The noise outside our room is horrendous. It’s 1.44 am and the music is blaring. We cannot sleep. NOT RELAXING. We’ve come away to relax not to listen to music blaring at this hour!!!!
We stayed here for a friend's 40th birthday. We had two rooms with two people staying in each. The rooms were quite basic but spacious and nice, what I would expect from four-star accommodation. The bedroom was a separate room with two beds, and there was a small kitchenette that had just a fridge in it, but this was perfect for keeping drinks cold.
There were small supermarkets nearby to buy some snacks and basic alcoholic drinks. I couldn’t see any nice wine though.
The pool was fine but very busy and it wasn’t easy to get a bed.
The bar served nice food, and the drinks were okay but could have been better. We tried to order some specific wine on a number of days that they did not have, and in my opinion the wine wasn’t very nice.
It was a short walk into Portals, where it is absolutely beautiful.
It was quiet in Portals when we attended. However, there is a small beach which seemed nice, with some pedalos and a lovely restaurant that sells very nice food that we felt had large portions and really nice wine.
Portals is very picturesque and pretty.
We didn't eat there on an evening, however, it did look nice and there were plenty of boats to look at.
The main complaint I had was we booked a private transfer from the airport and we did this via the hotel website. It looks like it is organised via the hotel however they claimed that was not the case, even though their logo is on all correspondence. The transfer was expensive we paid 100 euro. They did not turn up and we had to get a taxi.
Don’t book the private transfer. There is plenty of taxis outside the airport and they were much cheaper.
We were unable to get any refund for the private transfer which left a bitter taste and the hotel did not help us with this.
We got taxis on most evenings to palma Nova. Not a place I like if I’m honest but I went with the crowd.
It was easy to get there and back.
The bar wouldn’t fill up our water bottles either - they said we had to buy their water bottles at 15 euro each and they would fill those up.
I would stay here again but I wouldn’t be in a rush to go back and would look for other accommodation to try first.
Returned yesterday from this hotel. I have to say that the staff really make this hotel, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Warm and friendly welcome when checking in. Reception area and throughout the hotel very clean and well maintained. Our Room 125 had a very large balcony (which we paid extra for) overlooking the pool area. The room was very spacious and very clean. Our daughters had room 123 which was just across the corridor from ours and again lovely spacious and clean room. The pool area was really nice and we always managed to get a sun lounger. Had a great choice of food for lunchtime if you did not want to venture out, breakfast had a great choice, but the stand out was the Asian Fusion which was held on the rooftop bar, the food was amazing, lovely views over the marina and great choice of drinks. Loved also that you could buy a reusable water bottle for 15 euros and just go to the bar throughout the day and get it topped up. I know that there is a residential apartment building next to this hotel that have a party over a few days in August and there was a few people unhappy with the noise, but we did not have any issues with this. My family and I really feel that this should be awarded a 5* status as just a wonderful time had by us all. Again thank you to ALL the amazing staff at this hotel.
From the wonderful spa like aroma when you walk through the doors, the warm welcome, as always, from Carmen through to the entire team, we have had another lovely visit to Tomir. Lovely spacious room, hotel spotless in all areas. Fabulous choice at breakfast with a great team looking after things. Nico really does have this place running so well. He and Carmen really have a fantastic team. So many of them have been here for years which is such a good sign. This is our 5th stay here and will definitely be back again. Thank you to you all at Tomir.
Room 517 - 3 friends staying in a twin room and a double sofa bed in the spacious lounge with sea view. Small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, coffee machine. Food - amazing choice at breakfast; fruit, cereal, omelettes, sausages, scrambled eggs, hash browns, cheese, meats, bread, pastries, etc. Plenty of choice at lunchtime and the portions were large. The only option for water though was to buy a €15 Tomir water bottle for them to fill up whenever. We chose to buy from the Nice Price shop round the corner. We ate up at Altitud, the rooftop terrace. Had a lovely vibe and we were well looked after by Darwin. Pool area - great size pool with separate jacuzzi pool. However, one side of the pool had seven Bali beds (€40 per day) which were unused during our stay. Due to this, the rest of the sun loungers were very close together. The adjacent hotel was very noisy on two of the days but didn’t spoil our holiday. Staff - could not fault them. Every single member of staff were pleasant, friendly and efficient. Great hotel with super staff.
