Atlantic Holiday Hotel

What a lovely week away! I cannot understand the negative reviews for this lovely hotel. We booked 3 rooms as there was 7 of us, one room had elderly parents, another with 21year old daughter and her partner and then a large 1 bedroom apartment for myself, husband and teenage daughter which was huge. The staff (David and another helpful man) on the reception are very helpful, Sol, who works on the bar and the bar entertainment lady cannot do enough to help. The hotel is lovely and clean, loads of beds, pool very clean, lovely location with lovely bars and restaurants nearby. Would 100% return as it is such great value and such a lovely place

Very pleased with Hotel and the price. The Buffet was very good everything you need… the only negative i can add is could do with more bar staff as the staff are multi tasking with restaurant duties. I definitely would pay a bit more for air conditioning as rooms were very hot even though we had two electric fans and breeze from the sea. Night entertainment could be on a bit longer finishes at 9 p.m.

We had an amazing time at the hotel. Fernando at the front desk, and his colleague (I can't remember his name) were fantastic! really helpful and friendly. The things we loved: 1.staff were amazing onfront desk and at the bar 2. location of hotel was great for us, it was a quieter part of the island, but good reach to get the bus and go to Las Americas, and further into Costa Adeje - there's not much night life - so if you want bustling i wouldn't pick here, but for a relaxed chilled beautiful location, which is quieter, I'd highly reccomend. 3. Good selection of restaurants locally within walking distance 4. The room was a lovely size, and bedroom was huge! We didn't have a sea view room, which initially I was hoping to get an upgrade, however, we had the mountain view, and this was PHENOMENAL! I woke and watched the sunrise the whole time we were there, it was stunning! 5. The rooms were cleaned every day 6. Pool area was fab, there's a terrac that over looks the sea and it's spectaular, with a sunset view - so we got to see sunrise and sunset everyday, 7. Activities around the pool were fun, I was just a specator, but my mum (75 years young) did the yoga, and the water aerobics, and we really enjoyed the vibe 8. We had enough beds around the pool, and maybe because it was out of school holidays, there was plenty for everyone.

There's not much I'd improve on but some suggestions:

1. We were bed and breakfast, and so can't comment on lunch/dinner - being gluten free and knowing how great Spain and Ilsands are at catering - I feel like there could be more options - it was a bit limited.
2. The coach does drop you off at the top of the road, which isn't a problem, but if anyone has mobility issues or difficulties in walking, it can be a bit difficult,
3. The bus stop is up a hill round the corner, and this is partly Jet2 but also the hotel, in that there's no support for anyone who does have mobility issues, mabe the hotel could potentially have a spare car to take elderly up the hill, as when we visited there was a few people with mobility problems - the reception wasn't particulariy helpful on that day we were going for an excursion. My mum has severe mobility problems on some days, and so we asked for a taxi, and the reception said they may refuse as it's only a 5 mins walk and there was no compassion for the fact to an able bodied person, 5 mins up a steep hill is doable, but for someone with chronic back pain, this can be dibilitating. Then when the grumpy taxi man dropped us there, he didn't tell us, we were dropped at the wrong bus stop - so if you go the bus stop at the restaurant Nebula, you have to walk around the corner and up the hill a bit, not in front of the restaurant!
4. They advertised entertainment in the evening, but there was no entertainment on any of the 4 nights we were there, so maybe take the posters down - might be we were late in the evening? but there was no start time
5. No air conditioning in the rooms, - this wasn't a problem for us, it was warm, aorund 30 during the day and 22 at night, however we've lived in Spain before so was used to it, there was a fan in the room and it was enough for us, but i can imagine it can get really warm if you can't manage intense heat.
6. We did want to use the pool that was on the sea, as this was advertised with Jet2, and it was one of the main reasons we booked it, but the pool wasn't in use, and it looked lovely, with the waves crashing over into it, it was a shame but didn't take away from the hotel itself.

Other than that, we had a great time, and really enjoyed the hotel and would visit again if we want a relaxing chilled holiday.
