Nightlife is at the scope, macro discotheque BCM Planet dance is on the nearest and a casino. Natural parks and a golf course are also near. So wonderful, we extended our stay!
We originally booked five nights at Tacande Portals, but loved it so much that we extended our stay for another two!
Every single member of staff was friendly, polite, efficient and incredibly accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we were made to feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay.
Our room was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated in a contemporary, high-quality style. The bed was enormous and extremely comfortable, the air-conditioning was excellent, and the luxurious robes and toiletries were a lovely touch.
Breakfast was outstanding, with every conceivable choice you could want. Everything was fresh, plentiful and beautifully presented.
We had a truly wonderful and relaxing stay and would not hesitate to return. Extending our holiday by two nights is probably the best recommendation we could give!

An amazing week
We have just returned from a lovely week at Tacande Portal, we can’t praise it highly enough, from check in to check out, everyone was so accommodating and nothing any trouble. Antonella and Alex always seemed to be working on reception when we needed help and they were so knowledgeable and helpful, great front of house people. Hakim on the pool bar what an asset, lovely guy, great smile. To all the staff many goals for making our stay so enjoyable. George and Susan

Not returning
Disappointing stay despite a beautiful hotel
We were looking forward to our stay at Tacande Portals Wellness & Relax, but unfortunately there were several things that really affected our experience.
On arrival, we had to wait quite a while to check in. It was midnight and we were exhausted after our journey, so this was not the best start. Thankfully, the rest of the reception team were very helpful, friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
The biggest disappointment was the bedroom and bathroom design. The room itself was OK, but the glass panel between the bathroom and bedroom is a terrible idea. When the toilet is flushed, the bathroom lights up and the light shines straight into the bedroom, waking up anyone sleeping. Using the bathroom during the night meant disturbing my husband every time, and there was very little privacy. For a hotel aiming to provide relaxation, this design is simply not practical.
Breakfast was also disappointing. The food was OK, but the cleaning and clearing operation taking place right in the middle of the breakfast area was very intrusive. There was constant banging and noise while guests were trying to enjoy a peaceful breakfast — not the relaxing experience you would expect.
The hotel itself is modern and attractive, and some staff members were excellent, but these issues really let the stay down. Small changes to the room design and breakfast service would make a huge difference.

Relaxing stay
Great location & lovely and quiet. Food at breakfast very good with selection & quality. Staff all lovely and not changed over the past 2-3 years we’ve visited. Not over crowded as there are 3 different pool areas - 1 being for gold level with Bali beds. Pool bar is brilliant with the attention from staff - outstanding at all times.
