Iberostar Waves Bahia de Palma

This was our third visit to this hotel and overall it did not disappoint! The hotel is a great location, sitting outside the main busy section of Playa de Palma and has direct access to the beach. It has excellent transport links with a regular local bus service. The biggest asset in this hotel is the well-trained, professional and friendly staff across all areas of the hotel. It’s difficult to highlight any one member of staff as they are all so good, but a special mention of Pablo, Inma and Markita in the restaurant is deserved. There’s a good variety of tasty food options available on the menu with theme nights for dinner. The bedrooms are probably best described as functional in terms of size and wardrobe space. Housekeeping services are of a high standard and toiletries provided are lovely. We like to be out and about during the day and come back to the hotel swimming pool later in the afternoon. Unfortunately due to people reserving sunbeds with towels (all beds gone by 10am!) it was extremely difficult to get a sunbed at the pool. Indeed, during our first week we had access to a bed on only two occasions which was frustrating given the number of empty beds around the pool. As we have not experienced this on our previous visits it was disappointing. There was no evidence of a management policy in place for unoccupied beds. That said, the sunbed issue did not detract from our holiday and hopefully, the sunbed policy will be reviewed before our next visit.

Great hotel with a good selection of activities. A highlight of the week was sangria and cocktail workshops with Kris was great fun with plenty of free sangria and cocktails to drink
