappointing stay at this hotel…. We paid £1100pp for a week to stay in a mouldy, leaky bedroom that was riddled with little bugs. You could always smell cannabis whilst on your balcony or when your were walking to the pool…. Even the children’s pool. The food was very basic but edible.
The hotel seems to attract all ages but I got the impression it was popular by a lot of elderly people who for some reason turn their noses up at children. I witnessed an older group of people tell a young boy of for crying whilst in the dinner hall. By telling him to shhhhhhhhhh and shout in a foreign language. I was absolutely flabbergasted, but all week I had noticed it by other older people and got the impression they didn’t seem to like the idea of kids at the hotel? Not sure why they wouldn’t book an adults only hotel instead of a “family hotel” so I would bear this in mind if you wanted to bring your children here.
I genuinely believe that this hotel is more of a 3 star hotel rather than a 4 star hotel.
The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the staff were so friendly and polite.
We definitely would not return to this hotel.
Amazing hotel, very clean, lovely staff! We will be back!! Fantastic atmosphere throughout the hotel and pool areas for the 4 nights we stayed (26-30 Sep). We came on a B&B deal and have no complaints about the food, lots to choose from (and I am a fussy eater). Drinks are very reasonably priced at the bars day and night! Room was a very good size and spotless! Lots of places to eat nearby if you don't choose FB or AI
Our 10th year here. FANTASTIC stay again. Staff .food. hotel. No complaints. Everyone here from scotland at the moment all say exellent. Already to book for 2027. Who ever put up the bad reveiws must nuts . Never had any complaint in any of our visits. Rained for a day and a half. It was welcome . Cleared the air. Will miss the chocolate cake 😋😋. Yet again to the staff and cleaners our room was always spotless thank you for our stay. See you next year 🥰
