We stayed in The Atlantic Holiday Hotel for 2 weeks during August. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and hard working and would do anything to help.
The hotel does not have air conditioning, we knew this when booking. We hired a unit from the hotel, I contacted them before arriving, so this was in our room when we checked in. Unfortunately the unit did not work properly, staff tried to come and fix the unit and they did then give us the use of the unit at a reduced rate to compensate. We hired a safe and paid for a sea view room. This was the most beautiful view and is the hotels selling point.
We were self catering and had many breakfasts and lunch at the hotel. The kitchen was clean and functional, there is not an oven or air fryer.
Staff cleaned the room daily and bed sheets were changed often during the 2 weeks. Again, staff were friendly and polite.
The pool is salt water, we knew this when booking our son wore goggles when using the pool. We always found a lounger or seat by the pool. Sun beds are not available until 9.00am, but many people queue by the gate to get loungers and many beds are left empty until lunch time with towels reserving them. The hotel did add more sun beds over the 2 weeks as the hotel did get busy, so they are managing this as best they can. Loungers are quite close together and the pool area has music and entertainment during the day.
We used the sun terrace when we wanted to lay in the shade, this was lovely and peaceful and had lots of space. Beautiful views can be seen from the terrace.
The hotel has a courtesy room, which you can use free of charge when you check out. This was not clean when we went to use it. However I stopped a cleaner and they soon stepped in and cleaned the room and provided towels for the shower.
We used the children’s park a couple of times, this area could do with some TLC as there was a lot of rubbish and areas sectioned off with broken furniture.
The location of this hotel was perfect for us. Lots of lovely restaurants in a quiet area, where we could then travel to the busier places during the day, the hotel would phone a taxi for us and they arrived in minutes and we booked day trips where a coach picks you up from Nebula restaurant.
We spent a morning at the beach and sat at a lovely bar there. Great views, the beach was busy but not over crowded. The parasols could do with fixing or updating as again, a little TLC is required. This is not part of the hotel though, but only minutes walk away.
Overall, we had an amazing 2 weeks. We would stay in this hotel again, for the price we paid, it is budget friendly, clean and you can’t beat the view!!!!
We returned last week after a brilliant holiday in Callao. The hotel was fab and we had 2 lovely, spacious studios with a sea view. Spotlessly clean, and the beds were really comfortable. All staff were lovely and particularly accommodating to our 9 year old son with special needs. We were self catering which was fine as there are lovely restaurants in close proximity. We met some lovely folk and all the kids loved the pool. No major sunbed wars. Really great value for money. We will be coming back one day.
Just came back from a 5 night stay.. Great location. Not too busy hotel atmoshphere is chilled and calm. We were self catering Lots of places to eat out but we did pay for lunch dueing our last day which i thought was quite cheap as drink arw included, small but good selection and fresh. Not many shops but does have small supermarkets close by. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were exceptionally clean, prior to visit a room air con was requested as no air con in hotel, it was put in room ready before we arrived. The views from hotel are fabulous. It is a 4* hotel but would say it is the lower end of 4* but 100% would recommend and also stay again.
Excellent location, 5 mins from the beach, shop and restaurants. Lots of places to eat out if not all inclusive. We did both, all inclusive for 3 days and then ate out. The resort is quiet, mainly couples and small families. All staff are friendly and accomadating. The hotel is very clean and tidy . Bar shuts alittle early (11pm), and there isn't evening entertainment each night however we had a lovely stay. Special mention to Serena, the morning yoga is a great addition and she works hard to provide the day entertainment. All in all a very nice hotel, great location and lovely staff. We will be back!!
