This charming complex is situated in a quiet location in the centre of Costa Adeje. The sprawling beach and the promenade, with its many shopping and entertainment venues, lie not far from the property. The bus station is 100 m from the complex, and the Magma Art and Congress Centre is just 50 m away. This hotel is composed of a 9-storey building with a total of 102 studios and 39 apartments. The welcoming rooms all feature an en- suite bathroom, a kitchenette and balcony as standard. The complex offers the use of a freshwater swimming pool, with an area for kids, and a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. Guests can play beach volleyball, billiards and table tennis on-site.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Second stay at the coral ocean view hotel, it has been refurbished since my last visit and the rooms were lovely and modern.
We arrived late in the evening due to delayed flights and were given our room number. It was late, we unpacked and the room was boiling, we tried the air conditioning unit and nothing would work. We went down to reception to say and was told that in the room we were given there was an issue with the air conditioning and that it would be sorted the following day. We should have been told that information on arrival when we were checked in. Following day we asked again and they said they were looking at options to get temporary air conditioning units installed. The room was unbearable without any air conditioning. I booked through jet2 and contacted them and within an hour we had a room change.
The pool area is lovely, the pool wasn’t freezing cold, plenty of sun beds and no sun bed wars. All areas of the pool have the sun but not until about 10:30am. During our week stay there were 4 different lifeguards we seen. The one older gentleman with glasses was lovely, very friendly, would chat to everyone, always cleaning up around the pool area not sure of his name but he was great.
The cocktails on the all inclusive are great, bit gutted as when I went 2 years ago strawberry daquiri was on the all inclusive but sadly it has been removed. Best cocktail was the mojito. I would recommend the all inclusive. Beer, wines, soft drinks are all self serve on all inclusive so you don’t have to queue at the pool bar.
Lobby bar was lovely and staff there were fab and very friendly especially Aidan I think that was his name? Always very pleasant and friendly.
Couldn’t fault the food, always fresh and hot. Love the different themed nights, best one was the BBQ themed night, the burgers were beautiful. Breakfast was my favourite especially the hash browns and pancakes.
The bedrooms were cleaned daily and to a good standard. The beds were comfortable, lovely big balcony, and it was nice to have a kitchen area with fridge, kettle, microwave etc. There is also an iron and ironing board in the rooms which was helpful. We did notice in our room on the kitchen worktop there was constantly small ants. We didn’t need to take any food to the room as we were all inclusive but they were crawling down into the fridge and were constantly in the kitchen sink.
We used the gym on a few occasions too and that was great, compared to some other hotels I’ve stayed in there was a lot of equipment and it’s techno gym too so good quality machines.
The location of the hotel is excellent, we walked all the way to fanabe and down to los cristanos within about 20 mins if you don’t mind walking. It’s a 5 min walk to monkey beach club so it’s really close to the beach and main strip. We avoided at all cost the Veronica’s strip. 7 mins to walk to Siam park and 10 mins to Siam mall save spending money on taxis it is walkable. The hotel can be extremely noisy, all night you can hear the buses at the bus station opposite the hotel reversing with their beepers and there is always trucks in and out of the hotel which did keep us awake some nights.
Would recommend this hotel and would return in the future
Small a friendly, excellent food quality. Overall very good stay
We have just came to the end of a week’s stay at the Coral Ocean View and had to write a review to express what a great experience we had here. The hotel is clean, modern and comfortable with lovely decor. We were all inclusive and the food was fabulous, there was an amazing selection every day, it was delicious, cooked well and there was a different theme every day so I can’t understand why people would say the food wasn’t great. There were plenty of drinks included in the package, granted you can’t get branded spirits but you have a great selection of cocktails, can pour your own wine, beer, soft drinks and sangria - (which was very good) so what more can you want. The evening vibe was very chilled, there was a singer on every evening but my partner and I took a stroll most evenings to the bars and restaurants along the coastline as the location of the hotel was perfect. Walking distance to Siam Park and the bus station also. If you want more of a party the main ‘strip’ is around a 15 minute walk. You can go left or right from the entrance of the hotel and both routes along the coastline will take you to the lovely beaches and nightlife all within a short walk. Every time we wanted to relax around the pool there were available sun loungers and it never seemed too busy around the hotel. We had a junior suite with sea view and it was lovely. Overall if you are looking for a relaxing stay to reset, eat and drink well and be near to local attractions this hotel has it all.
Beware the hotel reception is in the middle of a 500m hill and drop off’s & pick up’s are about 250m either side (NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH WALKING ISSUES UNLESS YOU ARE ON A WHEELCHAIR) Very noisy area especially in the morning it sounds like a construction sight. Food is very repetitive and very basic. Some staff are ok others are bit grumpy Night entertainment is NONEXISTENT what there is, is very boring. Most of the time it’s very quiet from holiday makers?
My friend has recently posted a review regarding our stay, and I was one of the girls in her party. I would like to add to her comments regarding the way this situation was handled.
Whilst I appreciate that hotels have procedures for dealing with alleged damage, I do not believe this situation was handled professionally. We were told we had to pay €600 for a cracked shower screen that we maintain we did not cause. We were informed that if we did not pay, the police would be contacted, there was a chance we may not be able to leave the island, and our room key cards would be deactivated. As young women travelling together, we felt we had no realistic option but to pay.
What concerns me most is what happened afterwards. Before making the payment, we repeatedly asked for an invoice showing exactly what we were paying for. Reception assured us this would not be a problem, and my friend has proof that we were promised an invoice from both the hotel and the supplier.
Since returning home, I have done nothing more than request the invoice we were promised. I emailed explaining the situation, provided my booking details when requested, followed up when I hadn't received a response, and then simply asked for the promised invoice. Instead of receiving it, I was told by the manager to not send anymore emails. I found this completely unprofessional, especially as I was only asking for something the hotel had already agreed to provide.
This completely contradicts what we were promised before making the payment. Weeks later, we still have no invoice, only a card receipt, which leaves us with no proper breakdown of what we have paid for and makes it difficult to deal with our travel insurance.
The hotel has stated that it believes this matter was handled professionally. If this is considered professional customer service, I believe that should concern future guests. It is a shame because we enjoyed our stay, but the threatening approach, followed by the failure to provide the promised documentation and the lack of communication afterwards, has completely changed my opinion of the hotel.
