Beautiful location!! The staff were incredibly friendly and there was a good variety of food. There is a convenience store just up the road and plenty of souvenir shops to browse. Shoutout to housekeeping who did a fantastic job keeping everything sparkling. I travelled solo and didn’t once feel unsafe in the hotel, everyone was lovely!
Such a beautiful location We had 2 weeks of the hotel and had a wonderful time Staff were friendly and helpful especially the bar and waitresses The location is stunning The sun loungers we plentiful and had view of the sea or the pool. We decided on the sea views There is not shortage of beds available The room was good and a standard room was large. The main thing was the comfortable beds, as good as our own at home. We slept so well. People mentioned the thin walls but we only heard noise in the bathroom. The steps directly into the sea was amazing but take care when getting out as they can be slippery. Take bread and snorkels as the fish are amazing The hotel cat Timmy was a bonus 🐈 Tips Take your own towels as they charge 1 euro per towel per day. We took old ones and left them there. You don’t need to use the safe also an extra charge There is also a holiday tax to pay at check in which was 48 for both os us for two weeks which was fine but just be aware Don’t leave food on the table unattended as the gulls are cheeky 😂 Try the boat trip via Starfish was great day out shopping, swimming and dolphin watching 60 euros was a great experience We also went canoeing from the beach local Which was one of my favourite experiences Pools were great and se sent for an early morning swim every day. It says 10am opening but you can swim early where is just no life guard There are two markets - one in portocolom on Tuesday and one big one via a bus 512 on a Sunday in Felanitx In the evening we sat near the sea but for those who like a bit more life there was entertainment which was good. Visit the gym if just for the views
Cons
The food for vegetarians was nixed
Salads were great but the main course hit and miss with veggie options being what I would call sides.
The rooms were immaculately clean and inside reception but the outside ares were sometimes untidy. Which was strange as other reviews said it was good maybe it was an off week?
These are minor things and I am still giving 5 stars over all
I would definitely visit again 👍
The location was great, very quiet which was fine for us as we wanted a relaxing holiday. The rooms were basic, very clean, a net curtain at the window would have been nice for some privacy. Clean bed sheets and towels regularly. The smoking area could have been better cleaned, actually would be better relocated away from the swimming pool/bar area. Lots of ash and stubbed out fags making it look untidy - is too near the showers for the pool. I didn’t use the showers pre pool as I would need to walk in the smokers ash! The atmosphere of the hotel was overall friendly and pleasant. It’s a small hotel that I would happily travel to solo. Value wise we had a good deal through TUI and got a few good discounts making the holiday worthwhile. The staff were lovely and friendly. If you read books they have an amazing collection of books you can choose. Food was really good. Chef was out every meal time, food was piping hot and there was a good choice every meal time, we didn’t feel the need to go else where and we were there 2 weeks. The grounds of the hotel were huge so no issues getting a sun lounger, lots of space. They had entertainment which was good but a few more nights would be better. Would I go back to this hotel again - yes, absolutely loved it!
The hotel was beautiful just not somewhere I stay again. As a receptionist in a London hotel I naturally judged the hotel experience more and tbh the check in experience was lacking warmth, smile and I just left feeling like they did it badly. The room was ok, the shower had the shower head on the wrong side which was bizarre but it was for 2 nights. The food wasn’t great, I wish they had more fruits and desserts. I liked the pool and the outside seating for meals. The drinks did the job and it was a one and done experience. I would struggle a lot staying there for a week
We are currently enjoying a holiday at JS Cape Colom and, overall, have had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is peaceful and relaxing, with two lovely pools and plenty of sunbeds available. The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. The rooms are fairly basic, but they are clean and comfortable. My only criticism is the limited choice for vegetarians. We are now on our sixth day, and it has become clear that meat and fish eaters have a much wider variety of options. Vegetarian dishes tend to be the same each day, mainly consisting of rice, potatoes, or mixed roasted vegetables. While the food is tasty and well prepared, dietary preferences and requirements have evolved considerably, and I feel vegetarians should be offered the same level of variety and choice as those who eat meat or fish.Despite this issue, we have enjoyed our stay and appreciate the many positive aspects of the hotel.
