Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Quiet area although there are quite a few restaurants & bars nearby and a couple of supermarkets. Family friendly with the pool staff putting floaties out everyday. Pool bar good as well. Hotel very much set up for All Inclusive, B&B, halfboard, woefully inadequate for self catering with only a fridge freezer, hob, kettle, coffee maker and toaster in the room. No microwave, oven, air fryer.... Had a 1 bed apartment and a studio room. Rooms were very clean and the staff were lovely
We had a great week, at this hotel. Reading the other reviews we must have got lucky with our room as it was very nice and clean and didn't appear to be run down at all, and the view... wow! As others has stated it doesn't have Aircon in the rooms, but this was not a problem for us in June. Foodwise it's the standard All Inclusive Buffet. Perhaps smaller than most, but when we were there nothing ran out somethings I liked somethings I wasn't too keen on as happens on most buffets. The drinks again standard all local spirits and the Cocktails tend to be on a machine. Of course you can pay for branded and premium drinks. No issue getting sun beds. There as a snack area next to the pool bar that does hot drinks and water. As well the snacks. There are shops, eateries and bars around the area and it's a short walk to the beach. Also the staff were very friendly. So all in all a very pleasant week. My only minor niggle was I felt the safe cost was a bit expensive. Also there isn't an awful lot for Children to do (At least in June), it's a bit quiet.
An honest opinion, hotel yes we agree with lots of people run down in a lot of places, when we arrived we thought what have we booked here as we were also all inc, but as soon as we walked into our room and saw the view from the balcony and the size of the room we were a lot happier, food not great but okay, found that lunch time was better than the evenings, watched footie most evenings in the bar, tables outside need replacing and garden area in a bit of desrepair, the sunset at night to die for, the resort is old too but plenty of bars restaurants if you go self catering, went on some Jet2 excursions lovely reps helped us but we got caught out having to pay 20 euros to get to Porto Colon to get to the Catamaran as they couldn't get us a transfer then 20 euros back added 40 euros to the cost of the excursion which we will be complaining about as other visitors we spoke to got a transfer bus, all in all holiday was a lovely break but don't expect the hotel to look like the photos on here, also pool area during the day, nobody clearing around e.g. chips left by children on the floor near the pool area left there all day tables dirty, if it's luxury you want this is not for you but you get what you pay for and for us it was a week's break which we enjoyed in the end as for returning we would probably look for a more modern hotel.
Lovely hotel, great pool, lovely staff very relaxing and some great restaurants around
Atlantic Holiday 4 star hotel. Hi there just back from one of the 4star. According to the advert on Jet2 Holidays, this hotel was supposed to be a 4-star resort with plenty of activities, evening entertainment, poolside entertainment, good food, and a fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different. One of the most concerning issues was hygiene. Cockroaches were visibly running around in the kitchen area, which was extremely unpleasant and unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one advertised as 4-star. After breakfast each day, guests could not even get a drink until the pool bar opened. The pool bar itself was often dirty and poorly maintained. The swimming pool water was extremely salty, and when I asked the lifeguard whether regular water quality tests were carried out, he said he did not know and advised me to ask reception because he had not seen anyone testing the water. The children's play area was also disappointing. It consisted of only a small climbing frame placed on sharp volcanic pebbles, making it uncomfortable and potentially unsafe for children and difficult to walk on even while wearing sandals. The overall appearance of the hotel was very poor. From the outside, the building looked neglected and run down, more like a ruin than a 4-star holiday resort. Overall, I feel that the hotel was misrepresented in Jet2's advertising. The facilities, cleanliness, maintenance, and level of service fell well below the standards that were promised and below what I would reasonably expect from a 4-star hotel. I am very disappointed with the experience.
